I was on a long triad trip going South, when all of a sudden my civic suddenly started losing oil pressure. I pulled into Ed Martin and gave them my story at service department. They immediately started troubleshooting my car, found the issue, repaired, and I was on the road in 2 hours. I can't thank them enough! Price was reasonable too, can't be mad at it! Thank you guys and gals! You allowed me to make it home with family before the fireworks! read more

If it hadn't been for a particular in-person visit, my review for Ed Martin Honda would likely be a 2-star experience. My car had an unexpected death about three weeks ago. As a wheelchair using driver, it's not particularly quick or easy to identify an appropriate vehicle that will meet my needs. I don't drive a van. I typically have driven a 2-door automatic, however, it has to have enough room between the driver's seat and the door frame that I can put my wheelchair, when folded, in the backseat. When I was younger, these were easy to find. These days? Not so much. I first called Ed Martin Honda as I was curious about a used Honda Civic. I'd had a Civic before, but cars change over the years and I wanted to make sure. I was transferred multiple times trying to find basic answers about the vehicle. At one point, I simply asked if they could measure the space I needed to know about as I'd been able to determine how much room I needed. It was really basic customer service, and they just wouldn't do it. Majorly dropped ball. Somewhat on the flip side, I did an in-person visit and the sales rep definitely went out of the way to let me try a couple of the vehicles. I was definitely impressed, and there was a definite effort to try to think of vehicles that would actually work. That was good customer service, though we didn't actually find a vehicle. For the record, I ended up buying a Honda. If that original associate had been more helpful who knows what could have happened? I learned that both the Civic and the Accord would work (coupe versions, so slightly older). I ended up with an Accord that I'm anxiously waiting for it to arrive. This was a solid mid-range experience, though somewhat disappointing given I've generally heard great things about Martin's customer service. Phone call? Disappointing. In-person? Much better. Overall, I'd still probably return for future needs. read more

I brought my car in for an oil change, tire rotation, etc. on a Saturday morning and was told that the wait would be a couple hours. The service department called me after closing (5+ hours later) to inform me my car was finished and I could pick up my car on Monday morning. There was no mention of the possibility of going without my car for the rest of the weekend. Communication was extremely poor. When I called to speak with the service manager the following week they told me he would reach out to me when he got into work. I called back later in the day and the manager had not spoken to anyone about the situation. Furthermore, I was told I would me mailed a check by the end of the week for a discount that was not applied to my final bill...the week has gone by and I am still waiting for a check for over $100. The manager told me he would call me to see if I received the check, this also did not happen. My experience at this location is that they over promise and underdeliver. I will not be bringing my car back for service. read more

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my significant concern and deep dissatisfaction regarding the current operational procedures within your service department, particularly concerning urgent customer support. My recent experience has highlighted what appears to be a critical gap in your ability to address immediate service needs. Upon attempting to secure assistance for a pressing issue, I was informed that the earliest availability for service was an alarming one to two weeks out. This extended timeframe is not merely an inconvenience; it poses a serious safety risk for customers who may find themselves in a vulnerable position, especially when far from home and requiring prompt attention to ensure their safe return journey. It is particularly disheartening to encounter such a prolonged waiting period, which gives the impression of a lack of contingency for critical situations where customer safety might be compromised. The inability to provide timely support in such circumstances suggests a profound lack of compassion for the predicament customers may face. read more

I love there service department this review is not about them but rather their sales department. Your employee Jerry Uwotah Proceeded to show me 2 HRVs, what I asked for one was a white 2026 with huge dent in the hood, but that dent was "okay" because "we upgraded the leather seats and painted the wheels" . Then showed me another red HRV and wanted to down talk us. I'm sorry but your 30k car can sit on the lot and rot! I've been looking at different dealerships but I will NOT come back here to buy ever! Hateful, ignorant and arrogant! If this is who you hire like Jerry Uwotah. Then count us out! Wanting to down talk my 2011 CRV and SLAPPED OUR TRUCK HOW DISRESPECTFUL! I was wanting to test drive something here but with the amount of pushiness from this man. I think I'd be better off buying a Ford. I cannot tell you how disrespected I feel. I can guarantee you though if I had brought a man this would NOT have been the same interaction. But to seriously SLAP on our new truck and laugh. I bet you won't fix our truck if he had damaged it. Felt completely uncomfortable, disrespected, and overall down talked. Please fire this dude and get a reality check my lord. read more

Bought a 2012 CRV. The rear break bolts were left off. I found out later that the rear brake caliper needed replacing. I asked for touch up paint. I trusted the salesman Orlando, as this was the third vehicle. The touch up paint he gave me is the wrong color!! Buyer be ware, don't spend your hard earned money at Ed Martin. Go to Tom Wood, they do what they say without any hassle. And have a great warranty on used vehicles. read more

I have been taking my car to Hare Honda in Avon for the past few years, but after the quality of their customer service declined I had decided it was time for me to find a new dealer to go to. Ed Martin was very easy to work with, quick response and their service was fast and efficient. In the waiting area there was keurig machine and they had many different types of coffee pods which was nice :) read more

Quality, dependability and good, effective customer service is almost nonexistent. They do not do a good job of checking out their used vehicles and insuring that they are good useable condition. Their staff is "nice" but not committed to making your purchase a good experience. More concerned about what works for them and not you! read more

We will NEVER take our car here or recommend anyone taking their car there to get fixed. After having our car for a total of 2 months and spending over $5000 they couldn't figure out why the check engine light was still on. We had to take our car to another place to get fixed and guess what, the check engine light is off and they only had our car for one day. read more

Had an appointment at 9:30, arrived and after waiting about 30 minutes in line was told it would be 1 1/2 hour wait. Asked why make an appointment if I had to wait and it was explained that they overbook per new policies. Sad as this used to be an excellent dealership, left without waiting and will not purchase my next Pilot from this dealership. read more

My husband and I were thinking about trading in our 10 year old Traverse for a new Odyssey. while in Indy for a dance competition - we popped into Ed Martin Honda to just browse and maybe test drive a new Odyssey. After our test drive we knew that's what we wanted to buy and started talking numbers. Mind you, we live 3 hours from Indy, but Mahommed and Pat at Ed Martin made us such a great deal we couldn't pass it up. We left after the test drive so we could think things over and when the dance competition ended - we drove 3 hours home in my Traverse. The next day - I was texting Pat to see about getting a red one instead of the white one we test drove. In less than 24 hours - he got a red one for me and we drive 3 hours back over and bought it! It was a great experience from start to finish. THANKS MAHOMMED AND PAT from Ed Martin Honda on Shadeland in Indy! read more

For all those who tread on for weeks or even months after their service light goes on...I'm one of you. This apprehension has roots in the fear of being swindled by malfeasant shops. I finally decided to pick up the phone and face my demons...the appointment was setup and off I went. Apparently I messed up somewhere along the way because on Thursday morning I was told I didn't have an appointment for that day, I guess I missed the day. Herschel was generous and let me know that as long as I was patient, I would be able to get my car serviced regardless. He explained each estimated cost after I gave him the rundown of what I needed. He walked me over to the lounge area, what great white glove service. Lounge is decent in roominess and refreshments provided. I was able to get some work done while I waited. Different service reps came in at different times to provide updates to the customers they were working with but they also constantly checked up on everyone else in the lounge too. The energy was great and my wait was not long at all. No surprises, no scams. I received great service and will be back whenever my light comes on again. read more

I called and made an appointment to come look at a specific car at 8:30am on a Saturday. I was assured that they would let me know before they close, if the car sold. When I arrived, I was told that the person I had spoken to neglected to let me know that the car was sold last night. Rob offered to get the manager for me, I said no, your company has disrespected my time, gas money & the physical pain I endured to get there. I had previously explained that I was disabled and this was a long drive. I went on to say that Ed Martin will never see my business because of this disrespect. You have been warned. read more

This finance manager illegally ran my credit without my authorization. I applied for an auto loan directly with Honda Financial. When I received an email with the finance decision I was not able to access the results. Per the email, which stated if there is an issue accessing the results contact a local dealer to get the results. It also stated "Do Not Submit Another Application". I called Ed Martin Honda and spoke with Orlando, explained what the email said and provided him with the code provided by Honda Financial. I was not able to get any information from the dealership, they were attempting to get me to come to the dealership and was not interested in providing me with the information I called about. About a week later as I am reviewing my credit report I find an inquiry from Ed Martin Honda. I never provided any of my personal information, nor did I authorize anyone to run my credit. Submitting a credit application without the parties consent is illegal under both Federal and Indiana Law. Identity Theft and Fraud (18 U.S.C. subsection 1028): Using someone's personal information without their consent to apply for credit can be considered identity theft, which is a federal crime. Purchased my new Civic Sport 2022 here as a 1st time car buyer and couldn't be happier! Sheldon & Ron were excellent. Ron Hammer was my salesmen who gave us direct pricing MSRP with no haggling, he also worked with me on the add ons to ensure I got only what I wanted without forcing any expensive addition items. Sheldon Gottlieb assisted with all my financing and closing processes, he answered all my questions in detail and never patronized me for asking a question. Even if the question may have seemed silly, Sheldon still took his time to explain and ensured I was comfortable from start to finish. Upon final sign off Ron Hammer took me through all the interior features of my new civic including AC, lighting, apple car play, how to switch between eco, normal and sport modes and what each of those meant. I can say without hesitation that this dealership offers the best value, pricing and customer service nation wide. I say this because I personally live in Delray Beach Florida and dealt with over 15 dealerships across the country before finally deciding on Ed martin honda of indianapolis. With the car shortage in 2022 nearly every dealership in he country is charging some type of premium above MSRP or BS required add ons. Ed Martin is one of the only dealers left still selling at TRUE MRSP without any hidden fees or bait and switch's. Their pricing got me in the door, their customer service sealed the deal. I travel over 1,000 miles from Florida just to purchase my car here and it was the best decision I made all year. If you live near this dealer then count yourself blessed. If you live out of state, its still well worth the trip! read more

I originally made an appointment with a salesman and he stood me up. I reluctantly gave a different salesman a chance and he was fantastic. Very honest, professional and didn't attempt to take advantage of me in any way. Pricing was competitive and had no market adjustments. The second salesman (Rob) made it an easy and stress free experience and I would definitely recommend friend and family to him specifically. The original salesman showed up later during my buying process with some ridiculous excuse for why he stood me up. Luckily, it ended in a positive experience. read more

I've been a long time Ed Martin customer. Although, I've not always been able to get the lowest price when purchasing my Honda's, I wouldn't trust anyone else with the service of my vehicles. Most of the service advisors are very friendly and efficient. Our favorites are Kyle and Redd. The Service Manager takes his job very seriously. Every time I've been there, he is at his manager stand supervising or communicating on the phone. I would suggest he smile sometime. He's pretty intense, but probably needs to be in that position. If you got a Honda, this is the place to have it serviced read more

Rating is only for the service center. A few days prior I had noticed my brakes squeaking on my car...never a fun time. I called the service center who unfortunately said they were booked for over a week, but since it was suspected to be my brakes they could try and fit my in as a walk in. I brought my car over and was taken right away. Initially everyone was very brief and curt when I was describing my problem, but I trusted them as professionals and dropped the car off. This service center was able to accept my car, diagnose the problem, order parts, and fix it all within 24 hours! The mechanic called with updates and I feel provided a thorough inspection. Upon picking my car up, everyone was much kinder and everything is sounding back to normal! read more

I was very disappointed with my recent purchase experience with EdMartin. They delayed sending my title and registration paperwork to BMV on time and as a result BMV had charged penalty for late registration. I remember, the dealers promise to send all paperwork on time and they also charge us for doing so during our purchase. I was expecting them to atleast refund me the extra charges i had to pay at the BMV, let alone the delay and all the inconveniences. read more

My son and I were at this dealership last Saturday to look at Honda HRV's. I had spoken to Orlando on the phone so when we arrived we asked for him. He was nice, showed us the HRV's and took us on a test drive. My son liked the car and we made an appointment with Orlando for the next day. He said the time he had available was10:30 to11:00. We came back the next day. We were early and let Orlando know we were there and just looked around until our appointment time. Orlando was bouncing back and forth between two customers tried to help us but couldn't devote his full attention on us. By 11:08 we ready for his full attention that we never received. When you making a big purchase like a new car, the salesperson to give you there full attention. The whole time we were there, two other salespersons were just walking around not helping anyone. I know commission is involed, but if one salesperson is to busy to help then they should have another salesperson step in and help the customer. Needless to say, we did not purchase a car from this dealership. What happen to CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

I am going to start this review by stating that I am not a fan of car dealers typically. I rank them about a step up from lawyers. :) I'm not a fan of the negotiation process. Michael Johnson is a very genuine and kind sales person, and we felt comfortable right away doing business with him. We had a couple of small hiccups in our communication, but at the end of it all, Michael pulled through for us, and helped us get a great deal on a used vehicle for my son. He went above and beyond, by helping us pull a carfax report on another vehicle we were considering, which brought to light some safety concerns and helped with the buying decision. It wasn't done in a weaselly way, but just out of being helpful and of course the desire to make the sale. It instilled trust and I would recommend him if you are in the market for a new or used car from this dealership. Kudos Michael for turning a skeptic into a happy customer! read more

I have finally found a HOnda home in Indianapolis!! This is the only Honda dealership I've found in the Southern Indy area that has given total satisfaction in explaining any and all questions I have about my vehicle! Any yes I can get a bit chatty, Lol! What other dealers couldn't fix, Ed Martin Honda worked their magic and my air conditioning is back blowing "ice" cold and it didn't cost the $1000+ I'd been told by a different dealership! Will faithfully bring my vehicle for service here! Sidenote: The tremendous inventory of new cars and $500 recent graduate special had me contemplating upgrading! read more

I took my 2011 CRV here for the rear trailing arm recall. I called in early June to schedule my appointment for today, July 24th. Ed Martin offered me the soonest appointment out of 3 other dealers in the Indy area I had called. Scott was very friendly on the phone and made sure everything was squared away for me. I called again a few days before my appointment to ask if they could also change my oil while they had the car. Scott was able to add that on for me. Drop off was quick and easy and they provided me a shuttle to work. Cameron called me when they had completed the recall and oil change and informed me that my rear brake pads needed replaced. They didn't try to upcharge me with new rotors and the whole 9-yards. Cameron was great at keeping me informed and they took excellent care of my car, despite being short-staffed today! I will definitely be back for future maintenance! read more

I've had a relationship with this dealership for almost three years and have been consistently happy with every transaction. My first experience was purchasing my commuter car. I had spent a month or more shopping around and was about to make a deal with the Mazda dealership up the road when they tried to pull a fast one and alter the terms of our deal at the last minute. I walked out of that dealership and into Ed Martin. An hour later, I got an excellent deal on my new Civic! After the failed deal up the road, this felt like the clouds parting after an awful storm. I have used Ed Martin for all of my scheduled maintenance and have never had a single problem. The pricing is fair, the people are friendly, and the work is done right! My latest experience was with the collision center and it really made my day. Not only did they come in below the estimate (I didn't think that was possible) but they also cleaned the interior of my car so well that I had to look closely to notice it hadn't been detailed!!! I plan to keep coming back. read more

Was on a 3,000 mile road trip and had an issue with my car about 300 miles from home. This was on a Saturday early afternoon (most places close early on Saturday and aren't open Sundays) so it was really important for me to get it fixed right away or I'd be spending a few extra nights in Indianapolis unexpectedly. I was't even sure my car would make it to a shop so I called around looking for a guarantee that someone could get to my car the same day. This was the only place that said if I could get to them right away they could have my car done before they closed. Cameron was incredibly helpful. They got my car done in time as promised. Price was good. Confident the whole way. If I lived in Indiana I would bring my car to them for all future maintenance. read more

I purchased two new Honda CRVS from them over the years and I like doing business with them. Redd and Dwayne were awesome! My mom and I were on a roadtrip from Oklahoma to Toronto and our entire drivers side wheel well liner and underbody deflector ripped off the car while we were on the highway. We stopped by at Ed Martin, gave them the situation and they were extremely helpful! Redd did what he could to make sure we were ganna make it to our destination safe and told us what parts we're ganna need to replace when we get home. He checked around the whole car, looked underneath our bumper and told us what parts would need servicing and rough cost estimates but thankfully none of those parts would hinder our drive. He was kind enough to replace a stem valve we were missing on one of the tires and answer any questions we had (ie fill the tires with the psi found on the doorway and not on the actual tire) before he wished us luck and we went back on the road! We were a little scared to go to a Honda dealership while on a time crunch from the roadtrip and that they'd try to sell us maintenance that would take too long but that wasn't the case. They were understanding of our situation and got everything done quickly! read more

I loved my salesperson, he knew about the car, answered all of my questions and didn't feed me any BS or try and pressure me into making a purchase on the first visit. When I returned I was happy to have him draw up the papers for me to buy a new Honda CR-V. Everything went smoothly until I had to meet with the Finance Manager who only talked about my car loan for about 30 seconds and went straight into a 30 minute speech about how cars are more complicated and how I need to get extended warranties and protection for the drive train, the paint job, the tires.. She was difficult to interrupt and I ended up having to listen to all of it. After a couple polite no's and no thank you's her tone quickly turned from sales person, to "you're an idiot for not listening to my advice." If you come here to buy a car, just ask the sales person to ask the "Finance" manager to skip the warranty discussion or you won't buy the car. Happy with my vehicle, the salesmen, and the price.. but the Warranty Sealesperson / Finance Manager was a chore. read more
