Happened upon this establishment by happenstance a brief click of good button on Waze. It was a last minute bite before a long flight from Newark airport. Very friendly and very authentic. Taste of Thai was a "meet in the middle" place with a friend so I felt lucky to see great reviews. We shared a chicken pad Thai and tofu pad king. The dishes were solid but much spicier than we had asked for. The pad Thai had a stronger fish sauce flavoring than what I'm used to. It's sometimes the little things for me and the white rice wasn't great, little dry (i know, I know too picky) In all though the food was fresh with fast friendly service. read more

Lovely people own this spot, in a strip mall that also houses a Chinese restaurant, pizza and Dunkin. They are kind, helpful and gracious. The food is terrific and the prices are very reasonable. They will adjust the spice level to you palate, and we've never had an issue. Good amount of seating, but much of their business is take out. read more

One of the best Thai food in the area. We also like Thai kitchen in bridgewater but this place is right next to my work. They really tried their best to accompany their customers. I ordered food for my wife's birthday and wanted to pick it up after work around 4:40, that's before they open for dinner. They just told me no problem. I forgot to take picture of the food, we had pad hai nam, gang ped yang, pad woon sen, Tom yum soup, spring rolls and they were all delicious even we waited 2 hours before we ate them. read more

It is hard to expect much from a strip mall Thai restaurant on Fourth of July weekend that is only doing takeout and not accepting credit cards, but wanting some Thai comfort food we accepted the challenge. Small and intimate store front resturant. Very tranquil vibe. I was personally excited to hear them playing main stream music when i walked in (hill song, elevation worship, etc.) I ordered the special Salmon lunch special. It came out piping hot and just the right portion size to keep from making me sluggish after lunch. The lady who I believe may be the owen was very polite and pleasant. We stopped in for the first time. They seem very busy with takeout food. The owner was exceptionally nice. I ordered a curry dish which was very good and the coconut pudding was great along with the Thai iced tea. My husband had the drunken noodles which he said was good. I would definitely stop back when I'm in the area. read more

Awesome lunch specials! I usually order the pad see ew or pad thai here which are lighter on the flavor but still good. I have also enjoyed the mango and coconut sticky rice. They have a pretty strict credit card policy so I recommend bringing cash if planning to order only one entree. They also cater food and deliver to local businesses. The staff is extremely welcoming and they always have a smile on their faces. Definitely recommend!! read more

I am pleasantly surprise by this Thai restaurant. We pass by many time, but didn't get a chance to go in. Their food is very delicious!!! Portion is generous and the service is also very good... i really have nothing to complain about. But if i were to make a little suggestion -- I would change the picture of food that was posted on the window. If i were to just simply look at those picture, i might not want to go in. I think b/c the color of the picture are faded and just didn't look that good. I would suggestion you change up the picture or even skip the picture. I think your restaurant is good and you don't need the picture to show people what your food look like... :) read more

i thought basking ridge was devoid of any good food--i've tried so many places and everything has been fine & very few that i think are worth the price that they cost! this place is AMAZING!!!!!!! it feels like a hidden gem, since the inside is soooooo beautiful and it's in a little strip mall! the staff was sooooo friendly and so kind and nice!! i was soo excited, everything smelled amazing i got the pan fried dumplings, tom yum koong (had about 3 shrimp cooked well and good price) and the gang kiew wan and my heart grew 5 times its size :) also!! theyre so fast :) read more

Me and my friends came to this place for lunch after after a weekend exercise. We came here since we were craving Thai food and this is the closest place we found. The food is good, but pricey. We've spent $95 for 3 small portion dishes and 2 appetizers. I would still recommend this place because of the food but pnly if you have the money to spend. read more

Reliable Thai option, and especially good for the local area. I've had several rice and noodle dishes, but haven't been in for any of their larger main courses. Portion sizes are good, heat level is accurate, and flavors are on point. They haven't messed up my order yet, but make sure to order by number so that there isn't any miscommunication. read more

Delicious new Thai restaurant which turns out to be owned by the same group that also owns Thai Kitchen in Bridgewater and Chester. Small, quaint, friendly service and delicious food. I ordered the crispy duck and it was honestly some of the best duck I've ordered in any Thai restaurant. Crispy, tender and the amount of duck served was very generously portioned making the dish easily sharable. My wife ordered shrimp with glass noodles and we split a shrimp dumpling, both also delicious. Prices are very reasonable, especially compared to Thai Origin but the food is much better here. 5 minutes from the house and they do take-out as we'll. We'll be back for sure. FYI: BYOB read more

My wife and I had large lunches but the aroma of the Thai restaurant at the Lyons Mall was too much for us. So, much like Bugs Bunny floating after a carrot, we floated in the door of this small strip mall eatery. Excellent decision. We started off with some Curry Puffs, an expected app at a Thai joint. Delicious. Not greasy with a decent dipping sauce. We've had other versions at nearby places which were laden with grease and made us feel unwell. For entrees, spicy duck in a curry sauce and green curry with tofu. Both were delicious. A little skimpy on the proteins but ok, we both inhaled our dinners and were very satisfied. Cramped seating. We were treated to conversation from the next table about liver enzymes, medical emergencies and other unpleasantries that lasted throughout our meal. If cramped, too close seating makes you uncomfortable, take out. A word on the owner. She is very personable, eager to please, and apparently, knows her returning customers well. A pleasure. I like this place. Solid and decent Thai food right in the friendly confines of Lyons Mall. I find the benchmark of a good Thai place is if their Thom Ka Gai soup is good, and this place passes the test! Staff is a lil rough-hewn in the english department, but I try to meet them halfway. To quote Elton John from his basically-forgotten 1981 album 'The Fox'- "I'm breakin down the barriers and lovin what I find!" Edit: I guess we actually have no idea what Elton's thoughts are or how he conveys feelings through song. Because...those words, and all of Elton's words on the songs we love are written by Bernie Taupin! AND to delve deeper, Bernie didn't even write that particular song, for reasons unknown. Went there last Tuesday (04/24/2018) with my colleagues. Had to wait for 15/20 mins, because my manager forgot to make reservation. But that wait was definitely worth it. Food quality - Awesome! I didn't expect that much. I am not so familiar with Thai cuisines, so I kept my expectations low. I ordered Thai Red Curry with Shrimp, Thai Iced tea, and Fried Ice-cream. Red curry was delicious, not oily, rice portion was reasonable. Fried ice-cream was really good. Price - reasonable; won't break your bank. Service - Amazing. Two waiters were very welcoming and friendly. they explained the menu to us, before they took the order. One lady asked us about our office location and line of work (Don't usually get those type of questions). Had fun with another waiter, who commented on our conversation about another Thai restaurant in the area. Cool people! Environment - Decoration pretty good. Restroom was clean. Only negative thing is, restaurant is pretty small. But considering the fact that, it's in Bernards, what to expect! In summary - I will definitely go back there soon, to try other curries. We tried the curry puffs, the chicken satay, tom kha soup, pineapple fried rice, noodles and three different entrees (I shouldn't order Thai food whilst hungry). We really enjoyed every bite. Fresh, well cooked and tasty all around. My only gripe is that there isn't an option for spice level, or maybe they didn't notice my comments on the order. It all worked out, but I prefer to request spice level modifications, especially for the kids. Will definitely order from here again.

The service was excellent I did take out but the owner offer me a drink while I waited for my food very kind. The place is lovely a very nice decor. I will make a reservation next time. The place is on the smaller side. Also seems to do a good takeout business. It's warm and inviting with deep reds and a coffered ceiling. There is a back wall with a small water feature. Me and my husband split the mango salad and the noodle curry. Delicious. The mango salad comes with a sticky rice that is so good, it's rich in flavor and balances out the tangyness and acidity of the salad. The 3 fried shrimp on top had a great flavor too and nice crunch. The curry had a good level of spice but was balanced out by the coconut milk. I loved the crunchy noodles on top and it was packed with veggies like broccoli and carrots. I kept drinking the broth because it was so good! Food for the soul! Dishes around $20 reasonably priced! Will definitely come back.
