These guys were amazing, once again, amazing. They moved me around the corner about a year and a half ago and that was great as I had previously reported. Then I had to move again. UGH! Was not happy. I found a place a few miles up the road and they came and packed me in one day, moved me the next. Very mellow, quiet, kind, and considerate. Little did I know the new place was going to be UNINHABITABLE!!! After a week of tears I decided I had to get out of there and I moved again. Called Birch and they made it happen almost overnight. Since I hadn't unpacked but a few boxes, repacking was easy. So they came and did it all in one day. Fair and decent price. Good guys. Highly recommended. read more

My friend has used the Birth Circle Movers service twice and recommended me to contact then when I was in need of help. They have FREE boxes and moving supplies, which helped me tremendously. Paul is super easy to work with, and he is very compassionate. They helped me move from San Anselmo to Vallejo with THE BEST PRICE EVER!!!!! I was very blessed to have their hands. I absolutely use their service again when I need help. No doubt!! You don't lose anything....because the Birch Circle Movers are GREAT! A+++++++++++++ read more

Best move I've ever had. Paul showed up ON TIME to do an estimate and it it was not for a pesky roll away desk that took longer then expected, it would have been exact. He even worked around my final 4 watching needs (GO NOVA!) so that I could be finished and in the city in time to watch my team. His crew was fast and professional. They wrapped everything and unloaded with out incident. They even offered to move boxes around once the truck was unloaded and I had paid the bill. I would definately use him again if we ever move again. read more

I had a good experience with this moving company. Just had them pick up a (very large/heavy) table at a local store and deliver it to my house. Scheduling was simple, the quote was honored and they were on time. The guys were very nice, polite and were careful in the short time they were at my place. If I move again in the future I will call them. Having just moved twice in a short period of time (with a just so-so company and then truly terrible movers) Birch CIrcle looks to be a much better option. read more

Birch Circle just moved our business from downtown San Francisco to the East Bay. They did a fantastic job-- customer service was great, they were incredibly flexible, and had the highest level of professionalism. Their prices were reasonable as well. Our move had several annoying things about it-- the elevators weren't properly functioning, it was an incredibly hot day, and we had to reschedule once. The movers somehow managed to maintain their cheerful, helpful demeanor despite these major inconveniences. I would highly recommend using Birch Circle for your business moves and would also be quick to hire them if I move my home in the future. Thank you! read more

I would have to say that I was completely blown away by the great customer service and movers that Birch Circle aka Always on the Move provided both me and my roommate. The guys were fast, efficient and friendly. I used them for an onsite transfer within my apartment community and my roommate used them to move her bedroom furniture over to the apartment. All in all, I was completely satisfied and will definitely use them for my next move. Thank you! read more

I've known Paul at Birch Circle Movers for well over a decade and I highly recommend his service to anyone who needs to get moved quickly, efficiently and smoothly. He's quick to make an estimate that will be the total cost of the move. He would rather get your business and make you happy than make as much money as possible on your move. Give him a call, you'll be glad you did! read more

Paul and Co. just moved us for the third time and I've finally remembered to come here to gloat. Hoping that this is the last move for a long while, but when the need arises, and even though we're now 60 miles away, I'd still call Paul for help. We faced a last-minute move and Paul accommodated us into his schedule within the week. He is professional and straight-forward, yet still thoughtful and sincere. He will get you setup on the specifics of the job - volume, distance, timing, estimate - and a team shows up at your door on moving day, on-time and ready to get straight to work. I'm an anxious, get-it-over-with, kind of mover, so I like to have everything boxed and organized, as well as all of the furniture ready to put on a truck when the movers come. This make's BCM's work fast and efficient. We've never paid more than the estimated price, because when these guys show up, they work until it's done. No lolly-gagging around; they hit it hard and swift. And with the speed also comes precision and care - three moves and not a single thing broken, scratched, shattered or dinged. With this last move, I just stood back and let them have at it, completely assured that it was going to be over with quickly and safely. A big thanks to Paul and the various BCM teams that have helped us in our various life transitions. Sorry that we only get to do business with an organization like this when there's a life fire drill! read more

Birch Circle recently moved my family from South Lake Tahoe to the Bay Area. They did a fantastic job. I spoke with Bob initially and he quoted an accurate price. There were no surprises at the end. The moving team did amazing, 2 movers came and loaded all of our stuff in just about 2 hours. We did have everything packed and waiting for them in the garage to help save their time. Then once we arrived to our new home, 2 more men joined the team to help get it unloaded quickly. They were so kind, even picking up stuff from a storage unit in SLT and dropping things off to our new storage unit. When I move in the future I will definitely use Birch Circle again. read more

Paul and the team are FANTASTIC! The day I called him he came out to my house to give me an estimate. The number was right and I just had a feeling that Birch would be the best moving company for the job(and i interviewed many) I had an extremely challenging move and the crew of six(yes six) handled it so well and they were fast!. They showed up on time at 9am and I was in my new home 50 miles away unpacking by 7pm that night! Not only were they extremely professional but went the extra mile to make sure the job was done right and that I was happy with it all. Thanks Paul and to everyone at Birch Circle Movers!! read more

These guys were great! Professional, on time, careful, hard working, flexible, friendly and honest. And I have moved a lot! I have had nothing but bad experiences with movers: charging more at the end than promised, charging for every blanket they used, tape they used and green cellophane stuff they used to wrap whatever they elected to wrap, bringing a comparatively small truck when they couldn't get a larger one--then charging for the extra time, gas, and trips etc. Although my move took longer than they had been anticipated, the Birch Circle Movers stuck to their price. At first I was concerned that Paul , the owner who bid the job, was not going to be part of my team, but Duke's The Man. He ran the show like a consummate pro going above and beyond the call of duty: He spackled a place in the stairwell that had been just slightly gouged AND offered to return to paint it. I would never use any other mover, ever!! read more

We had Birch Circle Movers move us very recently, because they were local, and I checked out the YELP reviews, and got an in person estimate with a maximum from Paul. I was a little concerned about a few reviews that were less than positive as they are important to read too. Most of those prmarily 3 star reviews and a couple lower, were older and on rare ocassion it might happen, with the usual growth pains of not always getting the right workers in place on every given day. I decided the predominantly 5 star reviews were good enough. Sure enough, we got 3 experienced powerfully built workers who were smart, knowledgeable packers and movers. They arrived on time in the mornings. With three flights of stairs I joined in by moving light stuff as I am used to going up and down stairs. I was impressed with their care, quickly packing the fragile stuff with blankets and the saran wrapping around them. We had lots of energy drinks along with healthy iced tea drinks like iced matte available. All three plus myself went for one energy drink in the morning. We had water too though they carry their own on the truck. I have a history of hiring young guys through the grapefine or other hired help and renting a truck, but I must say this was a nice move and took half the time! My wife no longer wants me risking my back and having uninsured movers, so I guess we will use them again as we have one more move coming in about a year! read more

We hired Birch Circle to move from us within Marin County in the beginning of June. Most of my dealings with Birch Circle were exemplary but a few things kept me from giving them 5 stars. I hired 4 movers for my move - the movers were on time, fast and hard working. They handled our things with care. They wrapped most items in a furniture blanket and shrink wrap, including all 3 sets of mattresses. Not one thing was chipped or damaged, despite my own hasty and crappy packing job. (When we moved from SF to Marin, I packed VERY carefully with bubble wrap and I had several things broken and chipped!) My husband commented that they were so fast that he could hardly keep up with giving them directions. We moved our own electronics/computer. Things that disappointed me - the estimate. I didn't receive the touted "not to exceed" estimate and my total bill came out to be at the very high end of the estimate. I was told four hours for the move but the estimator failed to tell me that their trucks are small and that while I would only PAY for 4 hours of moving time, the two trips back and forth, plus lunch would work out to be over 6 hours of time. I find this to be pretty unacceptable as the estimator actually came out to my house to look at its contents in order to give me the estimate. I would expect the estimate to be very accurate and I was highly disappointed that I wasn't told about the small trucks and the fact that it would take two trips. But overall, I was pleased with the service, would recommend them and would probably use them again! read more

Moving tends to be a stressful time however Birch Circle movers made it so easy for us! They packed, unpacked everything and sorted the kitchen in the cabinets better than I would have done it! All of the movers are friendly, flexible and professional. Birch Circle also manages my storage and anytime I need something from it, I give Rikki a call and he have my stuff delivered to my house the same day. I would definitely hire Birch Circle next time we move! read more

I was so impressed with Birch Circle Movers! They were recommended by a friend and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them myself after our wonderful moving experience. Alton was professional and friendly when he came to give a very reasonable estimate (far cheaper than other quotes we received). Movers Ed, Mike, Jessie, Angel & Lucas did a beautiful job both on the loading end and delivery. They were polite, competent and responsive in spite of the 100 degree heat. I can't say enough good things about Birch Circle Movers! read more

Outstanding once again. These guys are powerhouses! Needed to move a 5 bedroom house to a house across town. They came in and gave an estimate that I thought was a little high but after talking to Rikki he came down and made it reasonable. This is the second time that I have used them in the last 6 years. To be honest I was a little bit leery because of a couple bad reviews here. Rikki called me and talked me through them and explained his situation and that is ultimately what made the difference. To be honest, I called another four companies to come out to bid on the project. The prices ranged from $900 flat to $1400. It ranged from two guys doing the whole job to four. Some had alright reviews and some had great reviews. It came down to personal references, previous experience and Rikki being outstanding! They showed up on time with a big truck. Four guys that did not mess around. The lead gentleman was super nice and his communication was great. He listened to what I wanted done and what was important to me. At no point did I think he/they were doing a half ass job. In a matter of an hour an a half they had my entire house packed up solidly in the truck. I watched the whole time to make sure they handled the fragile stuff correctly and that they didn't smash or damage anything in the packing. They did not. They got to my new house and then proceeded to unpack the entire truck, put every box and piece of furniture in the right room and were completely done with the entire move in a little less then 4 hours. It was so quick and so easy and that made our moving experience top notch. Not only would I recommend them but I would use them without a doubt in the future. Thanks Rikki! read more

Never hired movers before- but as I was moving for the second time in less than a year, I knew I couldn't rally my friends again...just not right. So, after talking to some locals I gave Birch Circle a call. Paul was very prompt in returning my call, and came by within a few days to give me an estimate. I booked him on the spot. Moving day was great. It was raining, but the guys totally took good care of our stuff- Wrapping everything in blankets and plastic. And still getting it all done so fast it came in 2 hours under the estimate. Nothing broken or scratched. I highly recommend them and will call them next time we move for sure!!! read more

A great experience from my very first phone call of inquiry to saying good-bye to my movers, William and Michael. As everyone knows, moving can sometimes be difficult, but my move was completely problem free! Both Will and Michael were not only efficient in the way they handled my belongings, but were an absolute pleasure to meet Every furniture piece arrived safely, including my grandmother's 125 year old antique table. Yes, the move cost was the same as quoted, too. A very communicative and professional company. Would I call Birch for a future move? You bet I would! Thank you Michael and Will and good luck to you both. Birch Circle is lucky to have you! Julie read more

I was referred to Birch Circle movers by a friend who had moved 4 times in the past 5 years and used 3 different moving companies. He highly recommended Birch Circle movers over all the others. Their customer service was professional, detail oriented, respectful and friendly. They were on time both moving us out of our house and back in during our remodel. My main contact Aaron was helpful, responsive and energetic.. Aaron, Sergio, Duke and Guy were an unbelievable moving team. We had several very large and complicated furniture pieces which they took very good care of. Also during the move in they were cautious with the newly painted walls and newly installed wood floors. Even my contractor was impressed. Thank you Paul for sending us your best team!! read more

3rd time using BCM. Very professional. On site estimate. They know how to move in the hills of west Marin!

I originally found Birch Circle Movers on Yelp, called Paul and scheduled a move last October. I had to move again this month and called Paul first because he was really great to work with the first time. This time was no different: I found Paul to be very kind and professional - easy to work with and easy is what we all need during a hectic time. He called the day before the move to confirm our appointment. His moving team moved my belongings from one location to another and the price was fair. The only reason Birch Circle Movers is receiving 4 stars is because I used a moving company a few years ago that set the bar very high. I'll have to look back to see if I reviewed them: It was a busy time. Let's just say that one of the movers at this other company was a motivated, energetic Tetris player which made this mover very happy. At the end of the day, at Birch Circle Movers, you get what you pay for and it feels good to support a small, local business. read more

Very easy to communicate with/fast response time and the owner, Paul, was extremely helpful and accommodating with my last minute request to have a sofa moved that same day. Also for a very reasonable price! I will definitely hire these guys again for all my moving needs going forward... Update-just hired this company again (now under new ownership (Ricky). I was very happy with the professionalism and work ethic of the movers, both who went above and beyond including cleaning out my clogged up vacuum so that they could then vacuum under furniture as they moved things, which I didn't even ask them to do. Also they took apart and put back together an outdoor storage container for me and to be honest, they re-assembled it better than my contractor had originally! I also found the pricing to still be very reasonable, and it was easy to communicate with the owner and his staff on the phone in advance. read more

I can not say enough good things about this company. Moving is notoriously painful and Paul and his team at Birch Circle provided A+ service. They arrived on time and proceeded to move our entire 3 bedroom house in record time taking the utmost care of our furnishings. We had such a great experience, we recommended them to the people who bought our old house and they too had a fantastic experience. From the moment I read their reviews until the last piece of my stuff was expertly placed, I was completely impressed with this business.Everyone is bright, kind, efficient, careful, adaptable and willing to go an extra mile to not only move your things, but to consider your budget, organize, pack, help you unpack and take away the boxes. They work so well together that what's usually a trauma of moving becomes a well-supported, even pleasant transition because you have the confidence of knowing the job will be done well in a very personalized way. I had to wait later than expected for movers to arrive on the move day, but that was only because they had generously stayed longer to help with an unexpectedly complicated situation. When they arrived for me, they sent a double crew that moved me out in a flash, even though my move was a bit complicated. I'm a 30 year county resident and as a nurse am often asked for references to local businesses. I would recommend these people to anyone for jobs large or small, with long lead times or short. They are always on the move(and smiling). read more

In addition to providing excellent service to clients, Birch Circle is also a very generous contributor to the community. They provide a pro bono truck and movers to help Grateful Gatherings Marin furnish the homes of Marinites who are transitioning from homelessness or poverty and moving into their first homes. Birch Circle's wonderful staff picks up heavy donations, like sofas and dining tables from donors on our "gathering days" and then delivers and installs them in the "new" homes of the people we serve on the same day. As the other reviews indicate, their staff is very friendly, efficient and simply a pleasure to work with. The fact that they have a commitment to contribute back to the community earns them a sixth star, which, unfortunately, is not available of yelp :) read more

I've moved a lot of times in my life, and Birch Cicle Movers is the absolute best of the bestest! The creme de la creme of moving companies! Great experience. Moved my father (86/yo) from his town house to our family home. He was very apprehensive as 22+ years of "stuff" was tucked into every nook and cranny. Krista was an angel. Organized, wrapped and boxed for two days while still finding time to pamper my dad and console the distraught neighbors who dropped by to say their goodbyes. Krista was instrumental in helping us develop hardened soles while adhering to the idiom, "when in doubt, throw it out." (We pretty much filled two dumpsters.) Three weeks have since passed and we have easily located and unpacked of all of dad's "important stuff" thanks again to Krista's super organization. The price was right, the movers were incredibly friendly and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate using Birch Circle in the future. read more

Like so many other people, I highly recommend Birch Circle Movers for their friendly and utmost professionalism from the first phone conversation to my waving goodbye to the movers. Recommended by a friend, I contacted them in the middle of the pandemic and a few days before Memorial Day weekend, desperate to move my things from a storage unit to a newly rented studio apartment as soon as possible. I knew they probably wouldn't be able to work my move in before the following week, but they did. It was quite a stressful time for me, looking for inexpensive rentals during the shutdown; so I am especially grateful for the extremely reasonable fees and their calm assurance with my worry about it all falling into place. The two movers were right on time, worked quickly and were very careful with all my belongings. Thank you! read more

I have used this company before when I purchased a sofa and 2 armchairs three years ago and the guys who moved the furniture were wonderful, professional, quick and strong. I saved the information for the next time I would need them and now am moving into my own Condo. Paul, the owner, personally came to meet with me and go over my needs for the move and gave me a reasonable quote. I then called him 2 days later and asked if would consider breaking the move into 2 separate moves, boxes first and the following week the furniture. He said "of course". Yesterday the boxes were moved, smoothly, efficiently, on time and without any problems, breakages or problems. These guys are great! After watching them do a fast, thorough, and conscientious job moving my parents I decided to hire them again for another move. Rick, the owner, is a great guy who knows that moving can be an emotional process even when it is positive. And the crew takes care to do an excellent job moving your stuff, making sure it doesn't get damaged, and setting it up just how you would like. They are always early and fast as well. We just moved from the city to Greenbrae yesterday and we had a fantastic experience with Birch Circle movers. We had a great move thanks to Paul, Bob and all the Birch Circle guys! We moved from Mill Valley to San Rafael with a lot of furniture, patio stuff, and even a bunch of heavy and awkward woodworking equipment. They are EXPERTS at finding every available nook and cranny in those trucks - my husband swears there wasn't a spare inch that wasn't filled. That means our stuff was well protected from shifting during moving. I know from experience that most movers are not nearly as careful. They thoroughly wrapped our new couch and all other furniture in furniture pads and plastic. I've not seen so much as a scratch on anything. Our final cost came in at about $100 over, but it was still a great deal and worth every penny. I highly recommend Birch Circle for your move if you want a positive experience at a fair price. read more

Okay, I'll accept that maybe I'm in the minority here, but I would RUN away from Birch Circle Movers, they are HORRIBLE. I also don't know where the Not To Exceed estimates come from. The estimate I received was about half what I ended up paying. Let me share... On the strong suggestion of Paul, I hired FOUR movers. Guess what, I got THREE movers and ONE stoner loser who was "working on barter" for Paul. For that reason, I guess he figured he didn't have to do anything because I never saw him carry more than one box at a time and mostly he cracked bad jokes. Next, they dropped a stack of electronics that Paul told me not to pack because he assured me that they would wrap it carefully as is, and it wasn't necessary to un-hook all the cords. Although the bookcase on which the electronics was SHATTERED they swore that they "caught the electronics" before they hit the pavement. Luckily, everything seemed to work except the cable box which was replaced by Comcast. They tore our king sized mattress because, again, they didn't figure it needed to be wrapped. Fast forward to the end. The move took twice as long as estimated and I couldn't WAIT to PAY THEM just to get them out of my home and life forever. OH and let's not forget that you always write a check to one of the employees, never to Birch Circle. I guess that's so they can't be sued for damages or something. Never again. NEVER EVER AGAIN. read more

Watch out for his slick taking ways. First they did not send enough movers to the job then they sent too many and tried over charged us $1,000. The job took too long and our things were crushed and damaged when we unloaded. They offered to make a claim with their insurance and then would not follow through. We need get our damaged things repaired/replaced and take them to small claims court for their negligence and unscrupulous ways. I would not recommend them to anyone. It's not worth the hassles. read more

THIEVES!!!! Birch Circle Movers is the worst moving company! Not only are they not reputable but they stole my items, did not provide a proper inventory and then donated to goodwill what they did not want of my belongings. Refusal of providing proper paperwork should have been a HUGE red flag. The movers did not come prepared with the proper amount of materials and they supposedly do this work everyday!?!?!?!? Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. There was no prior notification and they did not follow California guidelines and laws regarding their responsibilities to the owners. There was no communication back from this company regardless of the number of times I contacted them and left messages for them. The owner is the most unprofessional and nasty individual and definitely not a business man who provides any type of good customer service! Stealing from the customers is deplorable and unlawful. PATHETIC If there was a way to close them down, I would ! The DA should go after these thieves! Zero stars for this joke of a business. Idiots, they're all idiots! read more
