We picked this restaurant to get some Vietnamese food for lunch. Upon entering the restaurant, I was not really elated by the interior. It seemed little bit old and messy but decent enough to dine-in. The menu had all the popular dishes like banh mi, pho, vermicelli, broken rice dishes, and of course drinks like Thai iced tea. Of course I ordered the tea, it was pretty good, liked that it was on sweeter side. I ordered the lemongrass chicken on salad (57). I was absolutely blown away by how good the dish was. They gave two giant pieces of chicken, with perfectly grilled golden skin and moist soft meat in the middle. The salad, mix of cucumber, carrot, radish and tomato, was so good with the fish sauce. Even though I was bummed out by the dining space, I loved the food so much, I could ignore those short comings. I am pretty confused to be honest as to the name but all I know is I had some bomb ass Viet food here. So the confusion is the name, on Yelp and the receipt it says Binh Duong II, but on a small little sign in front and on Google it says Pho Time Bistro. Not sure which it is but make sure to come here for some excellent Viet. The food: Summer Roll- To preface, I am not normally a fan of summer rolls since I find them to be rather plain and boring. This one on the other hand was excellent, I would say the best I ever had. The veg had the perfect crunch, the rice paper had the perfect consistency and the shrimp was cooked perfectly then the sauce added so much flavor and wasn't too sweet as it typically can be. Grilled Lemongrass Pork over Rice- This was the shocker dish, it's the best Viet grilled pork I ever had. It was perfectly cooked, had a nice smoky flavor and it had good flavor while sweet, it wasn't over the top sweet. Beef Pho- I thought the pho was really good. Just a good quality beef pho with a nice broth and tender beef. The broth was very light, this is a bowl you can eat and not have it feel too heavy or greasy. Chicken Pho- This was a nice version, broth was super clean and light, the chicken was cooked nicely. I thought this was a respectable chicken pho but I enjoyed the beef version more. Bun Bo Hue- I thought this was a good dish. This felt like a pho but with a spicy kick and a underlying fish flavor. Loveddd this place! I've been wanting to try it for a while, and I finally got the chance to stop by yesterday. Immediately, my partner and I were greeted by our server and were given cups of water. My partner ordered the spring rolls with a Thai iced tea, and I ordered Bun Bo Hue. The iced tea did not take long at all, and it was flavorful! The spring rolls were so crispy and the garnish looked so nice. My soup didn't come out much longer after the spring rolls, and it was delicious. It had a great amount of noodles, beef slices, and overall toppings. I was so full but I kept pushing by the end as honestly it was really that good lol. The server was also very attentive throughout our meal. By the time we were done with our food, our server came by to fill our waters again, but I did say no as we were getting ready to leave and I didn't want to waste a whole cup of water, although we really appreciate the gesture and the kindness of the staff. This is truly one of the best Vietnamese places I've tried! I would like to note that we did come in at a time where it was a bit empty (only one other family was in the restaurant at the time). However, when a restaurant is usually empty, we notice that servers tend to not be as engaging sometimes, so we really were thankful to have an experience opposite of that. Stumbled upon this place while in Union NJ. This is hands down one of the best Bun Bo Hue's that I've had - we also had it as takeout and ate it in the car. I'm always looking to find a Vietnamese place that has Bun Bo Hue because not many do and some of the ones that I find aren't really good as they just add spices into a water broth. A group of 11 of us came here for lunch on a Sunday. It was pretty empty so they were able to seat us right away. Inferior was very old school. I ordered the summer rolls ($5.95) as an appetizer and Small Pho with Sliced Raw Beef ($8.50) for the main dish. Most of us ordered pho and the others ordered items from the lunch menu, which ends at 3pm. The food came out pretty fast. Summer rolls: 3.5/5: Just average. I've tasted a lot better. Pho: 2/5: First off, the pho broth had an odd taste to it. We had to put hoisin sauce to add in flavor to the broth. The noodles were the worst part. The texture was hard, as if they just took the noodles out from the freezer and reheated it. It didn't taste fresh at all. Service was pretty good but the food was extremely disappointing. We came to this Hillside location because it finally started offering indoor dining!!! Parking was plenty since it's in a plaza with Seabra market (market parking lot is free and big). Oh and dining indoor for pho is just not the same as take out. It was nice to taste that delicious pho without sticky noodles (takeout noodles get very sticky). At least what we order here, comes out nice and delicious, always, like: the Cha Giò- Vietnamese spring rolls, chubby and crispy to be wrapped in their very fresh lettuce and fresh mint. We love this so much! And then the: No. 12 Pho comes out piping hot as the thinnest slices of rare beef cooks in it. I would add some jalapeño, bean sprouts and basil to it, too. The broth is enough to temporarily forget your worries of the day. But there's strips of tripe in it and some brisket and of course, rice noodles. It's a serving fit for two, or three, if you're already semi full from the spring rolls. My son always orders the grilled bbq pork and he was never disappointed. We come here regularly. It's one of the favorites in Vietnamese Pho and Grilled Port Chops. The dip for the summer rolls is very sesame-peanuty thick. I have had Vietnamese at others restaurants within the local area and its not the same recipe. This one is a favorite. Also this shop does not charge a service fee to dine-in. read more

Come in for a massive steaming bowl of incredible pho. I went with my favorite, pho tai nam, and the broth was incredibly rich and came packed full of meat. They definitely didn't hold back on the portions of meat in the bowl. It came with the usual side plate of fresh bean sprouts, jalapeño and Thai basil to add as you would like. Great thick chili sauce (not just Sriracha) on the table with standard hoisin as well. Service was quick, courteous and efficient.
