Love their momo (steam dumplings) with the sauce. They pair so well together. Momo had lots of cumin flavor. Had the goat biryani. Goat was tough, but if I cut in small bites, it was ok. I find it a tiny spicy even though i asked for no spice. It was so pretty with the saffron color. You can ask for different spice level. The chicken Tika masala sauce was so smooth and yummy. Chunks of white meat chicken. Some were dry but if you like white meat, this is your place. It came in a very nice bowl. Next to salt shaker was the magic spice. It looks like cinnamon but it is a special spice, like sweet chili sauce It really add taste but too much means spicy. Nice service. Great place to have conversation. The lunch take out is so cheap. Can't wait to go and try it. Got to go back.

I have been to this place twice, and each time was consistently delicious! I will let the pictures do the talking as I forgot what we ordered. The first time I went, we ordered a vegetarian thali with naan and biryani. The thali was 3 meals for me. My friends loved what they had. We went all out the second time I went with a different group of friends. We had regular naan and garlic naan, saag paneer, lamb curry, etc. It was once again a lot of food that we took home. Everything was delicious. Service was friendly, although a little slow, but we did not mind. There were no issues with cleanliness. I have been here twice with friends. None of us got sick. We will keep on returning as we really enjoyed our meals.

I've tried different things from here before and I think it depends on what you order. I didn't like the chow mein at all (perhaps this is an Indian style and not my palate as I'm used to chinese chow mein). The mango lassi is good although I wish it was a bigger size. I got the chicken tikka masala, samosas, and naan before, and I thought those were pretty good.

Dined as a party of two for lunch and the food was delicious! We ordered lamb korma, paneer makhani, vegetable biryani, garlic naan. Forgot to take photos of the food but I took a snap of the decor. According to our friendly server, they've only been open five days and they seem to be doing brisk takeout business already with the number of folks we saw pick up orders. The menu is accessible by QR code, then your order will be taken by the server. Service was a little bumpy. We wanted to split the bill on two credit cards and our server didn't (know how to?) do that. There was also a strong smell of cleanser or disinfectant that was less noticeable as time passed. My receipt is attributed to Nepalese Indian Restaurant on Fillmore but we definitely were at the former Ananda Fuara location. I'll be back to try other dishes or one of the lunch box combo plates - noted as "to-go only" on the menu.

Bone fragments from the goat Biryani

I went at 1:30 and it was nearly empty. The ambiance was fine. It smelled fine (unlike what other reviews said) and it was very clean on the inside. The food wasn't bad I had to leave and wasn't able to finish my food because there were so many bone fragments. I ordered the goat biryani and after I noticed bone fragments I started taking small bites and picking them out of my mouth because I didn't want to waste the food but it got a bit excessive (like 2 fragments per bite) and quite dangerous. Below is a photo of just the bigger ones. I also saw reviews complaining about the service; it's ok but certainly not up to the American standard of service. The waitress wasn't coming around to my table all the time but she still did her job just fine

Empty restaurant. Ghost town. Predicting that this place shuts down in less than six months.

So I decided to give this place another chance, and the disappointment continues. This time, not only was the service terrible, but the food was laughable! I paid $17 for a chicken choila salad. The image below speaks for itself

    Tasty!

Based on my recent order, everything was executed beautifully, from the rich curries to the fresh sides. The Stars of the Show Chicken Tikka Masala: This classic dish was a creamy revelation. The chicken was incredibly tender, and the sauce struck a perfect balance--rich and flavorful without being overly heavy or sweet. It's easily one of the best versions I've had in the city. Saag Curry Lamb: A true highlight! The lamb was cooked to perfection, falling apart with gentle pressure. The Saag (spinach) curry itself was deeply savory and earthy, seasoned masterfully to complement the meat. It had a wonderful, comforting depth of flavor. Sides & Bread Perfection Yellow Rice with Vegetables: This was a vibrant and flavorful accompaniment. The rice was perfectly cooked--fluffy and separate--and the inclusion of fresh, tender vegetables (carrots, peas, etc.) made it a substantive and refreshing side dish. Garlic Cheese Naan: Absolutely essential! The naan was warm, pillowy, and generously stuffed with melted cheese and fresh garlic. It wasn't greasy, and the balance of savory garlic and gooey cheese made it irresistible for dipping into the curry sauces. Overall Verdict Yarsa Napalese Cuisine delivers an exceptional dining experience. The ingredients taste fresh, the spices are complex and aromatic, and the preparation shows genuine care and expertise. If you're looking for fantastic Nepalese and Indian classics in San Francisco, look no further. This place is a gem! The service was great ! The waiter was very friendly and it was a nice vibe in. The restaurant. Highly Recommended Dishes: Chicken Tikka Masala and Saag Curry Lamb.

The ambience and service is nice. However now I am wondering if Jhol Momo is a difficult recipe. While the dumplings were great I didn't feel the same about the Jhol broth. It didn't had the flavours - maybe needed more salting but was definitely lacking something which I can't pinpoint. I still have to give it to Seattle for having best Nepali Place so far when compared to SF, Vancouver and Seattle. On the othe hand - I really enjoyed their Mango Lassi - I wonder if they make it by themselves!

From the start we were impressed with the incredibly friendly service. To start, we got the fish pakora. Although deep fried, the pakora were crispy without being greasy or heavy, and had a nice fresh flavor when dipped in the accompanying mint sauce. For our entrees, we got the daal makhani and the mixed vegetable curry. Both entrees were very tasty, but our favorite was the daal makhani, which had a nice smoky flavor. We also got a side of garlic naan and Peshwari naan. Although I hadn't had Peshwari naan before and was skeptical about whether it would go with the meal with its sweet flavors, the filling of coconut, almonds, and sultanas was so delicious that it was my favorite part of the meal. Also, although it was sweet, it didn't have too much sweetness to create an imbalance against the rest of the things we ordered. Highly recommend this place for great food and impeccable service!
