This dealer ship is a Scam!!!! Service dept told me I needed brakes replaced and that I only had 1mm of pad left. Went home and removed rims and saw I had plenty of brake pads. I took pics of everything and have been in contact with management who says they will reimburse for pads only but not for the Labor I paid to my nephew to inspect and do work that dealer claimed needed done. Let me start by saying the purchase of my corvette went smoothly. However, as a condition of the sale Bill Estes Chevrolet promised in writing to provide the second key fob as part of the sale. I have been contacting my salesperson (Ikahn) every month with the same results - he will check. It has now been six months and I still don't have the key fob. It may not sound like much, but to get a new fob and programming will be several hundred dollars and I live three hours from Indy. Love the car but not the follow-through. read more

My head gasket blew and needed a new radiator to which Bill Estes replaced for us thru my extended warranty. My car made it 347 miles and then overheated again to which the dealership in Chicago where I live, dismantled my engine to find that stop leak was all in my engine making it so my extended warranty will not cover a new engine. Bill Estes deny putting stop leak in my engine but no idea how it would have gotten in there unless they put it in there or if it was in there they wouldnt have been able to do the initial repair anyways. I have tried calling the GM Michael Foster for a week and am told he is in meetings, he will call me back or I call back and told he isn't in today. I have placed voicemails and sent an email. It is clear negligence happened at their facility and are avoiding my calls. It feels like they wanted the quick sale from my extended warranty and put my car in a situation that led to my engine officially being inoperable. read more

First I had to have a part ordered and no one called or reached out to me after several days with any update. I left multiple messages and no one called me back, even the rep that was working with me. After I called them to find out they had received it, I was told I would receive a callback to setup an appointment. That didn't happen, so I called them and setup an "appointment" to do the work for first thing the following morning. I dropped the car off early for the "appointment". Half a day later they haven't even looked at my car. The service level and communication is terrible. They act as though being without your car all day isn't an inconvenience and you clearly can wait for hours because you have nothing better to do. I attempted to take my car to an outside shop, but no one could do the work except the dealer due to a lack of availability for the part. If possible, I will never have work done here again and will actively avoid it. And, absolutely no chance I would purchase a car from them if this is their "service". read more

We were disappointed that we were told we could get another lease for not much more than we were paying with no downpayment. Ended up costing us $140 more a month and $1k down. After the Firestone on Michigan between 106 and 116th denied me service on my vehicle because it's a diesel (after servicing it previously), I started bringing my vehicle here - almost 3 years now. I've always had great service, sometimes with long wait times because the Chevy is a company car and is owned by Wheels (fleet company). Wheels can have long wait times when they have to call in for approval for something. Today, they told me Wheels has been having longer wait times than usual and my service visit would be at least an hour, maybe two. Just to pour in diesel exhaust fluid, like you pump gas. It's my fault because I forgot to ask at the last oil change to top it off. The nice young men in the service department told me if I purchased the DEF, one would put it in for me. He did, and it took way less time than waiting for Wheels! I will probably do that from now on. Thank you for always giving reliable service and great advice. read more

My husband has brought his car here to have it serviced since buying it in 2014. I've been taking my car here since 2017 and we have always been happy with the customer service and actual service that Bill Estes provides. There are a couple issues that we've had with one of our cars that we've fixed on our own because we could do it cheaper but we usually get coupons in the mail for oil changes which is always appreciated! My husband always says the woman working the front desk is awesome. She knows him by name and is always very personable. Kudos to Bill Estes for taking care of our cars! read more

So torn between 3 and 4 stars. Made my appointment on line a few weeks ago. I was 5 min late getting to Bill Estes. As I pulled in the guys along the east wall never moved. I'm used to Ray Skillman employees meeting you at your car when you pull in for service. I walked over to see which one of them was going to look up and say hello. One did. Got the usually your car has such and such miles on it and we recommend these services. I asked how much and then said no. Just the services I came in for. Went to the waiting area. It is one of the most generic boring waiting areas I've seen in a car dealership. About an hour and a half later my car was done and I got paged over the PA instead of just texting me. Walked back to the service area to the guy that I dealt with. Without getting up he pointed over to where I needed to go pay. Young lady in the checkout area was friendly. They did no extra services like vacuuming or car wash. Only came here because it's closer then Ray Skillman Chevy. read more

I have bought 2 suburbans from Bill Estes and have had almost all my service done there. I made an appointment for today March 13, 2023 at 11 am for a minor oil leak. I don't have another driver in my househoso I asked for a shuttle back home as they would likely keep the vehicle (which is what I have always done). The scheduler said they only shuttled 10 miles and my house was 12 miles away. She would check and get back to me if they couldn't do it since I had been a loyal customer for 20 years. As I walked out the door this morning, on my day off from work, I called to confirm and I had no appointment - cancelled without even letting me know. Made an appointment for this morning, brought my car in at the scheduled time of 7:30am. At 9am they text me and told me all the services they recommended, I declined them all because I just needed an oil change and didn't want to spend the extra money. At 10:30-three hours past me getting there--I hadn't heard anything so I go in to check. Mind you, they knew I was waiting on my car so I would be around...the service advisor comes in and says 'yeah, we paged you over the loud speakers at 9:30'. I said I've been sitting outside since I got here. You would think someone would have come outside to see if I was there. All he said was yeah, our apologies! I just wasted three hours of my day getting a routine oil change. Thankfully, it's beautiful outside and I got to catch up on some things but would have loved to have done that at my own house! Don't expect the coupons for the services to be anywhere near what they are listed. I paid $8.83 for "shop supplies" for an oil change/tire rotation. This is new as I have never had this before - what shop supplies are needed to change oil and rotate tires? They weren't very busy so I didn't wait too long (like others have) but they did try to sell extra services including an alignment based on mileage (had one recently and tires weren't wearing oddly). The best part of the experience was Barry who has always been attentive and customer oriented. The customer service has been cut back dramatically and the prices keep rising - not the best experience. read more

First let me start with the fact that I pulled my car in and stood outside my car to make eye contact with the following men and they never once even came over to help regardless that they were not busy: Ryan Ray, Mark Philips, and Barry Gregory. Finally, Nathan Gregg helped me after I was standing there for 20 minutes and watched the guy behind me get helped even though he got there after me and I had an appointment. If you value your time DO NOT come here. I came in here for a simple oil change, which normally comes with a tire rotation and I told them to not worry about that because I was getting two new tires. SOOO... they had less work to do on my car than normal oil changes and it still took them over 2 hours. TWO HOURS! For an oil change. I used to change my own oil with my dad and it should never take anyone that long to change the oil in one car. Between the two hour wait for the oil change and watching three of their workers completely just ignore a costumer this place deserves less than one star, but yelp is generous. UPDATE 4/7/2016 I pulled my Tahoe back home to Texas and took my "unrebuildable" trans to my transmission guy. he charged me $1,200 to rebuild it and Its my daily driver now.. BILL ESTES you really need to flush out your hobby mechanics for some REAL mechanics. you had my tahoe there and had my business up until your mechanic wanted to make more money off me. Your "mechanic" said my trans was too far gone to rebuild and would be cheaper to install new $4,000 trans instead. REALLY?!?!?!?!?! Horrible. I was robbed by a local shop before, so I figured I would take my vehicle to a Dealership instead. Biggest mistake. The service person told me the mechanic said my transmission was no good and that the external parts were stripped and broken. I told them to fix it and I would pay for it in a couple of weeks. They said they could not do that. So I went and picked up my vehicle with transmission out of the vehicle. Wow. That's not they way I brought it to them. And second I could tell the transmission was never even opened. Also I noticed nothing external was stripped. Stay away. Unless you have $5,000 laying around to fix your vehicle. They have the lowest price in the area for a Mobil One full synthetic oil change so that is the primary reason I bring my 2011 Kia Sorento (purchased elsewhere) here. They have a loyalty card where if you buy 6 Oil changes , you get your 7th free so that brings the average price down, too. All the service reps I've dealt with are extre.ely friendly and helpful. I've also gotten good deals on 2 new sets of tires here (they will price match anyone in the area). The waiting area is pretty good and they have free wifi and coffee/soft drinks. read more

Women be very careful! I think being female with no ring on my finger makes me a target. I purchased a coupon from Living Social for an oil change. The first clue that I was in for a bad experience was their need to charge an extra $10 for "a different oil". That hasn't happened in the 6 years I have owned my car. I also needed a new drain plug which was going to be an extra $10 - $20 (online they are $3.99 to $9.08). Then they needed an hour to an hour and a half...again for an oil change. The service tech came back to tell me that the drain plug thread were stripped and the oil pan had to be replaced. $850! Glaring at the service tech, I called my usual mechanic (who doesn't do oil changes) and he said to have them rethread the plug and he would find someone else for me to see. $143 later....for an oil change. I wish I had looked at the other reviews before I bought the coupon and went to Bill Estes. read more

I just recently bought a 2020 Chevy equinox and I absolutely love it. My sales guy was Jim Barrett he is the upmost amazing person to buy a vehicle from. No pressure at all. He is super laid back and makes sure you get the best deal there is. The financial guy Levi is awesome too he explains everything in detail and does not try to up sell everything. Colte the other financial guy is super unprofessional and has a ego bigger than the room so you should stay away from him. My whole experience was a 5 star except dealing with Colte so I knocked a star off. Now for the service department I will never take my car there to be worked on I took my 2013 Chevy Cruze there and they messed it up so bad. read more

Since we were halfway to our destination, we stopped and bought a $16 dollar oil plug hoping this would fix the issue, at least temporarily, but the oil pan simply would not hold the plug because it was stripped so bad. From this point, my car stopped holding any oil, it was just a constant leak. We had to come home from our trip because it was unsafe to drive, and called the dealership first thing on Monday to tell them the issue, I spoke with Mark Phillips and had my inoperable vehicle towed in for them to look at. He stated I had a warranty through June 2017. I then received a call from Mark stating that we had damaged the oil pan when we put our oil plug in, and I was expected to pay $650 to replace the oil pan and plug. When I stated that I had a warranty and the it due to their negligence with telling me how they had rigged the plug to hold, he stated it was still our problem. I had my sister, whos a service manager at another dealership and speak with them, and Mark said, and I quote "I can't prove or disapprove that we did it". He also stated to me that placing a helical wire after an oil change in a Chevy Cruze is how they did their oil changes...Why was I not informed of this? THIS IS RIDICULOUS. You would think something as simple as a windshield wiper replacement and oil change you wouldn't have any issues, but clearly they can't even do the most routine services correctly. Now, I have to take my vehicle elsewhere and hopefully not be charged $650 for a screw up they made. I used to love owning a Chevy, but after this customer service experience, I will never purchase another Chevy Vehicle again. read more

Went in planning to purchase a car that day. Talked to Jim Barnett. Friendly enough guy, but at times I felt that he was trying to fill in the blanks with something that sounded impressive when we talked about car specifications. Gives me a quote for a lease for $274/month. Which I think is a little high, but take with a grain of salt. So he pulls up the car we'd been talking about. It has from $139/month in foot tall stickers on the driver's side door. We ask him about it, and he tries to 'splain to me how that's for if you've previously had a lease deal. Forgive me. But I have a hard time believing that alone nearly doubles the price. Take a look at the car, and I'm still willing to take a look. He comes in with the trade in offer for my car. Which is about 40% of Blue Book value for a trade in. I point this out to him. He shows me the print out of what they valued it at, 25% above the offer they made to me. Then I look at the specs for the car, and I point out they gave me a trade in quote for an entirely different vehicle. At that point, I decide I want to walk. If they can't get that right, what else are they trying to pull one over on me for. So I ask for the keys to my car. He spends like 10 minutes "getting my keys" and before I leave his manager comes out to try to sweet talk me. Asks me how he could make the sale. I tell him that training his salespeople to have the respect to not lie to people's faces, and expect them not to catch it is a good place to start. I got two calls in the hour after I left, asking me to reconsider. Not an awesome experience. read more

This was a pretty awful experience. First, I purchased a groupon to get my oil changed. There was NOTHING that said I'd have to pay the taxes once the oil change was done. I've never paid taxes on a groupon before. You can't add fees. They did their inspection. They missed the exhaust leak. They said my brakes were getting due for repair/replacement. I literally had a new brake system installed two and a half weeks ago. They said my windshield wipers would need replaced soon. Got those in May. They also said my steering gear was leaking. That was going to cost me almost $1200. I own a 2002 Chevy cavalier. I found the parts online for $120. They said three hours of labor. So basically, they're charging $300+ per hour for labor. Two weeks ago I asked them how much it would cost to change my rear tail light. $40-$45. Guess what? I changed it myself. It cost me $6. They are overpriced. They are rude. The car service here are a bunch of crooks. I took my 2013 Cruze in because my service Traction Control, and StabiliTrak warning messages came on. They ran a diagnosis and said I need to change my acceleerator pedal, spark plugs, and ignition coil and my problem would be fixed. Over a $1,000 in repairs. Not even a week later I'm having the same thing happening. Take it back to them. Run another diagnosis. Said my battery was bad and the negative battery cable needed to be replaced. Had a lot of battery corrosion. Why wasn't this found on the first diagnosis over a week ago? Pretty sure that corrosion didn't just happen in a week. Red Flag. $425 to repair not including taxes and labor. So maybe close to $600. I didn't have the repair done. Took my car home and clean off all the corrosion on the battery as well as the cable. Couples days after doing that, haven't had a problem. Took it to a NAPA Car Center. They said yes the battery needs to be replace but your cable is fine. You don't need to spend money that you don't need too. $265 for the repairs at NAPA. Again this dealership are a bunch of crooks. Do your research on other smaller car centers. You'll get honest diagnosis and won't have to pay ridiculous amounts to get your car fixed right. read more

My girlfriend recently just bought a vehicle from this dealership in November 2018 and after having multiple problems from day one, we recently just found out from her mechanic that the brakes are 95% worn in the front and the rear brakes are 100% worn. On 5/13 we purchased a low-mileage used 2019 Cadillac XTS. After the test drive we looked the car over VERY carefully, especially paint, body and wheel condition. All four wheels were in perfect condition, i.e. new looking with no marks, scuffs, scrapes, etc.. After finalizing the deal, the Service/clean-up staff took the car to clean it up prior to us taking it home. Unfortunately we didn't inspect it again after they cleaned it. Upon getting it home and looking closely in our garage, we noticed both left side wheels were very scraped around the rim and even deeply gouged in a couple of places. I called the next day, 5/14, and spoke to the General Manager who said they have cameras, he'd look into it and get back to me later that day. Five days later and no response. Avoid this dealership. But if you do buy a car from Bill Estes Chevrolet, be sure to inspect it carefully before taking delivery. There's a chance they will damage it post-purchase / pre-delivery. read more

Lately I've noticed that it just didn't have the "off the start" power that it used to have, and also that gas mileage had dropped significantly. I recently purchased a used 2016 Chevy Tahoe and the sales staff was great. I researched their website and it was easy to use and the price was very competitive. When I arrived they had it cleaned for me to test drive and the whole process took under two hours. The sales managers came buy and offered us snacks and drinks and made us feel like family. They even had a techie guy go over all of the options and technology. I usually don't write reviews but this was by far the best experience I've had buying a car. I highly recommend them. read more

Friendly and reasonably priced service. It cost $22 to remove a bolt from my tire and patch it, and it was done quickly. My only complaint (I guess not really a complaint, but a bit suspect) is they gave me my service review and it said I may need to consider having the tires replaced. Except this is May and I just had them replaced FROM Bill Estes in November. So either they gave me crap tires back then or they don't really need replacing now. I gave this place a shot despite what others had said since it was the closest and I definitely regret it now. I dropped my car off on a Wednesday morning, they test drove it Wednesday & they couldn't replicate the problem. They said they would test drive it Thursday after it sat all night. I got a call Thursday saying they did a drive and couldn't replicate the problem so I could pick it up. I told him I had a video I could send and he said he would show the technician and they would drive it again Friday. Well I never got another call, so I called that Monday and they once again said they couldn't hear anything so I could pick it up. I go and review the paperwork that morning and noticed the odometer only reflected one day of driving based on the drivewise device in my car. I pointed it out to the cashier and she got the technician and we did a test drive together. First thing we get in the car and he literally admitted they only drove it 1 day! I pointed out the noise and he said he knew what it was and would fix it. Well, I called Wednesday afternoon when they said it would be done and go to pick it up. I leave the parking lot and it still had the same noise. Unbelievable when I literally pointed out the issue. I really wanted to give them a good review, but I'll never be back there and will tell others to avoid them. read more

I was sitting up there for 2hrs of my time and didn't found out that they couldn't install my door reflector until I went to the cashier to check out no one had the courtesy to inform me about the situation... .. until I inquired about what was going on because the deflectors wasn't on my car doors ,coming to find out they either broken them when tryna to install them or as they said they were delivered defected so they had to reorder them.. unprofessional process!!! Couldn't be happier. Had an issue with a 2015 Silverado 3500, purchased 2 weeks earlier (from another dealer). Called Monday at 6pm to see if they could get me in, had an appointment for 8:30 Tuesday morning. By 2pm, the truck was fixed, under warranty!!! Other dealers were unable to look at the truck until Thursday. I pass 2 other dealers on my 35 mile drive here. Will use Bill Estes in the future for all my needs, highly recommended!!
