Ordered a bunch of food but by far my favorite was the breakfast sandwiches, especially the Buff, which consists of Georgia Red Hot, Hash Brown, Double Egg, Cheese on a Portuguese Roll. Simple ambiance and hospitable service.

Stopped in to meet a few friends. Bill's has a cool retro vibe. The place was incredibly clean and bright, and with little knick knacks/collectibles, memorabilia and photos throughout. The menu has so many options, including daily specials. You can order anything on the menu antime of the day! Soups are made in house. Staff were very friendly, courteous and seemed to care a lot about this place and all customers. Thanks Nico! I very much enjoyed my baja fish sandwich for lunch and took home a delicious roast beef sandwich with gravy on a toasted hard roll for later. We brought another friend an egg and bacon sandwich on a hard roll and she raved about it! I will most definitely return for gyro which I am told is magically delicious. Great, casual, friendly, super clean spot to eat in or take out. Plently of parking. Check it out.

Well, here we go! Bill's Drive In, is a nice little spot, Menu board was outdated and vintage, giving an old school vibe. But everything was clean. Ordered the breakfast special sandwich which included; Georgia Hot, two fried eggs, hash brown & topped with American cheese, all these items were sandwiched between a toasted Porteguese Roll. Great sandwich. The Georgia Hot (which is usually very spicy) was split and deep fried and finished on the grill which tamed some of the heat! On top of that was two fried eggs, over well, break the yolk, layered with two slices of American Cheese! To finish the sandwich was the toasted hash brown. The Portuguese Roll held the sandwich together (it really didn't need to be toasted; personal opinion). Taking a bite of the sandwich, you get a spicy bite of the GH, then eggs and creamy melted cheese; mellowing the spicy & smoky notes of the sausage and then the crunchy bite of the hash brown completed between the soft roll of goodness. Yummy. I will rate this sandwich with a 4.50 out of 5 stars. It's a well thought out sandwich. The price of the sandwich was $9.68, which was on the verge of the pricy side of goodness. It's a huge, meaty & cheesy sandwich which you cannot eat more than half at a time, wait awhile, then polish off the other half later! It's really was worth the trip. Ok now for the Morning Glory muffin which the cashier (whom was friendly, pleasant and accommodating) suggested that I have it toasted with butter! It was on the small side for $3.00 but it tasted better than it looked with the slightly burnt edges! The mixture of carrots, nuts and little chunks of nastiness was worth it (in my humble opinion). This is not an every day breakfast choice, but every now and then you deserve to go all the way to sit down, and enjoy a meal of tasty goodness. You owe you that!!! Thank you for being kind to me! It's not a given... Chef G Til next time

Driven by this place for a few years and always wanted to try. Well. On a hungover Sunday morning craving a greasy bacon Hegg n a cheese this was just about the only option open. And they did not disappoint! We came in and ordered the special. Which completely hit the spot! My tea order wasn't quite right but the lovely baggies came by to check on diners and gladly remade it. Family friendly, don't forget to check out the specials!

UPDATE: About time to do an update..I have been here several times since my first review and have new pics. So I like this place. But I like em better for breakfast then lunch or dinner. I was not wild about their fried clams and do not think I'd get them again. These are clam STRIPS..not whole belly clams. I do however love their breakfasts. I always have. Their bacon is so crispy and good. And my dad's a fan! He loves their egg sandwich. I am not much of an egg eater but it does look good. Food's out fast and it seems clean and is quiet. But the best thing is and has been their value. Bill's is so affordable and that is such a nice thing. They give good size portions too so you get lots of food for your buck! I would absolutely recommend them, especially their breakfasts. Hit or miss but absolutely cannot be beat when it comes to price. Bill's is a place to go when you want something affordable and casual. I have been here when the food was really good and then again when it wasn't. You order at the counter. Last time I was here they still had Breakfast all day which was cool. It's not a bad little place at all. I prefer their breakfasts to lunch and dinner. Sometimes I have found the fried food a bit greasy but breakfasts are fine and so affordable. Excellent value I must say. And one could do worse. They've been around forever and for something quick and convenient they fit the "Bill".

The only thing worse than the food was the lousy service. I never once saw the girl smile and I ate two bites and left.

Try someplace different if you can. Mediocre to bad food. This place is stuck in time, but not necessarily in a good way.

Two good-sized Maryland-style cakes, nicely seared and packed with crab (not filler). They came over a bed of fresh arugula and parmesan with a lemony kick and chili aioli that tied it together really well. The fish and chips were classic -- a big, flaky piece of wild cod fried golden. Fries were solid, tartar sauce hit the spot. Tried the crispy chicken sandwich too. Juicy chicken, cheddar, bacon, pickles, and the same chili aioli they used on the crab cakes. Really tasty combo, and the fries on the side were crisp. Overall: good food, friendly vibe, and worth a return visit.

We also ordered the coconut shrimp w/ sweet chili sauce and that was definitely my favorite part of my meal. So delicious! Especially the sauce! Entree: I ordered the bacon cheese burger, it was good. Could have used a bit more seasoning on the meat and the bacon could have been cooked longer, but I did enjoy it. The French fries were delicious. Ambiance: cute little bar style. Very clean. Loved that there was a gentleman there singing. Not sure if this is just a weekend thing. We came on a Saturday. Lots of different types of people there. Very chill and cozy vibes. Loved the dimmed lighting. Service: sadly I forgot our servers name but wow was he great! Very patient, kind, and funny. Very attentive. Overall the experience was great. I would 100 percent come back and it's definitely worth checking out!

The restaurant is so very cozy and warm. The fireplace is gorgeous. Our servers especially Jenna are kind and attentive. The food is extremely good, I love the Mussels Fra Diablo. Tonight I enjoyed the Sirloin steak special dinner with mashed potatoes and broccoli . The steak was perfectly cooked and could be cut with a butter knife...that tender. The restaurant is very clean and nice--not too overwhelming in terms of lighting and music. The food came fast. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing (to no fault of the waitress of course). We ordered the beef empanadas, the truffle burger, and the barnyard burger. The empanada crust was burnt and hard, with barely any actual filling. For $15, we were given 2 tiny empanadas. The truffle fries barely had any truffle flavor and the sweet potato fries were overdone. My truffle burger was soggy, with not enough bread and pretty much no flavor. Overall, overpriced for not very good food. The sink water was freezing cold. Maybe today was just a bad day for them, but I wouldn't come here again.

Over medium eggs are exactly that. Not over cooked and not over easy. Many places don't get that part. The bacon is high quality and always crispy not under cooked and rubbery as I have received from other restaurants . They are generous with home fries and hash browns which ever you choose as well as condiments. I have never been to the store so I cant speak to that but their food is fantastic.

We have a longstanding tradition of ordering Wellington's on New Year's Eve. Well- even traditions…read moremust come to end because we will never be ordering from there again. Rumor has it the restaurant has changed ownership in the last year- and if that's true- can the old owners buy it back? There has been such a decline in food quality and service! Let's begin with all the ways the food was subpar. First- my mother did the fixed price menu. They forgot one of her courses entirely. The shrimp cocktail was not in the building. Not that it's a huge loss- you get four measley shrimp. Then, the lamb chops were supposed to come with arugula- and the "salad" was a weird container of lettuce and cannellini beans- beans were never mentioned anywhere on this menu. We honestly didn't even know whose meal that was supposed to pair with because nothing like it was on the entire menu. Food allergy risk anybody? The lamb chops were also bone dry- no trace of the reduction or glacier sauce that the menu specified. The worst offense of all were the salad dressings. They were completely inedible! The balsamic vinaigrette was just pure vinegar- like get out your Easter eggs to dye because that's really all you can do with straight vinegar. The raspberry vinaigrette had the consistency of a jam and lo and behold, tasted like a container of raspberry jam. Another was pure olive oil and the honey mustard was oily and way too honey- I think they forgot the mustard part. On top of the food being a total train wreck- the worst part was the service. From start to finish the staff was rude and made it seem like they were doing us a favor by serving us- that's your literal job! Both when we placed the order, picked up the food AND when my mom drove back to get her missing course they acted like we were such an inconvenience and annoyance. For the prices they charge- all of this was unacceptable. Pack orders correctly. Make edible food. Treat your customers with the slightest bit of hospitality. It's not hard to figure out. It's worth noting that when we returned for our missing course another customer was there demanding money back for spoiled food they were given on new years as well. Patrons of Shelton- raise your standards! We don't have a ton of higher end dining options and thus the ones we do have need to exceed expectations. Unfortunately, or maybe it's actually fortunately for us, we won't be back.
