First time visiting under new ownership. We ate burgers and fries. Nice 1/3 pound burgers cooked on a flat top. All the trimmings plus bacon when ordering a Deluxe burger and also comes with really tats you fries. They also grill the buns which is a big plus. I had the deluxe mushroom swiss burger which was excellent. The DW has the deluxe cheese burger and said it was good as well. They also serve breakfast in addition to lunch and dinner. I'll be sure and try out their breakfast as we live very close to the restaurant. I hope these owners can make a go of it n this location. Now a few months later and I've had breakfast. Their biscuits and gravy are outstanding!!! The homemade sausage recipe really enhances the gravy. It's now my regular breakfast joint. Stopped on our way home from camping in Winthrop. Hauling a 32" trailer it's not always easy finding a spot to pull over for a meal. This place had it all...it's basically your small town burger joint, with beer! It was nice to pull off the highway, have a sandwich and a beer and get back on the road to home. The people were very nice but when will I ever learn not to give a tip before receiving the order. My wife and I ordered only milkshakes without whipped cream. Of course, they both came with whipped cream. Both of us thought our shakes tasted terrible. Their burgers looked delicious but we probably won't return. I took a long hike and was ready for a hot meal to replenish my reserves. This is a little burger joint, ideally located right on Highway 20 just west of Concrete. We stopped here after our hike to find lots of parking and an empty dining room. We placed out orders with a friendly clerk and then sat in the small dining area. There is a lot of out door seating, too. This is a real burger place, food takes 5-10 minutes to prepare, so cool your heels. Order a beer (they have a few on tap) and enjoy the wait. I had the Kiwanda Cream Ale from Pelican Pub & Brewing and it was light with just the right hop-py ness. Perfect. Our food came and was served simply, a fire grilled burger atop a modest pile of crinkle cut fries in a paper boat. Nothing fancy, but then again, what else is required? Ketchup. Check! These are good burgers. Fresh cooked, lots of topping choices (I had bacon and cheddar, my dining companion had mushroom and swiss). Crinkle fries aren't my favorite but they were fresh and mostly crisp. The burger was hot and juicy, the combination of toppings perfect. Mayo is optional when ordering. This place is worth a stop.
