We ordered the fish tawa, chicken momo, daal bhat with chicken, seafood curry, and za'atar naan, and avalanche in Everest cocktail. Everything was 10/10 amazing. So many flavors and spice! Enjoyed everything we ordered and can't wait to come back!

We tried some chat options and the most important of all momos (dumplings) - both chicken and vegan. It was good food. Ambience is 5 start and service was pretty good. Really amazing atmosphere. However I felt the flavors didn't blow me up. I really liked what they were trying to do with veg momo - in my humble opinion if they would have kept it traditional I would have liked it more. But really good concept. Overall recommend this place - slightly overated but ambience is worth the dining experience.

For someone who wouldn't necessarily go for Indian food (just personal preference), this place was pretty solid. The butter chicken and garlic naan was good and the chicken chow mein had a nice spice to it and good flavor. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. It wasn't too busy for a Sunday night dinner either which was nice for our party of 6.

Everything 10/10. Must order the kale chaat- so refreshing and aromatic! A good mix of sweet, savory, crunch, and creaminess. Ugh so good. The Momo was just as delicious. Warm, chewy skin, and juicy filling. Saag curry with chicken- the chicken is pull apart type of cooked, not "blocks" of them. The curry was so good. And the garlic naan was also freshly made and crispy! Never too much garlic. I'll definitely be back and this place is incredible - you won't be disappointed. Our server was super friendly and regularly checked in with us. Clean space with ample seating and even a room in the back for reservation I think!

Met a friend for dinner; we each got the nonalcoholic mango spritzer. We then shared a refreshing watermelon feta salad, some garlic naan, and the seafood curry. The seafood curry came in a tomato based sauce with shrimp, mini clams and cod. It was a healthy serving complimented by the naan. Would definitely go again; not too crowded but fairly busy for a Monday. It seemed like they had a private dining room as well.

Dancing Yak serves Napali / Himalayan food and very similar to Indian food with a lot of curry dishes. The momos are very popular here which are steamed dumplings filled with meat or vegetables. The meat is tender and tasty. The chicken momos are the most popular. I definitely recommend ordering the garlic naan which comes piping hot. We always order this dish which goes well with the curry dishes to mop up all the sauces. The tikka masala and butter chicken are our go-to dishes here. Highly recommend.

This is a cozy trendy Himalayan restaurant perfect for a chill dinner. We came in without a reservation on a Friday night and got a table within 15 minutes but it was quite busy. Our order did get a bit messed up and we ended up missing an item, only to get the wrong item once we brought it up-- but everything was still very tasty! I would recommend family style to try different dishes and get some rice and naan.

my friend got the chow mein and i got the butter chicken with a side of rice and a side of garlic naan. the chow mein was amazing and i would totally come back to just get that. the butter chicken was also good but wish it was a tad bit smoother (a little gritty). the garlic naan was not good because it was so burnt and crispy. we also got the momos and they were good, along with the sauce they're served with. they have a good menu with extensive options, including drinks. i'd recommend getting a drink because their tap water tastes so. bad. overall, i would come back here. the service was good. we didn't have reservations but we did also come on a wednesday night.

my friends and I came here on sunday night for dinner, hoping to have some good nepalese & indian dishes. we shared the goat curry, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and chicken chow mein all with rice and garlic naan on the side. a few of us are butter chicken enthusiasts and agreed that it definitely lived up to the standard! the tikka masala was also a favorite- the sauce was creamy, rich, and the tomato flavor really came through. the goat curry was not for everybody, but those who love lamb really enjoyed it, saying the meat was extremely tender. the only gripe about our dinner was that the service was a bit slow- it took a long time for all the curry dishes to come out and the naan they served was barely warm. I think it would've definitely been on a whole other level if everything came out hot. the restaurant is beautifully decorated but dimly lit, we unfortunately had to be those people who shine flashlights onto the menus. but otherwise, the ambiance is warm and cozy and we had a good dinner overall.

Came here with a party of 3 around 6pm on a Saturday and had no wait. The restaurant itself is pretty cute and vibey which I appreciated. We ordered the lamb shapta, goat curry, daal bhat, and garlic naan. Everything was really tasty, but my favorite was definitely the goat curry + naan because of the flavor. However decided to give it 4 stars (instead of 5) because all the meat was kinda tough. The lamb in the shapta was pretty hard (flavor was good tho), and the meat in the goat curry was kinda too dry (not as tender as I expected). Everything had really good flavor tho so still liked the place overall!

Don't let the modern ambiance and forest green let you think that this food isn't homey! The kale chaat came with perfectly crispy kale that resisted sogginess. The lamb shafta was well seasoned, and I loved the soft bao that came with it. The pork belly was good, but simpler than other dishes. I wasn't impressed visually at first, but the lemongrass and herbs in the sauce was a yummy surprise. Each grain of the tumeric rice was also well cooked, and paired very well with the chicken curry. The garlic naan was super crispy and buttery and the perfect vessel for the sauce! I recommend getting the curry spicy!! Despite a busy Friday night, the service was quick and friendly.

Let me start off with - I generally do not eat Indian food in SF or Nepalese food outside of momos. I prefer making it better at home myself. This place though is absolutely amazing and absolutely worth it. Probably only 1 of 3 Indian places I would recommend in SF The butter chicken was yummy! Cheese naan was even more insaneeeeeeeeee. The shatpat lamb was interesting. The bun part. The lamb itself was great. Also the momos are the best I've had in this city. 4 for 10 is pricey but ugh they are def some of the best momos I've had

A 5 in quality but portions are small shrinkflation Went early on a Friday evening, and the restaurant was bustling (we had a 1 hr 15 min time at our table)! The interior is darker with warm lighting at each table, warm but snazzy. We ordered the Spicy Cauliflower, the Tofu Shapta, and the Paneer Tikka Masala with Garlic / Zaatar naan. The cauliflower was delicious (only 4 pieces tho), thoroughly coated in the spicy sauce and well fried. The Shapta was yummy and charred - I enjoyed the steam bun as a palate cleanser. The gravy of the paneer tikka masala also had me almost licking the plate :) and the naans were really soft and strong with flavor! I ordered the tamarind margarita, which was also refreshing and tangy! The service was prompt and helpful, and they didn't rush us out before our time slot. All in all, great option for delicious food!

Ube Cheesecake ($19) Wonderful dessert cocktail to finish the night. We didn't have time to try the Escape Room connected to the Speakeasy, but we'll be back! There are two rooms, one in the front with a puzzle theme, and another in the back with a Middle Earth (Lord of the Rings) vibe. Staff was friendly and took time to explain the clever menu to us!

Lore's Wonderland escape room was a fun and delightfully whimsical experience. **This review is…read moremainly for the escape room, as we did not order any additional drinks outside of the escape room.** THE SPACE // Lore Speakeasy and Escape Room has cool themed decor everywhere, from the dimly-lit speakeasy/bar room in front, to the Middle Earth/Lord of the Rings-themed board game room, to the individual bathrooms, and of course the escape room's multiple Alice in Wonderland-themed rooms. Clearly a lot of effort went into building these rooms and evoking a certain vibe for each. THE ESCAPE ROOM // The puzzles in the escape room varied in difficulty - some required us to think a bit more, some required our observational skills to work harder, and others required a light level of physical skill/movement. We were perplexed a few times but never got stuck for too long, as the White Rabbit (played by Phoenix, the live actor/puzzle master) would jump in occasionally to provide clues over the speaker or in person. It took us about 1 hr 20 min to finish the entire escape room; I thought the pacing was good. THE [ESCAPE ROOM] DRINKS // Lore's escape room experience comes with "a flight of themed cocktails or mocktails, including "potion"-style drinks that are integrated into the experience as you progress", per the website. We got to choose one cocktail/mocktail option (Korean Cold Noodles) from a list on the website, and the other two drinks are pre-selected to supposedly fit into the Wonderland theme, with the flavors described online as "berry" and "peach". You can get both cocktail and mocktails for your party, in case some people want alcohol and others don't. We all enjoyed the flavor of the Korean Cold Noodles cocktail, which was refreshing and surprisingly a bit minty in the mocktail version. However, we didn't like the two other two pre-selected themed drinks as much. The "berry" drink gave us cherry cough syrup vibes, and the cocktail version of it was quite strong. The "peach" mocktail drink reminded me of canned fruit syrup; we also were missing the two cocktail versions, though we decided not to ask for them as the mocktail version already was less than impressive. One other missed expectation here was the size of the drinks that we received in the escape room. We were expecting full-sized cocktails, like what they serve in the speakeasy in front. Instead, we found out that the drinks are served in small "vials". Given the size of the drinks in the escape room, combined with us not even enjoying two out of the three drinks, I would preferred to go through the escape room without the drinks at all, and likely pay a bit less for the escape room then. OVERALL // I'd still recommend the escape room as a good one-time experience with a date/friends/family. Just don't expect too much from the included themed drinks! The speakeasy drinks on the main menu do sound unique/tasty, so I might come back again to try those sometime.

We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.
