The meat inside was seasoned well and the dumpling wrapper was the perfect thickness. The dumplings definitely reminded me of Chinese xiaolongbaos. The chicken used in the curry was fork tender and the curry poured over the rice was hearty. Portion size is pretty good for the price. Unless you have a giant appetite and come starving, you will certainly find the combo plate to be very filling. Overall, I found Bini's Kitchen to be one of the better food spots in the Farmers Market to check out -- would recommend!

Kasa Indian Eatery has at least two locations I still easily go to, and the one in Nob Hill is one of them. Same signature chai of the locals, and a very interesting snack or appetizer. While the Spinach Pakora is satisfyingly crunchy from deep fried chickpeas, a hot cup of chai is bold as ever. A female wait staff asked if I can have another pair of biscuits for the chai. Why not? After all, almost every local customer has fallen in love with the chai that exudes health benefits. I'll be more than glad to go for another round of the same drink I like to have with a different snack. Whether I'll be in Nob Hill or in the heart of Castro, Kasa Indian Eatery never fails to please more locals and tourists alike.

Vegan dumplings filled with tofu, carrots, & cabbage. Also served with the spicy tomato cilantro sauce on top. I love how clean yet tasty this is! Vegetarian Combo ($18) - Comes with 4 vegetarian momos and one veggie side served on top of fragrant basmati rice. For the sides, I love the Baigun Bharta, a tomato-based braised eggplant. It's saucey and pairs extremely well with the rice. The only reason I'd dock off half a star for this combo is the price. You can also mix and match the momos. According to one of the current owners, this restaurant has been operating for just two weeks. I walked in late this afternoon, their only customer until I finished my meal. They offer quite a robust menu with two pages of breakfast choices, another two pages of lunch and dinner options, and pages devoted to appetizers, desserts, and drinks. I zeroed in on their lunch bowls and decided on the $20 Bharta of Eggplant (Photo 9). It was a well executed version of fire-roasted eggplant mashed up with a spicy masala. The flavor was nice and smoky. The owner kindly came over before the dish arrived and offered complimentary servings of chopped veggie salad (Photo 10) and jasmine rice (Photo 6). The combination helped vary the texture and flavor of the umami-rich eggplant. They offer alternatives to soft drinks, so I ordered a refreshing $9 glass of Lemonade (Photo 8). It was a modest meal on my part, but given the enticing vegan selections, I'm sure I'll be back again. Also nice with that red sauce that comes on the side Potato & Onion Piroshki: Another deep fried dough pastry. More dough and more filling than the chebureki. Kinda felt like Italian fried dough. Though the filling was definitely not Italian, with subtle smooth potatoes and caramelized onions. Surprisingly light for deep fried. Lamb Samsa: A flaky baked dough with dense bits of lamb inside. The dough on the bottom was particularly dense and hard. Wasn't crazy about the texture, but the taste was solid. Lamb Pigodi: Essentially a giant steamed dumpling, cut open and stuffed with shredded carrot salad. It was difficult to eat with the plastic spork provided. That aside, it had nicely spiced minced lamb filling and lots of thick dough outside. Shashlik Wrap: Fluffy pita bread made by them, not from a plastic bag. Lots of fresh veggies and herbs. The onions and carrot slaw give a nice tang. Plus skewers of lamb for that nice pita combination. The lamb came on skewers, so you had to pull it off. Didn't seem grilled to order, but was probably grilled a tad earlier in the day.
