We came here on opening day and got to try the food for free! Mezli is located at Spark social alongside the other food trucks. Ordering at the kiosk was easy. It did take some time for our food to come out, but I imagine they were smoothing out some things on the first day. The food itself was fine - definitely on the blander side, but at a good value (based on the regular price and compared to similar Mediterranean spots). I personally don't mind bland food as much, since I usually find some seasonings to be too salty. I like the concept of Mezli, but I do wish we could get a peek into the truck to see how things operate. I feel like the entire novelty lies in the automated robot operations, so not getting to see them does sort of defeat the purpose from the consumer perspective. If I were in Spark Social, I'd definitely check Mezli out if I were looking for a healthier meal option. read more

Was very excited to try this place at Spark. I mean, a robot is putting together your Mediterranean food and it's backed by a legit chef. This is the future! You won't see the robot though, they keep it under wraps with no window view to see the robot itself so whether a robot is really cooking your food? Who knows! First day at Mezli Fully robotic restaurant! Super excited always dreamt of having something like this Ordered a build your own bowl. Amazing UI! Easy to understand and add. Can be fully customized. Nice eco friendly containers Food review : It took like 45 min to get a customized bowl. Food was average. Expected a little more from this place! probably the cheapest option at spark social and still very delicious! i paid less than $10 for this make your own bowl and the ingredients were very tasty and I was surprised that the falafel was not super dry, unlike many other mediterranean restaurants in america. I also was a huge fan of the romesco sauce and buttoned mushrooms :) The portion size was a little small, but super reasonable given the affordability of this meal. Sad I couldn't see the robot make it but the whole experience of ordering and receiving the food was also really fun! read more

Incredibly affordable! Where are you going to find a lunch that costs around $5 packed with whole foods and is really tasty? I mean it's even cheaper than Chipotle! A bowl comes with a bed of rice and lots of different veg. You can opt to upgrade to cauliflower rice or add meat. I had the rice bowl with chicken and all the included toppings (i.e., roasted brussels, cauliflower, summer squash, beets, pickled onions, cucumber), and crunchy bits of fried onions, crispy chickpeas, and seeds. There are a few sauces you can pick from. I didn't know what any of them were, so I just chose the first one, red chermoula. It was smoky and sweet with a bit of a kick, delicious with the rice and veg. My favorite bits were the rice, the roasted veg, and the crispy chickpeas. Next time, I would skip the chicken. It was a bit dry and really didn't add anything to the bowl. I would also skip the pickled onions. They weren't quite pickled enough and had too much of the raw onion bite for my taste. Love how easy it was to put the order in online and customize the bowl. It is so ridiculously affordable. I think next time I will order several to eat throughout the week. read more

Yum!! We got the veggie bowl (which is vegan) and it was so delicious! A big serving size for just $5- I was able to eat it for 2 meals! The bowl comes with plenty of healthy toppings like roasted eggplants, bristle sprouts, chickpeas, etc. I love the red sauce which complimented the rice and veggies perfectly. The crispy onions on top gave a lovely crunch that gave it a variety of textures. The ordering process was very smooth, and pick up was super easy! Came out to Mezli tonight to test out their robot-served meals. Full disclaimer: I received the mail for free. It was a very cool experience to eat Greek food that has been assembled by a robot. The order interface is neat and very user-friendly. They offer a few different types of bowls, including lamb, chicken, and falafel, as well as a variety of snacks. All the bowls are fully customizable, with a wide range of sauces, fresh salads, and carbs to choose from. It takes the robot a couple minutes to prepare the food and it comes steaming hot through a very cool window that changes its opaqueness when you can pick up your order. The seating area is shared as part of Spark Social. There are plenty of picnic tables that make this place perfect for groups. Definitely a great ambiance for catching up with friends on a weekend or hanging out with colleagues after work. I look forward to coming back and tasting some of their other items read more

Really good food at super low prices. Seriously, when was the last time you had a meal for under $10 in SF? I got the za'atar chicken bowl and it was really flavorful and had a nice interplay between the meat, the sauces, and the pickled vegetables. Also, it's apparently assembled by a robot? Such a tasty, affordable and healthy option! I got the Classic: Chicken on Turmeric Rice. They did not skimp on the chicken at all. The bowl is loaded with veggies and has a nice crunch factor from the crispy chickpeas. The meal is very filling and I love that the containers are made from plant fiber and are compostable. My meal had red bell peppers which I absolutely abhor. They were not listed on the menu for the item. Also the meal seemed recently microwaved which would not have been my first choice. The "restaurant" is not even a food truck. It's more of an automat. The food actually tasted pretty good and the person helping me navigate the automated system was super nice. The system was pretty new and not intuitive to navigate. I liked the idea of Spark SF but the music playing in the beer garden was too loud and there was not enough shade. read more

This is a great little hidden spot that I'm glad I discovered. Although it is online only and out of the way (at Kitchentown), I am so glad I decided to eat here today. The food all came out excellent and right on time. I ordered the Healthy Chicken Cauliflower bowl and was blown away by the quality and taste of the food, even with its relatively low price. The chicken was tender and juicy, the cauliflower was cooked to perfection, and the vegetables were flavorful, complementing the dish flawlessly. I really hope that these guys are successful and expand, because by god do they deserve it. If you're in the area or desiring some fresh Mediterranean cuisine, definitely give this place a try. read more

This is actually a tech startup disguised as a Mediterranean Chipotle! They create really flavorful bowls. I usually get turmeric rice with cauliflower and falafel. The standard toppings are pickled onions, roasted Brussels sprouts , hummus, roasted chickpeas and such. All in all very tasty and really inexpensive lunch. 8 bucks. Highly recommend! Everyone has already talked about how good the food is. And it is! Today I placed an order for pickup at 12:30pm but due to a work conflict I couldn't pick it up until 2:00pm. Since my food was sitting for 90 minutes waiting for me to pickup, Eric decided to make me a fresh order when I showed up at 2:00pm. Simply delicious -- full of flavor but so well balanced. We have ordered bowls for lunch twice in the past week and *cannot* stop talking about how delicious these bowls are. Tender, greatly seasoned chicken on top of rice with so many different veggies (love the pickled beets!), hummus, and a variety of crunchy toppings (the fried onions!!). Not only is this one of the most amazing things we've eaten lately, but it's a hearty portion for a reasonable price. Yum! Wow, I'm really impressed by this place. They're so fast and the food is so good. The chicken and lamb are so tender (not dry at all). There are actually a lot of Mediterranean bowl options in this area there is a lot of competition, however this is by the the best that we've had. The sauces are very flavorful, and there are a lot of variety of sides in the bowl. Only gripe that I should have also ordered a pita! Next time. Alex and company were so easy to work with and kept me updated with my large order. Food arrived hot and ready to eat. The breakfast comes with several small dishes and dips served with pita bread, while the wraps are large and generously filled. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, especially the hummus and the flavorful chicken inside the wrap. The restaurant is close to the Mission District and, from the outside, it might not immediately catch your attention, but it is definitely worth trying. The service was also excellent, and the ambience made the experience even better.

My previous review was for the Burlingame location. I have no experience since they moved. They changed the address/location and used all previous reviews. If you are going here and looking at reviews, I suggest using "newest" to see if any changes have been made or quality changes. I don't like when restaurants or product pages move reviews from locations or items and carry them over. This is not a good indication of current location quality or item if it is a product review. They also have a bustling store at the Ferry Building. Sunlight pours through the windows- almost the entirety of its walls are windows - and you can see the staff hard at work making momos, the delicious Nepalese dumplings they became known for. Momos have either vegan or meat filling, your choice. We tried the chicken momos, tumeric (jeera) rice and two different stews including my favorite, baigun bharta, grilled eggplant and onions in a tomato sauce with spices- SO delicious! I'm already planning to return for their combination plates both vegetarian/vegan and the grilled Nepali chicken, too tempting to resist. Many of their offerings are vegan and they're so flavorfully delicious, I'd happily be vegan for a week out of every month eating nothing but Bini's delicious food. Parking is challenging (not impossible) and DoorDash or Uber Eats delivers if you're not in walking distance (it's close to Moscone and central to everything in SoMa).
