Pineapple friend rice.

The worst pineapple fried rice I've ever had. More like curry fried rice. I've had my fair share of authentic Thai cuisine and this isn't it. Packed with curry flavor and no scallions in sight. Could use some more veggies. Not worth the price.

This is a good lunch spot in Center Newark area. Their dishes are pretty tasty, at least the thai basil sauce that I tried. It was a really good mix of vegetables, peppers, chicken and basil sauce, a good portion of rice with it too. The chicken wings looked tasty too, though I didn't get to try it. I tried Pad thai, was little disappointed. Not the type of taste I expect from pad thai. The restaurant has sitting spots upstairs, but its not in the best shape. Better if you do just do take out. But they are really kind to bring your order upstairs, if you dine in.

It used to be decent Thai food with some good variety in dishes for quick pickup or delivery. The quality has deteriorated in unbelievable ways. I found a large piece of plastic wrapper in my Noodle soup. Not sure if that's carelessness or the level of hygiene they maintain. This restaurant needs to be reported for food safety. They don't answer phone and Uber eats isn't helping with issues like this.

pad kee mao chicken

Found my new go to spot for thai food! Decided to try this place withvmy coworkers despite all the negative reviews and was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend ordering ahead for pick up. The place is small with additional seating upstairs. I got the chicken pad kee mao (chose hot spicy level). It is very good and had some kick to it but if you like really spicy then go with very hot. My coworkers enjoyed their green curry and got very hot. I also ordered a thai iced tea and liked how they double sealed it in plastic and paper bag for added protection against spills. Would definitely order from here again!

Fried fish with mango salad.

Branching out beyond Portuguese and Pizza for dinner on Fridays, we decided to try 9 Thai based a recommendation from our neighbor. We order the Chicken basil fried rice Shrimp Pad Thai And a whole fried fish with mango salad on top The whole fish was surprising better than I thought but it was saved by the mango salad which was delicious on top of the crispy overfried fish. Since we order delivery, the fish came wrapped in a foil and the salad in a wonton container, that was clever. My partner pad Thai was okay, he was disappointed that after paying extra for the shrimp it was rather small in portion. The portion was also disappointing on the fried rice. For $12 it was definitely not worth it. Will probably not be ordering from here again. It's a shame that there's not good Thai option around. The pad Thai and fried can probably be order from Mr. Shu for less.

They have a fairly big place for them to be in the "main street" of Montclair so there's plenty of seating there. We were greeted right away when we picked up our order, but the guy did take a little bit to find our name. We got their basil fried rice with chicken in their pad kee mow with chicken, both medium heat. I have to say, this is the best Thai food. I've tried in New Jersey. The price is incredibly cheap for the amount of food that you get, the spice level was true to what we asked for, and it was incredibly flavorful. We paid $14 for each plate and we're not only had dinner but also had leftovers for the next day (for two of us). This is now definitely our go to Thai food place!

We ordered the green curry and pad kee mao, and both were packed with flavor. The green curry was rich, creamy, and comforting with fresh vegetables and tofu soaking up all that coconut curry goodness. The pad kee mao had that smoky wok-char flavor with perfectly chewy noodles and just the right level of spice. Also loved the fresh coconut water to cool everything down between bites. Big shoutout to Stephenie, who took amazing care of us throughout the meal. She was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel extra welcoming. Definitely a great vegetarian-friendly spot in Montclair if you're craving flavorful Thai comfort food.

Upon entering as a first-timer, I was greeted by the owner's wife, Bankie, and led to a table by the window inside a cozy, warm, and welcoming dining area with minimal traditional Thai decor. I decided on the Pad Thai () with fried tofu accompanied by Thai iced tea (). The food was incredibly flavorful and fresh, using the best ingredients, resulting in the perfect balance of spices. Every dish is thoughtfully executed and prepared to provide an authentic taste. The tofu was perfectly cooked. Portion size was just right. The staff was warm, welcoming, and very attentive, which made the whole dining experience even better. Since I had the entire place to myself, I had the honor to speak with the cook/owner, Narit. I had the yaki udon, which I was not super happy with. They advertise mushrooms come with it, which my dish didn't have. The beef was completely bland - no flavor and not enjoyable at all. The dish itself was just okay - not bad but nothing to write home about. It could've used more flavor- it was pretty bland. I likely would not order the udon again.

I hate to leave this kind of review, but unfortunately this place gave me the worst 1st impression…read more I ordered on Uber Eats 3 items: curry puffs, crispy salmon, and crab meat fried rice. I was only able to eat the curry puffs.. Someone from the restaurant called me when the Uber Eats driver arrived to inform me that they ran out of the crispy salmon. That wasn't reflected on the app when I ordered, but still understandable enough so fine. I was asked if I wanted to order a replacement instead, but considering how late at night it was getting I just asked for a refund on that dish and to bring me the rest of my order sooner rather than later. When I met the Uber Eats driver she handed me a small paper bag, I asked where the rest of the order was and she said that's all the restaurant gave her. There wasn't even a printed receipt in or on the bag to indicate what was ordered. I called the restaurant immediately to ask where the crab meat fried rice was, thinking maybe they also ran out of this dish, and I was told "ohh, it is available but someone at the restaurant 'forgot' to put that part of your order in the computer" so they never even made it.. what?! Someone already called me earlier looking directly at my Uber Eats order to tell me the crispy salmon was no longer available, so how does that same person just miss an entire other entree when there were only 3 items in the order. I've never had this issue with a restaurant "forgetting" an entire entree in a take out order because no body "put it in the computer", especially from a food delivery app. It's not like a little side either, the dish is like $16. The curry puffs - they were fine. The dipping sauce it came with was too sweet and syrupy in my opinion, rather than a refreshing/light vinegar dip that curry puffs usually come with. While the filling was tasty, I don't think it was worth the other issues of the overall order. Also to note - the puffs were packaged in a foil lined bag with the dipping sauce container right on top rather than a sturdier plastic or paper container. So 3 out of 4 puffs were smushed, 2 of them to the point where the filling was coming out. I was so disappointed because I truly was excited to try this place out. I can only hope other customers have a better experience eating here and that the restaurant greatly improves their take out order practices. But considering all the other great Thai restaurants in the area, I will be taking my business to those places that I know are more reliable. I also hope Uber Eats is able to help with my refund, I'm still waiting to hear back from them but I'm sure it's highly unusual that they have to refund 2 entree orders in 1 delivery.

The dish in question was a dish called Pad Mee Duck and I've had it prior many times, but in other restaurants. What I received was steaming hot, but gloppy in texture and overly sweet. The duck had been deep fried, then sliced. It was in a shell of some kind of breading, maybe panko but the oil in the deep fat fryer was burnt tasting. Perhaps it should be changed more often? The noodles instead of being stir fried and crispy were sodden and listless. There was a disconnect somewhere between recipe and execution. Both were lacking. The vegetables, typical Asian style were just that. Typical. Not very fresh. But the duck was inedible and this dish was far from inexpensive. Don't order this preparation. It really needs work.
