I honestly wasn't planning on eating here -- I just walked by, caught the smell of the food, and had to stop in. I tried the Yemeni kebab with tawa bread, and it was incredible, especially dipped in sahawiq. But the real standout was the maraq (soup). I've tried maraq at several Yemeni restaurants, and none of them nailed the traditional flavor -- this was the first one that actually tasted like my mom's homemade maraq. Authentic and so, so good. I'll definitely be recommending this place to my friends and family, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

They also have a bustling store at the Ferry Building. Sunlight pours through the windows- almost the entirety of its walls are windows - and you can see the staff hard at work making momos, the delicious Nepalese dumplings they became known for. Momos have either vegan or meat filling, your choice. We tried the chicken momos, tumeric (jeera) rice and two different stews including my favorite, baigun bharta, grilled eggplant and onions in a tomato sauce with spices- SO delicious! I'm already planning to return for their combination plates both vegetarian/vegan and the grilled Nepali chicken, too tempting to resist. Many of their offerings are vegan and they're so flavorfully delicious, I'd happily be vegan for a week out of every month eating nothing but Bini's delicious food. Parking is challenging (not impossible) and DoorDash or Uber Eats delivers if you're not in walking distance (it's close to Moscone and central to everything in SoMa). Our server did not give us a breakdown of any dish, or even the categories on the menu (which by the way, are in Russian). They kinda expected us to "know" everything on the menu. People are raving about the service but I personally just didn't experience the same kind of hospitality. We ordered a borsch, a beef stroganoff, and a viennese schnitzel. I wouldn't say the food came out slow, but it was at the pace of a homecooked meal. The borsh tasted a lot better than ones I've had, and the sour cream was very creamy and fresh. The beef stroganoff was the star of the show with how flavorful and creamy it was. The beef was very tender, and the kasha was especially good. It's definitely enough to fill one person up. The viennese schnitzel is basically a fried pork cutlet (like a katsu) but with different seasonings and paired with some kind of red sauce. The mashed potatoes...were just mashed potatoes. The portion felt a little small for the price for what you get, pork cutlet and mashed potatoes being $27. I can see how authentic this place is, but being tucked so far away in Richmond naturally gets it lower foot traffic than other more accessible spots. The food is delicious and if people are willing to take their grandparents here, then you know it's authentic. I just wish the service was more attentive. The chicken used in the curry was fork tender and the curry poured over the rice was hearty. Portion size is pretty good for the price. Unless you have a giant appetite and come starving, you will certainly find the combo plate to be very filling. Overall, I found Bini's Kitchen to be one of the better food spots in the Farmers Market to check out -- would recommend!
