We visit Billy's Bar and Grille at Schulman's almost every Sunday afternoon for bowling, drinks, and appetizers, and Alex always takes such great care of us. She is friendly, attentive, and makes us feel welcome every single time we come in. One of the things we appreciate most is how personal the service feels. Since we come in regularly, she already knows our usual orders and always checks on us throughout the afternoon to make sure everything is good. Even when the bar gets busy, she stays upbeat, professional, and keeps everyone taken care of. Alex is honestly one of the main reasons we enjoy coming back every week. A group of my friends and I decided to go to this sports bar and grill to watch the Cowboys and Seahawks play tonight. I got there early enough to get seats by the fireplace. Our waitress Melissa took my order and my friend's order at the same time. We asked politely to have the TV's turned on to the game. We were informed that the IT guy was gone for the day and there would only be 1 TV with no sound in our area! Not sure how you can be a sports bar with no sound and hardly anything to watch or listen to! My friend received his food but no lettuce, tomatoes or ketchup. My food did not arrive with his and he finished eating before my food arrived. When the manager limped to my table with my food, I was informed that the kitchen was backed up. My food was stone cold! My fries were cold and not even a little warm! I took the food back to the bar and complained. Melissa told me the manager would be out to see me. She never showed up. I had to ask for my check, no one seemed to care that not one person in my party of 8 was happy with the poor service, cold food, and almost contempt for wanting acceptable service and food! Shelby is always fantastic and does her best to get your food out as quick and correctly as possible. She is the reason I keep coming back as a regular. Came here with my wife and was seated immediately, food was awesome and our waiter Ethan never let the cups go dry. Perfect meal to start off before the movies! Food is trash.... No way around it. Service is pretty good in bar area - no complaints with service Unless you want pizza, it's a lost cause... I don't want to hate, but I've tried so many times to only be disappointed repeatedly.... Even the heat and serve items are epic fail. read more

We tried to call in an order when we left Allen. We called the only number which was the office. The message said for "Billy's" press 4. Pressed 4 and got VM. How do you place a to go order if they don't have a phone. We had a trailer full of cows so we were trying to hurry. I went in placed my order with the manager. I ordered Fish and Chips and a Bacon Cheese burger with a chocolate extreme milkshake. The cheeseburger was placed on top of pickles which made the bottom bun so soggy you could not eat it. I asked the manager if they had a phone and she said NO. When the manager gave me my food I asked if my malted vinager was in my meal and she said" the sauce is in your meal". I love this place for movies, but the food is atrocious. I've tried it 10+ times with several things on the menu. Today my salad literally had rotten tomatoes on it. I took a few bites and gave up eating, praying I don't get sick later. I'm rooting for this place to improve with the big boom that Sherman is about to have and because it's closer for us to come to. Please visit movie house eatery in McKinney and take notes from their menu because their food is amazing. That or make a smaller menu where you can really focus on making the food good. read more

We had a party of 4 at 6:30pm and we got sat immediately by a very nice host! Our waitress was extremely kind and funny, and food was amazing. I got boneless BBQ wings, side of fries, and a lemonade. I don't want to give this place a full 1 star because my and my mom's food was ok. However that couldn't be said for everyone else. My friend ordered the Rueben sandwich and for a place touting their corned beef as "in-house made" we expected more. Well not more per se but we did expect there to be actual corned beef and not huge hunks of FAT (see picture). My friend's sandwich was awful. We showed the manager and he took off half of the cost for my friend. Like, really?!? I guess he figured since my friend could eat the bread that would be good enough. My dad didn't finish his hamburger and this is a guy who looooves hamburgers. The bun was somehow both crunchy/stale on the outside and soggy on the inside. My brother's chicken strips were rubbery. My chicken fried steak was fairly ok but needed some seasoning. My mom did enjoy her Philly cheesesteak sandwich thankfully. We also sat around and waited for a waitress for about 10 minutes. Every waiter there walked by and looked at us but nobody would wait on us. Mind you, they weren't busy. We were one of maybe five tables in there at 5:00 on a Saturday early evening. I finally saw the manager and asked if somebody wanted to actually wait on us. He got a waitress and at the veeeery end of the dinner told us it wasn't the waitress' fault but that our table wasn't assigned to anyone and that's why nobody waited on us. He "comped us" half off the two orders of cheese sticks that were ordered. That should have been done up front (the apology) and seriously what's his deal with half off? That's basically a half apology. I can't really recommend this place but hopefully others will have better luck. read more

Had a cheese pizza at a movie. Pizza was prompt and hot... the food ends there. Do people who own or run this restaurant not eat their own food? They are close. Too much tomato paste. Fix your sauce, it's not difficult! Your dough for the crust needs a little more salt in the recipe. Bland tasteless dough is due to salt percentage. Oh yeah, put some cheese on your cheese pizza! We ordered two pizzas to-go on New Years Eve. They were terrible; cracker thin, hardly any sauce and no cheese. We have had pizza there many times and it was good. My husband called to complain and he was told they have a new chef and that's the way it is now. No "make good" or apology. I also noticed the housekeeping in the building (carpets, restrooms, etc.) was not what it once was. Sorry to see once of the few places close to our home go downhill. read more

We love coming to Billy's since we are treated so well by Marshall in the restaurant/bar portion. He is a fantastic bartender with a great personality and he knows exactly what we want when we come in. As for the food, we have had issues with the Reuben sandwich being fatty and tough but the remainder of the food has been exceptional. We especially love the veggie pizza and the big burgers. The salad is really crisp and fresh, too. The only thing I do wish more for is a healthier selection of items. Most is calorie dense and not very good for a body. Overall, we love spending one day/night a week here with what we feel is a friendly and welcoming environment. I previously rated this place higher. It's gone downhill. I literally just left there after sitting at the bar for about 15 minutes without ANYONE even talking to me. This isn't an isolated incident, either. This is the fourth time this has happened. I get that times are tight and that many places are short-staffed, but there were FOUR employees in the restaurant/bar area. They wouldn't even make eye contact with me. I've become somewhat of a local at this bar. I'm not going to drive 30 minutes, one-way, just to be ignored. I added 4 minutes to my drive and went to 903 Brewery. Worth the drive. My husband and I stopped in for lunch. Our waitress took our drink order and brought them quickly. Then, she took our food order. I ordered the Caesar Salad with Parmesan Chicken and my husband ordered the Rib Eye with 2 sides. After about 30 minutes, she returns and apologizes and tells my husband that she went back to the kitchen to check on our order and was told by the cook that they didn't have any steaks thawed out! WHY didn't the cook tell her immediately when she put in the order? My husband then placed an order for Plain chicken wings (bone-in). After about another 15 minutes, she returns and apologizes again and says that she was told they are out of wings. Again, WHY didn't they inform her when she turned in the order?? My husband then asked, what did they have? She said any burger or any of the wraps or sandwiches. So, he ordered the Chicken and Bacon and Ranch wrap with a side of fries. After another 15 to 20 minutes someone brought out both of our meals. He said that his wrap was very good; my chicken on my salad, however, was dry and pretty tough (I suspect it had set under the heat lamp the entire time while his order was being straightened out). After we finished eating, we waited for about 20 minutes and had to flag someone down to get the check. It was like all of the servers had gone on break and IF we did see one, they weren't looking in our direction. Our waitress brought the check again apologizing for the delay and said that she had to get a manager to remove the charge for the rib eye. We realize that it wasn't her fault for the problems with his orders, but clearly something needs to be done about the lack of communication between the kitchen staff and the wait staff. read more

Disaster from the start. I have visited this place on 2 different occasions hoping the second experience would be better than the first. However, the experience was an even more disaster. A few examples: waiter was switched 3 times, drink order was given 3 times, food was delayed by 2 hours, when delivered it was cold and awful. Lastly, I would say this place is nice if you plan on using the gaming area, but by all means go eat somewhere else before arriving!!! read more
