Just ok Thai food, overpriced for the value. My wife and I visited That's Thai Food for a dinner in Feb 2025. Thai cuisine is one of our favorites and we cook some dishes ourselves, so we have certain expectations. The food was just ok with basic presentation (see pics). Fish cakes - ok, but a bit chewy. The portion was double the standard size - 8 pieces! Need to serve more sauce for so many fish cakes. Make the portion smaller and cheaper or offer two sizes. Tom Kha soup - the menu lists a choice of 3 proteins and a few for extra charge. We were not asked what protein we wanted and we forgot to tell assuming a standard chicken. The soup came with shrimp! That would be extra $5 or $10 on top of $18 for just a soup. The problem wasn't a price though but that I don't eat seafood. The soup got replaced for the one with chicken. It tasted pretty good but different from the usual Tom Kha. Something was off. Maybe the lack of fish sauce as listed on the menu. Even the color wasn't white. The soup lacked fresh basil on top, was overloaded with chicken, and was served warm rather than hot, so it became cold soon. It wasn't spicy at all and there was no chili to add. The portion was also a double and we could hardly finish it. Just offer 2 sizes like most of other places so. Red Curry with Chicken - we got the same dish, but one with pineapple and the other with bamboo shoots. Not sure why it can't be a single dish with both. I asked to add bamboo shoots to my curry with pineapple and make it level 3 hot. Eggplant wasn't available even for extra charge. Both curries came overloaded with chicken and thin bamboo shoots reducing the amount of curry sauce itself. They had no fresh basil and both were level 2 hot at most. The taste was ok, but not as colorful as it's supposed to be. Maybe due to lack of fish sauce. The service was almost non-existent. The restaurant was empty and the only person serving was always in the kitchen. We couldn't ask for an extra chili, napkin, drink or anything. Nobody was there. I managed with lack of spiciness for the soup, but for curry I took it into my own hands, walked to the counter, found a serving stand and got us a small chili jar. Self-service :) Ridiculous:) Unfortunately, we can't recommend this restaurant. With average food taste and almost no service the prices are quite high. I would rate the place 3-3.5 stars, but giving it a 4, so the owners have a better chance to improve.

Amazing food and service. The staff is so sweet and the vibes are chill. Super nice inside. Eat here for sure!!!

Went here with my son today for an early dinner. We definitely ebjoyed this place so much. Authentic music and the atmosphere felt open and inviting. We got the crispy platter. We enjoyed every bite. My son loved the coconut shrimp, as did I. The rolls were my favorite. The chicken was so crunchy and the meat melted off the bone. Our server explained to dip our rofu in the sauce and then in the peanuts, that was very enjoyable. My son got the red curry. He rolled his eyes back with every bite hahaha he loved it! My drunken noodle was really amazing too. I definitely want to go back and try more appetizers. Everything tasted fresh! I definitely recommend!

Visited after church with hubs and had a great time. The place is Betty clean and conspicuously quiet, however the lunch did not disappoint. We had pinapple cashew fried rice with tofu spring rolls and forbidden black mango sticky rice. The food was tasty and seemed clean (absent of chemicals) which is always appreciated! We will gladly return as the service was also as great as the food!

We started with the spring rolls and the coconut shrimp. Both were very over fried and served with the same sauce. Spring rolls had very little flavor, definitely not homemade. We both ordered mains with chicken. The chicken in both dishes were a bit rubbery and chewy. The rice dish needed more veg and the Pad Thai had too much thick sauce and needed more peanuts and veg. I would give the entrees 3 out of 5. The appetizers were just terrible.

Food was spiced well and had good flavor. Not too spicy. A tad sweet for me but totally acceptable range. The portions were generous compared to other Thai places. I had basil fried rice. Drunken noodles and pad see ew. Service was very good a well. The place is nice and clean and I would recommend this place. Price was reasonable but not cheap.

Really good Thai food. Nobody else has larb! Super clean. I thought it had just opened because it was so clean. A little pricey but absolutely delicious. Lots of parking. Chill atmosphere. A new go to for sure.

I mention this detail because a lot of restaurants are strict about not seating you until the entire party arrives (I appreciate Nakorn for not sweating the small stuff). It was my second time and their first time (per my suggestion). We're all foodies so I was confident they'd enjoy! And I was right :) For starters, we shared a curry puff appetizer (3 pieces). Small size, BIG flavor!! Especially paired with the pickled sauce. Chef's kiss! For our main dishes - I had the Chicken Pad See Ew and they tried the Mixed Seafood Pad See Ew (shrimp, scallops, and mussels). Everything was delicious!!! Had it not been for the intriguing conversation around the table, we easily would not have any leftovers to take home. It is a BYOB establishment, so we brough Sake and enjoyed it in the wine glasses provided by Nakorn. I love downtown Summit and all of its foodie glory, but if you've ever been, you know what parking is like. Free after 6pm Monday - Saturday and free all day Sunday. There's a small lot directly across the street from Nakorn, which is convenient. Be intentional though, the parking spaces go fast.

This is a nice quiet spot, nice atmosphere, great service from the waitress. I started off with the chicken dumplings, probably the lowest rating food I had. I'll give it about a three and a half, that's because it was a little too wet. The chicken was solely in the middle, so there's a lot of dumpling, not a lot of chicken, i did enjoy the peanut sauce. Then I had some sambal sauce, vegetables, chicken and white rice on the side. Now that was really, really good. Nice and spicy, a great mix of vegetables, very fresh, very filling, super surprised by that. This establishment honestly deserves to be a lot more crowded than it actually was. It was very empty in there, I was the only table in there. But overall, just great service. In addition to that, I was also able to spin a wheel for spending over 60 bucks and got myself a free drink the next time. Highly recommended, pop out if you're in the area. Great overall. .5

I remember this foodie town from 25 years ago, when its pizza, kosher and diner offerings were top notch. It seems to have upgraded its food scene several notches since my last visit so many years ago. Pure nostalgia for me which made for a very flavorful evening. TOP TIP: Street parking in this part of town is a hassle and the local cops keep a sharp eye for illegally parked cars and inebriated drivers. So park further away from the center of town where you are more likely to snag a legal spot on a busy night.

The Chicken Sisig, Palabok, pork BBQ and sizzling Biko with ice cream are a must-try from the food menu. The appetizers, like the piping hot vegetable lumpia and their humongous portion of Halo-halo as dessert are highly recommended by me and other reviewers. When we dined at this place, the whole staff gave me a feeling as if I was eating at an aunt's house, with the owner and staff providing very welcoming, family-style care. I have been living in NY for more than 30 years, have already eaten in so many low and high-end Filipino restaurants, in terms of food quality and taste, I may say this by far is the best that I have experienced. If given the chance to be in New Jersey again, I will definitely, 100% be back to this place for their delicious and flavorful food. Some of my companions point out that the seating area is relatively small, which can lead to limited availability during peak times, and a few note the interior decor is fairly plain but it did not matter to me because the food that I ordered/tried were great and amazing (properly spiced, cooked very well and soooooooo delicious!! ). This is sort of "part 2" to my review of my July 4th movie going experience. As we left the theater…read morein Manville on that brutally hot day, my old friend abruptly brought up the fact that he still owed me a meal for driving him up to Paramus a few months ago so he could buy a used car. At the time, he told me he'd buy me dinner for helping him out. I told him he didn't need to buy me dinner. If I can help someone...friend, family member or acquaintance...I'll do it out of the goodness of my heart, not because I'm expecting a recompense. He insisted he was buying me dinner. Being that it was July 4th, and I doubted any restaurant would be open, I was suspicious that his offer was a conman's grift to get out of buying me food. Then again, he had brought it up. I felt guilty for doubting his sincerity. We drove to restaurants in Gillette and Basking Ridge. All closed. We went to Gabriel's Fountain in Martinsville, where we had previously eaten. We saw people and assumed it was open. As it turned out, they were only serving ice cream, not regular food. I love ice cream, but given I had eaten a tub of popcorn, a box of cookie dough candy, and a Coke just an hour or so previously, I wasn't really in the mood for ice cream. Truth be told, I wasn't in the mood for food period. But I thought I could down a bowl of soup somewhere and relieve my friend of this burden of "payback." So we soldiered on. Miraculously, a diner was open in New Providence. My friend didn't want diner food. In Murray Hill, we found an open Chinese restaurant that looked relatively cheap. My friend didn't feel like Chinese food. He checked his phone and said there were 3 restaurants in Summit that were open for business, and they had good reviews. At that point, I just wanted to go home to my air-conditioned domicile and crash, but...we continued on. In Summit, 2 of the restaurants he had read about on his phone were closed. The 1 that was actually open had a line in front of it a half mile long. I said, "I'm not standing on line in this heat for anything. Let's just go..." "Look, try the main street! There has to be something open!" On Summit's Springfield Ave., we parked on the street (no parking meter tolls on this holiday). Some people were out and about on the street, and some places actually did look like they might be open. In spite of his earlier expressed antipathy towards the partaking of Chinese food on this torturous (weather-wise) evening, my friend steered us through the open doors of Blossom Asian Bistro. The restaurant is spacious and modernistically furnished. We were seated and after 1 look at the menu, my friend said, "I can't pay for you tonight-- not at these prices!" I knew it would be pointless to remind him of the cheap prices at the Murray Hill Chinese place he had rejected, so I didn't. And then, I don't know what weird impulse took hold of me--- I wasn't really hungry, I didn't have a lot of money on me, and eating a massive amount of food like I was still 20 years old can set my increasingly precarious digestion absolutely and embarrassingly haywire, but I decided to order a meal in addition to the soup. Call it the "Imp of the Perverse," or maybe I'm just a gluttonous food addict. I thought, "I can fast tomorrow." Service was friendly, prompt. We both ordered the Chicken Wonton Soup, and I was pleasantly surprised. The broth was tasty, not salty, and the wontons, light and delicate...not at all like the doughy, heavy ones that I'm accustomed to (which I still love in spite of their doughy heaviness), were delicious. I ordered the cheapest item on the menu (can't remember what my friend ordered, but he liked it, whatever it was). For me, it was Sesame Chicken, described on the menu as "white meat chicken fried with lotus flour in sweet tangy sesame sauce." I'm not sure what "lotus flour" is, but the dish was served with brown rice, and I enjoyed every mouthful. The food was fresh, prepared with real care, and was eminently enjoyable. The prices were expensive, but then this is Summit. I think it comes with the territory. And the food was very good. Sometimes (oftentimes) you do pay for what you get. If I have a negative to offer, it's that the temperature inside bordered on being uncomfortable. The Reading Theater in Manville had felt like an icebox, but at Blossom, I was 1 step away from breaking into an unsightly sweat. I didn't, but I thought at these prices, the place should be cooler on such a brutally hot day than it was. Given my previous consumption of popcorn and candy, I wasn't in the mood for dessert (or maybe it was my stomach indicating to me, "I've been merciful so far today, but you order dessert now on top of everything else you've eaten, and I really AM gonna embarrass you! Big time!"). We paid and left. I promised my rebellious stomach I would fast the next day. And did. Definitely recommended. When I'm flush, I'd like to come back and try 1 of the more expensive dishes. With a dessert.
