What a fantastic place!! In the heart of Peekskill..we sat in the courtyard and had an absolutely Delicious lunch. Our server Vicki was fantastic!!! Wine was perfect and the food was amazing!! Definitely check this spot out and Enjoy!!!

We found this little gem of a restaurant after a four hour hiking in the bear mountains. Let me tell you, we were starvinngggggggg. The reviews look great so we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, I was first grasped by the arty theme, some unique carving and paintings on the wall, give you a Wild West feel. We were immediately waited and did not have to wait too long for our food to arrive. In terms of the food, I absolutely loved my double patty smash burger. Juicy and yummy. The appetizer lentil soup was soothing, perfect for a Fall day.

Best bar in Peekskill. Great beer selection. Great bartenders. Nice art on the walls. Live music on the weekends. Nice patio on the side of the bar. And the food is amazing! You have to try the SMOKED chicken wings. Fall off the bone tender.

Biscuits with gravy

Cute local spot and surprisingly not busy for Sunday brunch. They have a $30 prix fix menu for brunch that includes a beer, bloody mary, or mimosa, appetizer and a main. Great value! The chicken liver mousse was decent and the biscuits with Memphis style gravy was ok. The gravy tasted cheesy, which I was not expecting. Like a lot of small businesses now, there is a fee that they clearly state on the check if you pay with a card. Service was great!

I walked into Birdsall House on a Thursday night with my wife. This place looks so unassuming. The inside feels like a bar like atmosphere. The menu seemed interesting. The food was really terrific and worth every penny. The service was quick and very friendly. I would definitely comeback here again. The bartenders are really nice and they make really great drinks. I tried one of the local craft beers that they let me sample. It is a place I would highly recommend.

Vegan Gyro

Highly recommend Birdsall House for great craft beer, decent cocktails and delicious food! I recently tried the vegan seitan gyro and the vegan cauliflower wings. For house-made seitan made at a non-vegan establishment I was pretty impressed! It is a bit spongey but super flavorful and if you're vegan dining with non vegans I think you'd be satisfied. The cauliflower wings were delicious and even my non-vegan husband loved those. Next time I can't wait to try their jackfruit crabcake Po' boy! The cocktails were OK- not bad just maybe a bit bland. The wine on tap was delicious and you can't go wrong with a draft beer. The inside is a bit outdated but the patio is delightful. It is on a busy street so can get noisy. Overall I think if you're vegan Birdsall House is definitely worth a trip. Update* I also recently tried the vegan jackfruit po boy sandwich and it was also delicious! The vegan remoulade was perfectly balanced and had a little kick!

The perfect smash burger doesn't exi-- Yes It does, and it's here. I'm not typically a huge burger fan but this was so so good. Two patties, good amount of cheese ratio, and a yummy sauce inside. Melts in your mouth! All of their sauces are house made: the ranch & mustard were my fav. Also, these fries are just about the most perfectly salted, crispy but soft fries out there. So so good

Amazing food, attentive service and artsy atmosphere. Great find for a road trip. Highly recommend both the beet salad w the date purée and the best Reuben sandwich and fries I have had in a while.

Beet and Quinoa Burger

I like this place. Nice outdoor seating and great service. My beet and quinoa burger was so delicious and the fries were yummy. The house made ketchup was a refreshing change as was the house made mustard. You MUST try the house made pickles too--really really good. Overall a very pleasant luncheon experience.

What was the Bread Pudding ‍ to good to wait!

Nice place, a very original menu with good meat and no meat choices. I had the chicken sandwich with a side of polenta. Both were excellent.

Throughout the evening there were various live musicians in the room next door. We heard bagpipes in the beginning and as we left there was a live Irish guitarist. For food, we started with the carrots. They were phenomenal and everyone's favorite part of the meal - there were very delicious caramelized bits and the sauce was flavorful and complementary. I had the shrimp and butternut squash ravioli and everything was well cooked and seasoned. It was a rich dish, with cubed butternut squash and shrimp on top of the ravioli. Everyone really liked their dishes. The creme brûlée we ended with was delicious as well. I'd definitely recommend Garvan's when you're in town!!

The main building, a historic house built in the 1700s, is fascinating, and they've done a wonderful job preserving it. Unfortunately, the food was a letdown. The menu was quite limited, so I ordered a burger thinking it would be a safe choice. We waited 45 minutes for a simple burger, which felt unacceptable. When it arrived, the brioche bun wasn't fresh, and the patty itself was okay. Overall, it's worth visiting for the history, architecture, and scenery, but the dining experience fell far short, especially if you are passionate about food quality and know what good dining should be.

I cannot wait to come back here. Popped in on a rainy day after hiking, I was really impressed with…read morethe excellent beer options on tap. Having some of my favorite beer options from the local area / North East (shout out to Mast Landing's Gunners Daughter). Aside from the beer, the tacos here were incredible. They are not lying about the best tacos in town. Although the seating area is on the smaller side, it never felt cramped - it was the perfect spot to spend a few hours this rainy day. As a bonus, the bar tenders were super knowledgeable on the local beer scene. I really enjoyed hearing some of their stories on how certain breweries ended up on tap at Draught Industries. Hoping to be back again this summer/fall.

Beacon is a destination town for beer lovers. Between Industrial Arts (which brews some of my…read moreall-time favorite beers), Hudson Valley Brewery, Two Way, and a handful of others, you could spend a whole weekend here just brewery hopping. Draught Industries fits right into that scene. It's a spot run by people who clearly care about craft beer, with a long, rotating tap list and a laid-back, slightly quirky vibe. But what surprised me most was the food. I started with the pulled pork sandwich with ghost pepper aioli. The pork was tender and smoky, and the aioli brought real heat without drowning out the meat. If you like spice, get it. The real reason I'll be back, though, is the wild boar tacos. I love wild boar, and you almost never see it on a menu, so I ordered it the second I saw it. They come topped with guacamole, pineapple pico de gallo, and habanero peppers. The richness of the boar, the creamy guac, and the sweet pineapple against the habanero heat all worked together perfectly. Easily some of the best tacos I've had in the Hudson Valley. Great beer, bold food, and a menu willing to take chances. If you're doing a Beacon brewery crawl, make Draught Industries a stop. And come hungry.
