Poor Workmanship and Zero Accountability -- Avoid This Company I am extremely dissatisfied with the artificial turf installation performed by this team. While one side of my yard appears to be holding up (only because I personally stepped in during the process to ensure they used enough material), the other side is a complete disaster. Within a very short window, weeds are growing out across the entire perimeter of one side. This is a clear sign that they cut corners on the sub-base preparation and failed to properly install a weed barrier or secure the edging. When you pay for professional turf, you are paying for a system that prevents this exact issue. To make matters worse, their customer service is non-existent. After calling multiple times to get this fixed, I finally reached Sam, who was completely dismissive. Instead of addressing the clear physical evidence of a poor install, Sam told me he "couldn't do anything about it" because he "trusts" the installer, Rahul. Personal trust between employees does not override a visible failure in workmanship. I pointed out my concerns during the install, and they were ignored. Now, I am left with a premium-priced product that looks like a DIY project gone wrong. The worst customer service ever. The install was not done to what there specifications state, including going down 3 inches and spraying for weeds before installing the base and turf. The consultant did not measure correctly so the install was delayed. Two weeks after the install the weeds came up thru the turf and it took almost 7 months for them to actually come and see the issues and then to tear out the old and reinstall new after it was sprayed with chemicals that are not allowed for residential use. Oh and there was no compensation for having to take another 3 days for them to install. read more

As I said in my original review, I contacted Biltrite Turf for help because they were the subcontractor that was supposed to provide the turf that was included in our contract with the pool company we hired. I needed Biltrite's help because the pool company hadn't listed a price for the turf in our proposal, there wasn't a progress payment associated with it in the contract (it was just an unknown part of the total project price), and the pool company refused to provide me with an itemized accounting for the costs associated with our project. When things went bad with the pool company, and I filed a complaint with the CSLB, I contacted Biltrite to help me with an estimate, which I needed for my CSLB complaint (because the burden of proof for establishing financial damages was on me) and I also tried to see if I could hire them directly to just get it done. Initially, the employees were happy to help, but the owner of Biltrite Turf squashed it and they all ghosted me. After I posted my review, the owner responded to my review saying "Hey Timothy we had decided to not get involved in the situation with your pool contractor. This is unfortunate you are putting bad information out regarding our position in not getting involved. Hopefully this review can be removed as a result as we have not done any wrong by you or the pool contractor you hired. We politely wanted to stay out of the situation between you and the other contractor." However, when the CSLB finally completed their investigation of my case/complaint against the pool contractor and referred us to their arbitration program, Biltrite's owner was happy to provide the pool company with a low-ball estimate for what they say they would have charged the pool company to install the contracted turf back in 2023. I don't think that providing the pool company with estimates after refusing to provide me with an estimate is "politely staying out of it" and I don't think offering to testify as an expert witness for the pool company during our arbitration hearing is "politely staying out of it" either. I think that the owner's actions proved my point and the reason I gave Biltrite a 1-start review in the first place. That said, after I received an award letter from the arbitration with the pool company, I called Biltrite to extend an olive branch. I offered to remove the 1-star review and give them a chance to earn a 5-star review by being the company that saved the day and helped us finish our project, now that the dispute with the pool company has been resolved. The person that I spoke with thought it sounded like a win-win situation and said he'd speak with the owner and offer to handle the project. Unfortunately, the owner refused my olive branch; He will not honor the estimate that they provided to the pool company. In fact, he won't even allow his employees (at AGL) to sell me the turf to have someone else install it. I'm still giving Biltrite Turf a 1-star review for their lack of customer service and for valuing their shady business partners over their end customers. It's a shame, because I think they make a good product and they may have the best turf warranty available. Had Biltrite been willing to take care of us, I would have been happy to give them a 5-star review and recommend them to others. read more

i hired Biltright to do our front yard in turf. i called Easy Turf first and they came out and measured and gave us a cost for install etc. The price was good compared to other companies we talked to. i also have to mention that the Easy Turf product is good stuff. they did our back yard 15 years ago and it still looks as good as the day it was installed. After a few weeks we get a call that they got the material and were ready to do the install. when the date came for install, no one showed, someone might have called the night before but we were not home and had no advanced notice. then once we talked again we set a new date, that date came and no install. i was told supply issues. ok so a new date was set with an upgrade in material at no charge. great. That date came and no install. then i was told the upgraded stuff was defective, So i would get a discount and it was agreed on that i would get the original material i ordered. fine. a date was set and i was ok with that. that date came and no installers showed up, for the 4th time. then i was told the following Monday for sure. that Monday came and no show, again. i was not pleased with that because each time they were scheduled to show up i took a vacation day from work to be there to get things going and make sure all was ok and no issues. so after all that, the following Tuesday they show up. ok great, install is started. it took them 3 days to finish it and i have to say, they did a great job. it looks amazing, we love it. the install guys were nice and did a clean job. very good !!! So after all that i still gave them 4 stars. they were always nice about what was going on. Sam, Paul and the installers, all nice and got the job done real good. i have not received my final bill yet to see if i got any discount that i was promised. but ill report back if that does not end well. but over all great company with a great product. i would use them again. read more

We decided to get an estimate on artificial turf for our front yard. We have had a desert landscape since we built the house in 2007. We're from the Midwest and I miss the lush green lawn we had in Illinois. We called another company and they came out gave us a quote something didn't seem right. Ours was a very complicated/technical challenge - Pie shaped lot, lots of elevation change, sections of the grass extending to a rough, boulder wall. Even more challenging, the grass would be views from different directions, raising orientation issues. We wanted to challenge people to question if it was real...or not. Not only did the Bitright crew do a phenomenal installation (after a lot of consulting about which material, layout and more), but even after 18 months, it still looks like the day it was installed! (Even in high traffic areas we were concerned would look "stomped down"). We loved it so much, we just had them install matching turf in the front of our home just before our Halloween block party. We got a quote from this company and their Sales guy was very professional. The quote was not the lowest but their quality of artificial grass seemed really nice and the reviews on yelp were not bad so we decided to go with them. They started the project on Sep. 9, 2020 and were told it should take 3-5 days. The first day started off slow due to the lack of a bob cat to aid in removing the old grass and debris. The next day even slower, at around 9am I looked out back and saw them all just sitting out at our Palapa bar and talking. I did learn that the cement they needed was not delivered on time and they had to just wait till it got there to work. It didn't get delivered till after well into the afternoon. Needless to say we were on our 5th day and they stayed till way after 7pm to try and finish the grass install. They finished the grass but none of the cleanup. There was gravel and dirt all over our backyard, in our tree planters, side yard, and front driveway. They also punctured two sprinkler pipes with the 6 inch spikes used to keep the edges of the grass down. They could not guarantee when they would be able to come back and finish the clean up. My husband and I cleaned the back yard and side yard because we could not stand it. But there was just WAY too much gravel and dirt on the front driveway to even try, it was also blocking my car in the garage and I was not able to drive till it was cleared. Sat. Oct 9th around 7:30pm 2 guys showed up and fixed one of the busted sprinkle pipes and removed half the gravel from the driveway which would let me get my car out of the driveway, finally. Oct. 12th, It is more than a week later and several calls and texts and we are told they have no idea when they will be able to come and fix the other busted pipe in the backyard or remove the remaining gravel, dirt, and grass scraps out on our front driveway. *** The crew working at the house were all very polite and tried their best! Our sales guys Julio very professional. The grass does look great too! This was just a very badly managed project. *** We are also going to have to redo the bottom of our front hill with red bark once they are gone because they ran the gravel and dirt into the bottom section of our hill on the bark and ice plant. *** We now also have big chucks and scrapes in our cement driveway where the gravel was and the bobcats were working. read more

A few hiccups were resolved, don't need to go into detail.
