14 inch pancakes, giant chicken fried steak, billion dollar bacon-all I highly recommend. Giant portions. Obviously I'm not from around here but the staff was so kind! Our waitress greeted our table of ten kindly and was able to get our drinks and order in quickly. Our food came out HOT. My husband got the "small" stack of pancake which was the 14" pancake just single-even the kids pancake is 10" and honestly they could have shared. I ordered the chicken fried steak and this was BOMB-the gravy was so peppery and thick though the breading was a smudge too thick for my taste. The billion dollar bacon was so good!!!! It was soaked in maple or sugar and had pepper and cayenne, a beautiful mixture and the bacon stayed crispy. read more

We tried Billy Gail's for the first time recently. Husband had catfish and I had fried chicken . It was all very good. They have yummy fried pies! So if you are into fried food then they can hook you up! They do have stuff that isn't fried but we didn't eat that! We will go read more

Can't say enough good things about the breakfast!! The 14" pancake will easily feed 2 people. My husband had the pancake & a huge ( 1 POUND) piece of ham on the side ! So, again-- more than enough for 2. I wanted grits and I know who knows how to properly prepare grits. So, I gave these a try on a meal that came with bacon , toast/biscuit and an egg. They brought out a huge bowl of perfectly prepared grits! ( the best I've had in a long time). I ate grits & toast but the eggs & meat were too much for me to eat. However, my husband wanted the eggs to put on his pancake. He eventually helped me out with my bacon, too. The whole decor is mainly old metal signs of all kinds. Fun to read-- they are even on the ceilings. The whole place is family friendly but the lines move fairly fast. No matter what size party was being seated, it didn't take long. To Callie!!! The sweetest , most caring server I've ever met. She took time to visit with up & we definitely want to meet up with Callie again when we get back up to Hollister. read more

You know your going to be full with you see customers leaving the restaurant with their to go boxes are basically a large pizza takeout box! My table ordered a one pancake, one specialty pancake, a chicken fried steak and...(there's always one)...a brisket salad ‼ our waiter admitted that people rarely clean off their plates. The casual family friendly restaurant is a good choice for the whole family. read more

Amazing food!! Never had catfish and eggs before, highly recommend. Unique place, worth the stop.

It was a busy Saturday morning. Restaurant was clean. We got seated pretty quick. Food was good they have a wide variety of choices. The service was marginal. read more

This place was very good. Definitely somewhere we would go back to again. Husband ordered two of the 14 in pancakes. I think he regretted that instantly because they were huge. Daughter 1 had the dessert pancake which she said was good. Daughter 2 got the blueberry French cake. I got the catfish basket. All of it great. Service was fast. Only complaint I could see is the hours. They do close kind of early at 3pm during the week but that would be the only con of this place. read more

The first thing you need to know about Billy Gail's is the portions are huge. HUGE. You get your money's worth and then some. Everything is delicious, I've never heard any complaints. The service is fine, friendly staff. Ambiance is old school, signs and decor everywhere. Be prepared to wait if you get there after church! read more

We arrived at a busy time and were told it was about a 30 minute wait. When they seated us it was right around that mark and the front of house staff was nice. The ambiance is kind of cool with all the antiques, signs, and an assortment of items on the walls & ceiling. The food was brought out warm and very presentable. The taste was very good and we all enjoyed our lunch. Would come back. read more

Great place to eat. Food and service were both wonderful! Highly recommend if you're in the Springfield/Branson area.

I love love love this place!! I had catfish and a pancake. Odd breakfast I know, but I had a hankering, and this place hit the spot. It was our first going, and we will be back again.! read more

The portion are huge. The food was good. I had gails omelette but I wasn't too crazy about it because it gave me McDonald's folded egg vibe and I'm not a fan of that. My family ordered a variety of things, smoked wings, billion dollar bacon, French toast, bologna, monte cristo, the big pancake, biscuits and gravy. Literally everything was good. I recommend sharing with someone because there is no way a normal human can eat all of that food in one sitting. Service was spectacular. I'm glad I saw the big chicken while driving down the highway and looked this place up! Def recommend. read more

Service was horrible. Nobody came to my table after 15 minutes we left. 2pm on a Sunday and they weren't busy at all

Fun atmosphere and huge portions. Service always friendly and nice spot to go for a family holiday breakfast.

The pancake is giant but also delicious. The billion dollar bacon was pretty good but nothing super fantastic. The service was good, the prices were good and the ambiance was not lacking. Check it out! read more

The best part of Billy Gail's is the GIANT pancake you'll end up ordering every time you visit! The main courses may not stand out that much, but they're filling and tasty and that's what really matters. I don't recommend ordering on yelp to go. Food was not fresh nor was it warm . We waited over an hour . Not to mention our food had to be done way before the time on yelp provided. Waste of money and time !! read more

We had dinner there the other day. There was a lengthy wait for the food as it was clear that they were understaffed and struggling to keep up. In fact, another nearby couple got tired of waiting and they just got up and left. Our server was Amber. After about a 40-45 minute wait, she dropped the food on our table and walked away. It was the classic "dump and run". Both my order and my wife's order was barely lukewarm. We should have sent it back but we're also tired of the long wait. Amber made sure not to return to return to our table until she was dropping off the check. She never checked back with us to see if everything was okay. I think that she knew the food had sat and was no longer hot. That is why she pulled the disappearing act. She never offered us drink refills either. If, and that is a big IF, we ever go back to Billy Gail's again, I WILL NOT accept her as our server. I did write on the check "food was lukewarm at best", so hopefully a manager will see that. I think you are better off eating there during breakfast time s that is when they are better staffed. read more

Their food is amazing and their portions or huge but DO NOT ORDER ON HERE. It takes forever and they jack up prices when you order online. If you want great food go into the restaurant. Don't order takeout or delivery read more

My husband and I stopped there on a Thursday afternoon around 2:00 for a late lunch 2 weeks ago. 3 things: 1. My husband had to go into the eating area (after waiting 5 minutes) for someone to seat us. 2: the food was horrible, cold! The fried okra was slimy, yuck!! 3: we had to watch our waitress clean and sweep before she even checked on us and no refills! We barely touched our food and she didn't even ask how the food was. Horrible experience for spending over $50. Will not be back!! read more

The portions are unbelievable!!!!!! Stumbled onto Billy Gails by accident and not disappointed. Very friendly employees. We were in a busy section with children all around but it was not noisy. I expected it to be louder but was pleasantly surprised Word of warning: the fried chicken/fried catfish combo is enough for 2 people. Highly recommend Billy Gails read more

The food is good and potions enough for two. Service friendly, love the old fashioned decor.

We had a two hour wait at Lamberts so searched and found Billy's on Yelp. Not much of a wait for a table. A longer wait for food BUT it was well worth it. Had the fried chicken (available on weekends only). It came hot and moist and delicious. Mashed pots were real potatoes. Home made cole slaw also delicious. We often get to Lamberts on our way to Branson but based on how good the food was here, this will be our new stop. read more

Thanksgiving meal was disgusting. Turkey was undercooked and tasted like dirty pocket change. Picture of meal was nothing like what you get. Server was not bathed. He had sweet potatoes on his forehead. Pumpkin pie was freezer burned. Booth was undersized for normal sized adults. Server forgot to bring food and brought desert first. The cost for the disgusting meal was $75 for 2 people. read more

This place was all the rage so we decided to try it on our way out of town. It's not a bad breakfast place but nothing spectacular either. The gimmick is 14 inch pancakes. These things are huge! They were quite good too. They warm up the syrup which is nice. The gravy was just okay. The biscuits were hard and eggs were...well...just eggs. The coffee is watery-grossness. The table next to us sent their coffee back because it's so terrible. I just drowned mine in creamer and sugar. Basically, come for the huge pancakes and nothing else. read more

We have now eaten at the new Ozark location several times. Each stop has been so worth it. Service is very good. We've tried several of the foods. The fish and chicken are both excellent choices - cooked to perfection. Mmmmmm Ask your waitress about the special nights for these favorites. The Pancake- only order if you have several people to share with. It is very tasty. If you can't eat this' 14"pancake while you sit you get a large pizza box to take your leftovers home with you.
