We used Biltright to clean our 12-year old artificial putting green. The service is called a "tune-up". A very professional young man named Brett came to our house and arrived during the designated 2-hour time frame. The service was fast and he thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. It was also reasonably priced. I plan to get the service every year to extend the life of our putting green. The putting green surface, as well as the fringe, look like new. Also Kimberly in the office was very easy to work with in getting everything set up. She even called after the service was completed to get my satisfaction before charging my credit card. UPDATE... My original post was in June. Today, we had them return and do our back yard. It turned out just as amazing as the front yard. Ryan came out again to go over the details and help create the plan. Peter, Miguel, and Tomas did the installation. We could not be any happier!! Another well deserved 5 stars. They arrived around 08:00 this morning and by 2:30 project complete. I must say, we are VERY happy!! Another awesome experience with this company! I first used them about 7 years ago when they were call AGL and had a great experience then. I recently moved into a HOA community and wanted to remove old grass and replace with artificial turf. I called the Biltright Construction company (new name from AGL) and explained I needed a survey done and samples to gain HOA approval. Justin came out to provide samples, suggestions, quote and a very fair price. I explained I needed to gain HOA approval first before signing a contract. Justin's response was perfect, no pressure.... "just let us know and we'll get you taken care when you have your approvals" It took about a month to get my approval. As soon as I got it, I was put in contact with Jake to help coordinate my project. We set a date and he even gave me his personal cell number if I had and questions. Jake followed up the day before the install and said "you're all set, the installers will be there between 7-9am" The installers arrived at 7:30am and were awesome. Peter (field foreman) had a great personality and an extremely impressive work ethic. Both he and his helper were very polite, professional and did a great job. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Biltright. If the opportunity ever presents itself again, I would definitely use them again and for sure endorse these guys! Never having artificial grass nor knowing anyone that did, we must have driven by twenty homes at least and looked at the various lawn installations as well as going to business' that sold the artificial turf. We certainly wanted artificial grass that actually looked like real grass not thin and flat looking like some we had seen. The grass sample we chose was an excellent quality with a 98 oz weight, with a 2' height and wide blade with a superior backing. We also installed a gopher protection wire mesh, just in case of gophers. (something to think about) Biltright was very fair with the price and everything thing went smoothly. Materials delivered on time, the installers were very friendly, careful with the remaining yard, did an excellent job with the installation, answered all our questions about the installation and care of the turf. The Installer Crew Manager Mike was constantly following the installation step by step. The work, including the invisible seams that they did couldn't have been better. Their Project Manager Kimberly was right on top of keeping us informed as the job went along and provided excellent customer service. Unfortunately I have to leave a bad review for this company. I was referred to them as a installer by AGL turf in Woodland Hills. Paul came out and did the measurements all the standard things told me it was a straight forward job and would be done in one day. The day of the installation I was at work but my wife was home for any questions or problems that came up. The crew finished the job and left. She was not advised of any issues or problems. (Pictures below) When I got home the following day I immediately noticed the grade of the grass was sloping towards the house and even worse sloping into the crawl space. I don't think there is a single contractor out there that would agree with the slope/angle that was done. I contacted Biltright and told them I was not ok with the job. A few days later I was contacted by Jason Cox. Over the phone he told me he was looking at the pictures and could see the slope issue I was talking about. Jason blamed the issue on my swimming pool and said there should be more drains for the pool to be up to code. (The city inspector had signed off on the pool a week prior and the drainage was fine). I called Jason back the following week after confirming the pool information. During the second phone call Jason said more drainage had to be added and he could quote me for the additional work. I asked him why drainage had never been brought up or addressed during the initial quote or during the install. He said he didn't know. I asked him to come out to look at the project in person because I wanted him to see it so we could discuss how to fix it. Jason said he would only come out to quote me for additional drains and labor. I told him I would not agree to more work until the job was fixed properly and I contacted my credit card company to put a hold on the payment. Another week later I called Jason again to try and resolve the issue. Jason basically told me "You signed the contract so it's on you." I never signed a contract but apparently the day of the install my wife signed all the paperwork. To be 100% transparent there is a small section that says "decline drainage" that my wife initialed along with all the other paperwork. However she said nothing was explained or brought up about drains, it was more of can you initial and sign all this so we can get started. My biggest issue is with Jason and his poor customer service. It went from blaming it on the pool builders, to we need to add more drains at an additional cost, to you signed the contract so it's your problem. So I'm stuck with a 2inch drop on one side and a 3inch drop on the other all funneling straight into the crawl space of my house. Unacceptable UPDATE* I was contacted by Kyle who sent out another team of guys to fix the issue. Once they were there in person they could clearly see the issue and agreed with me that it had been sloped improperly. At this point the only fix was to add additional drainage and fix the slope angles. I did have to pay for the additional parts/labor but I didn't really have any other options at that point. The guys who came out were great and did an awesome job. I appreciate Kyle for taking care of the issue and actually solving the problem. At the end of the day I am happy with the end result. They do good quality work, It just depends on who you get for the initial project design and that he knows/cares about what he's doing. read more

I know I don't have gophers so they say it's from the rain. I've asked them to come out and fix it and after spending 16,000 on it they want another 3500 from me. So there warranty is worthless. There hasn't been enough rain in San Diego to do what they are saying to my artificial turf. read more

Everything about this company was great. From the moment I walked into their show room they were responsive through it all. I do not typically look for the cheapest quote but am more focused on the quality of the project and the customer service. They called me immediately to setup an appointment to take measurements and draw up their proposal. They showed up on time. The other companies I reached out to took way to long or never called. The installation took two days and all of my family and friends are loving the look and quality of the product. I had one tiny issue which was a section of my exterior lighting got disconnected during the process. When I noticed it I called them up and they quickly sent out their foreman to fix it the next day. Again super responsive! All of the people I interacted with except the project manager were great from a people perspective. The job was done beautifully and ahead of schedule and in triple digit heat this summer. My biggest knock on the company is that they did not warn me of areas where my turf might burn ahead if installation. I'm not the pro, they are so would have thought they'd do that so I could get solar screens installed. Instead my turf burned and I was told after spending close to $10,000 it would cost me at least another $250 to have the burn repaired assuming I had scrap, which the install team hadn't left. I didn't feel that was fair, and eventually BiltRight made the repair at no cost to me, other than the cost I incurred for the solar screens. The quality is great, the workmanship on install is great, however some sloppiness on how they left the irrigation system, which they also came back and resolved. My suggestion, make sure you cover all windows that create glare with solar screens before you proceed. read more

Any materials you can buy yourself do it, got charged $6000 for digging that was never done because it was a slope with no trimming so they didn't even dig 2in. In depth and for $5 a sq ft of California gold for our backyard. I recently did the front yard myself and ordered from the same company they got the rock from which is tri state materials and only had to pay about $600 for delivery and 600 sq fr of California gold. read more

Here's an update. After months of issues, promises, noncommunication, I post a Yelp review. Then...Kyle, the President, came out, offered us one possible idea for the concrete. The solution was just not appropriate for our situation. So we're told them we wanted to talk to some others about solutions. They promised to fix and scheduled twice to come out but did nothing. We had someone else come out to fix it. They only installed one cable for the entire yard, even though we asked for two. We still don't have the second valve that should have been installed per our original 1/8" scale designs which is causing significant problems that they are blaming us for "overwatering". We requested the adjusted invoice two months ago. Instead, they decided to notify us about exercising a lien on our house, not fix the issues. They did have the stucco repaired by someone else. We had the concrete taken care of elsewhere. I keep you posted. These statements are well documented facts. We will be contacting the BBB and CSLB with complaints! read more
