Contactless takeout is available for those of us living in the darkest timeline of 2020. I have had takeout from here a few times since they opened (before the dark times(™)). The curry, noodle, and rice dishes are consistent and a great value. I ding one star because they are also consistently under-spiced. No matter how emphatic I am that I want "hot, like Thai hot" it's much more of a mild if anything. Service is very friendly and if we're ever allowed to eat inside restaurants again, it's well maintained fancy-casual decor is good for any night of the week. read more

It's great to have Thai food in Bernardsville! Thai Villa recently opened in the space formerly occupied for years by Asian Delight. The entire mall is being remodeled so expect some construction work around the outside facade, but all of the stores are open. Thai Villa is owned by the same family that owns the Thai restaurant in Lyons Mall in Basking Ridge, NJ. The menus are predictably similar, which is not a bad thing. That is a very good restaurant. I took out dinner from Thai Villa last night, and the food was excellent. We had an order of Pad Thai with shrimp, an order of Pad Kee Mao (aka"drunken noodles") and a spring roll appetizer. The spring rolls were perfect - light and crispy with great flavor and served with a tangy dipping sauce. They were not greasy at all, a sign of cooking with oil at the correct temperature! The Pad Thai had the right mixture of peanuts, sprouts, rice noodles, and shrimp. It was very tasty, and the shrimp were fresh and cooked properly. Their version has no real spice heat to it, which is fine for me. It was a very generous portion - likely enough for two adults or three kids. The Pad kee mao is a spicy dish, with wide noodles, peppers, shrimp, onions, mushrooms, and basil in a chili sauce. It is a heavier dish than the Pad Thai and other lighter Thai noodle dishes, but very tasty. Their version is excellent, and identical to their sister restaurant's take on it. If you are used to some of the more expensive Thai places around here like Origin Thai, this restaurant is a much better value. My meal with the two entrees and an appetizer was around $38 - considerably less than what I usually spend at similar restaurants. Origin, to be fair, has some more exotic choices on their menu showing a French influence, and their restaurants are a bit more ornate than Thai Villa, so it's not entirely an apples to apples comparison. Still, for great Thai food for a very fair price, it's hard to beat Thai Villa in Bernardsville. I look forward to trying more of their dishes. read more

We ordered through Grubhub and were told when to pick it up. I arrived at the indicated time and the food was not ready. The chef was the only person there so he was doing everything. Not a seamless experience, but fine. The food was all very good as well. Quantities were large so we had some for lunch later in the week. read more

This place is spot on if you are looking for reasonably priced Thai food. I got the Chicken Pad Thai as usual and it's so good. I also get 4 of their spring rolls which are absolutely delicious. This is prob my 10th visit and they never disappoint. The same guy is always here. Not sure if he is the owner or not but he is always so super nice and hustles to get you your food so quickly. It just makes me want to continue supporting a local place like this because he is working so hard for every customer. Dine in or take out this place is A+ all the way. Came off the highway into the town for a quick lunch. And I was so far from dissapointed, I was amazed. Firstly the place smells amazing, and the food was just as incredible. I ordered the Yum Nurr on a total whim not knowing what I was going to get. The vegetables were so crunchy and delicious with the charcoal beef. Someone else ordered the beef lomein and it wasn't greasy at all! The food is so nice and the flavors are all very balanced. YES YES YES!!!! Bernardsville finally has a Thai place! Just tried their Pad Thai which was incredibly tasty. Pick up was fast (10 minutes) Price is extremely low for the area ($8.95 lunch specials) which is great because you got places like Asian Delight across the street which use to occupy the space where Thai Villa is now ripping people off for as long as I can remember. Bernardsville is due for makeover and this is the start of it!! Would love it if they had some Thai beers available but liquor licenses here are ridiculously expensive and there's only so many available so I hope they're BYOB (liquor store next door). I'm an executive assistant that ordered catering for an employee lunch from here and it was nothing short of amazing. The food and service are always both, great and consistent. The chicken satae is my #1 favorite - this place has the absolute best sauce for it. I've had many dishes from here and have to say all were better than I've ever had for Thai food in my life. I ordered lunch from here ahead of catering for the first time but when I expressed to Jeff there that I wanted to cater, he was very helpful and exceeded my expectations for sure - by even throwing in some extra things for us. Reasonable prices and quality Thai food. I recently moved to Bernardsville, one of the only negatives is the lack of reasonable and Interesting food options. I decided to give Thai Villa (next to Starbucks) a try with my family of 4. We ordered spring rolls and 2 orders of steamed dumplings for my kids because they didn't think they would like Thai food. My wife ordered Tom Kha Gai soup and Pad Thai. I ordered the green curry and coconut rice. Everything came out hot and delicious. I just returned from two recent trips to Bangkok and while the spice level was adjusted for an America palate the flavors were authentic. I asked for my curry to be 4/5 spice and they adjusted mine to be perfect. My kids agreed to try both our dishes and ended up finishing my curry and coconut rice and asking my wife if she could make it at home. Owner was very friendly and seemed very focused on quality and cleanliness in his kitchen. This place is a great find and I encourage everyone to give it a try. read more
