This is a wonderful place close to the Hilton San Francisco Union Square Hotel. We ordered the tandoori chicken, lamb wrap, chicken kebab wrap, and chicken wrap. We had to wait like 10 minutes, but all food is made fresh to order. Delicious and tons of flavor. Also, owner told us that masala chai free for laying customers. Great for a quick lunch or dinner.

Me and my brother came here for the first time after we heard good reviews (from Khabib). We ordered the chicken tikka masala and lamb vindaloo curry which we loved. The mint chutney was really good too.

You cannot argue with the taste and utter magic that is of Chutney's Tikka Masala! The ambiance is basic, the service is hardly there. You risk your life navigating the TL if you dine in. And if you do dine in, you pay after you eat. I have been coming here & ordering takeout for well over a decade and continue to come back like it's a spiritual pilgrimage. Some things are worth all the compromises they can present. I love this place.

You might not be impressed by the restaurant's presentation and decor, but the food here is really good. When I came here and saw no one was inside. I had a second thought whether we should try somewhere else. But, my friend insisted. We ordered two curries (one lamb and one chicken) and a chicken wrap. We loved all of them. They were all so tasty and creamy. I ate some fast, and that is how good that is. They also give out free chia milk tea. It was pretty good too. The people here are very nice. They spent time talking about their specials. I will come back or order take out next time.

Food was so good! Portions aren't big but it's generous for the price you pay. Between my husband and I, we ordered chicken tikka masala, ground chicken and beef seikh, rice, and garlic naan. It all came to roughly $30 and it was plenty of food for us. The service was okay and the ambiance is very basic. It definitely gives off a false vibe. You walk in and order your food, sit down and eat, then go up to pay. The place is very chill. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Will be back.

    Closer view of cockroach.

The food portions were very small for the price, and the restaurant was extremely dirty. Staff was very impolite. Worst of all there was a cockroach roaming the under the table next to us!!!

Hot take, but the tenderloin is home to some of the best food in San Fransisco. I said what I said. Chutney is a halal Pakistani/ Indian restaurant that delivers. Making food for the heart and serving customers at break neck speeds, this restaurant is an essential for San Fransisco Muslims and anyone who enjoys this type of cuisine. Ordering delivery or coming in during Ramadan nights, chutney is the best in its class. The chicken is flavorful, the naan is fluffy, and the curries are to die for! The restaurant itself is a delight, and is so inviting for families and friends

The kofta itself was soft, but didn't have super strong flavor. Chicken Jalfrezi- the flavor for this was decent, but once again super oily. I also had to use a paper towel to soak up the oil. I had gotten this as it sounded healthier- just stir fried chicken, veggies, tomato sauce, and spices- but the oil really over powered here. Shalimar Chawal- basic rice with some spices/flavor. For the price it was good. I'd be open to trying again in the future, but really hoping it's not as oily next time.

Their Daal is rich, spicy (in the best way) and the sliced jalapeños really make it. Pro tip: You get enough for at least 3 meals - so get it for dinner and enjoy it for a couple lunches!

The plate came with lamb korma, rice, and garbanzo bean (chana dal), naan, and a regular soda/drink. OMG it was delicious! I haven't had good Pakistani food in a long time. The lamb korma had so much flavor, a little spice kick (loved it), and the chana dal was surprisingly good too. I hate any kind of beans but this was so good. My picky toddler even ate the lamb and rice! It was that good. My husband lamb wrap was a treat too. They had this sort of sweat relish, it went so well with the lamb. The lady who was at the front was SUPER nice, super accommodating. We had a crazy toddler. She brought over water and eventually came over and dropped our food off. We sat in the back patio.
