My Prius had the message, "check hybrid system" so I immediately went to Professional Automotive and asked Brandon. He came out to the car and told me the possible things that could be wrong and how much it would cost, and advised me what to do with my Prius. He also said to go to Toyota and ask them. When I went to Toyota, they wanted $200 to run diagnostics! I cannot say enough good things about Professional Automotive! they are honest and always helpful. read more

Professional Automotive - This is the hole they said they couldn't fix - Auto Repair Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

So with my luck, my car battery died, and decided to have it towed to the nearest place I could find, love Indy but you need a car to function if you don't live downtown. They were quick and friendly, and even sent me an electronic way to pay and allowed me to pick up after hours which was great! Glad to know they are there if I ever need them again! read more

Friendly; professional; fair priced; did exactly what they said they do and no more. Had recommendations which were appreciated. read more

We took our car there for an oil change and a diagnostic, after which the check engine light came back on the next day. The car then sat in a garage until we got a new tire about a week later; and then it died on my way into work the next day. When I talked to James I was informed that "time had passed" Thanks for the phone number that nevwe seems to get answered. Looks like you tried to help without actually helping. Similar to how I suspect you billed me for diagnostics and never diagnosed **** read more

This is my one stop shop for all my car needs! Brandon & his guys work hard and efficiently! This has been truly the most easy going & honest car shop I have been to. I had been to another shop that told me I need new brakes, and after bringing it to Brandon he told me they looked brand new! That's what sold me in on this place; their honesty! I appreciate their hard work and dedication to getting their customers needs met in a cost effective and timely manner. Also, have you seen the price of their full synthetic oil change? You literally can't beat it! I won't be going anywhere else besides Professional Automotive for all my car needs. read more

I will not be returning for service as I let them replace the battery in my Buick and though it is an unorthodox replacement, I am not a mechanic and I did it. I was charged $273.83 in labor which says that it took them close to 2 hours to exchange a battery???!! Either they don't know what they're doing or I'm being gouged. I understand that this is a Christian business which leaves me confused. Clearly, this passage from Galatians must be glued shut in their bible: 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. I was not happy with the outcome and Brandon Farris didn't seem to care, I will not be recommending this company to anyone. So disappointed. read more

My wife and I just discovered these guys. Seriously one of the best auto shops in the area that we've experienced. Brandon took the time to learn our names and his personal service is unmatched by other shops we've used. The team at Professional Automotive provides great service, is reliable and sticks to their promised schedule. They did some major work on my Trailblazer a few weeks ago and everything went very smoothly. I just stopped in this morning for a scheduled oil change on our van and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. We are definitely a Professional Automotive household now. Bonus: the waiting area at Professional Automotive is super nice. I almost hated for the oil change to done so early. Was just getting comfortable with my book in one of their big comfy chairs! read more

Been using these guys over 12 years now. Even when I lived out of state in Tennessee, Texas and Louisiana (hubby was military) I would always bring my cars in for an oil change and any repair that I needed when I came home to visit. They would let me know what I needed to fix ASAP or what I was looking to have to do in the future. They would even give me advice over the phone when I lived to far away. Brandon who works the front desk is awesome. If you're looking for an honest mechanic shop I highly recommend them. They've even told me when it's not worth fixing my car and I should be looking to replace a vehicle. read more

Went in there to get an oil change and was treated with nothing but disrespect. They are not willing to work with you to get your problem fixed. If you are looking for a good service with a good customer service do not go here. read more

I came here a couple weeks ago to get my oil changed. So the technician that changed my oil didn't unscrew the bottom of my car but instead pull it down to we're it broke. As I was driving it starts dragging on the ground. Highly upset! read more

I have been taking several of my vehicles, including my Corvette, to Professional Automotive for at least five years. I've never had an experience there where Brandon was anything less than 100% professional and courteous. Same for the work that the technicians do, it has always been top quality. Pricing is toward the higher end but you get what you pay for. I'm not sure what transpired to raise people's frustration levels but some of these Yelp reviews of Professional Automotive are pretty bad (although they are primarily older than 5 years). I personally disagree with them and would have no problem recommending Professional Automotive to anyone looking for a reputable auto repair shop. read more

Have taken two cars to this shop recently and not satisfied either time. Called to discuss with the owner instead of posting poor review, but the service advisor would not let me talk with or email the owner. In both situations they advised total replacement of systems instead of considering repairs. Advised $9000 engine repair (fixed at another shop for $700), and $3000 air-conditioning system replacement. read more

Fantastic. Brandon and his team did everything well and gave great advice. Honest and hardworking they go the extra mile.

After being customer for 16 years it is time to move on. This shop was great when Matt was a manager. There was a time when they even picked up and dropped off their customers (no more). The service is good don't get me wrong, but they will start pushing extra services for top, premium dollar which are not necessary, so buyer beware. Prices gradually increase which is normal, but this shop starts charging arm and leg lately aggressively overcharging. Let me explain by giving you last encounter. I have older Honda Civic 2006 which acceleration is slowly declined as it has 200K on odometer, I took it in for diagnostics. Their policy always was if I performed actual repairs in their shop after diagnostics the diagnostics fee is waived. Brandon called me and explained they couldn't find the problem, but advise the change the coolant sensor which requires to drain coolant change sensor fix connector and add new coolant. And this will cost $650! Really $650 ??? The sensor is $20 part 2 gallons of coolant $20 plus labor maybe half hour. Let's say they charge labor for an hour $100 be around $140, even total $200 would be reasonable. But $650 for such a simple job, really? I declined this service, but agreed to to fuel system cleaning / tune-up ($150) in hopes that it may improve acceleration (which it didn't, but that's on me), by agreeing to this I was expecting that diagnostics fee will be waived since I agreed to perform service there. After arriving and at car picking Brandon says they need to charge me $98 diagnostics fee. After telling him that I never been charged diagnostics fee before if they perform service there Brandon loudly and aggressively started to argue with me (no more great customer service) that he ALWAYS charge diagnostics fee and never waives it. I said that was not true even last year when I was there. So he agreed to look up previous orders and there we go, only few work orders we looked up shows $0 diagnostics. He suddenly starts back pedaling and says that only on specific jobs he waives the diagnostics fee and starts ranting that he need to pay his guys top dollar and etc. again loudly and aggressively. So I paid $250 for fuel system tune-up and they didn't find anything wrong with acceleration and left. Is that a reasonable charge ? There are better quality and cheaper priced shops elsewhere. Professional Automotive charge 3 to 5 times more than every other auto shop and pushing unnecessary services. Buyer beware! Brandon I'll add some links for you to see if Yelp allows them here for comparison so you understand how much you overcharge your customers! Professional Automotive is going to be my new go-to place for car repairs. Hoping I won't become a regular by any means, but they took such good care of me and my car that I couldn't be more excited about finding them. My cousins boyfriend actually referred them to me. Said he has gone there for years. And knew I have been having some car issues. Strange knocking noise from under the hood. Professional Automotive was the third place I took my car, per my boyfriend and fathers advice, I got a couple opinions/pricing options. They diagnosed my car, gave me a reasonable/competitive price, provided me with outstanding customer service and got the job done on time. We were able to arrange for me to get my car even though I couldn't be there until after hours, and now it runs great! I mainly dealt with Brandon, who is fantastic on all counts! He was informative, friendly and walked me through everything. Professional Automotive is not only great from a mechanical standpoint, but also at providing quality customer service! read more

Pros: Clean shop, convenient location, responsive team Cons: Quoting $2500+ to replace a turbo on a Chevy Cruze that I was able to bring to a dealership and get done for $1500 ($500 higher on parts, $500 higher on service). Wasted my time and $100 on diagnostics. Seems like others have had better success with these guys for oil changes. I would avoid any major repairs. read more

I wish I could select 0 stars...I've gone year for YEARS, my whole family has actually. I always liked dealing with Brandon and felt he was one of the honest ones. However, I took my car in last Friday, October 4th 2019, for a simple oils change on my 2017 Mazda 6. When I picked it up that evening my steering wheel was scraped all down the left side...slices and cuts all down about half the length of it. Brandon acknowledges it, but claimed maybe it was poor timing and it was just the "leather cracking due to age" (its a two year old car I bought brand new) and asked that I file the claim with Mazda and if they would not fix it, he would. I went to him yesterday, October 8th 2019, and said Mazda denied the claim, because it was clearly evident the wheel was scraped with a ring or watch or set of keys. Honestly, it is pretty obviously rubbed/scraped in the damaged area...it's not age or cracking, as the rest of the wheel is fine even though I hold the other areas so much more. When I explained this to him, he denied having ever said he would take care of it if Mazda did not, and that him and the owner decided he could not do anything about it because I had no proof it was them.. How could I have proof? Who takes pictures of their upholstery before taking they care to get an oil change to the place they've taken every car their family has owned for years?? Worst customer service I've ever experienced..especially as a loyal customer and a bogus claim that the age and wear on my very carefully upheld 2 year old car was the problem. Absolute trash. Go somewhere else. read more

I take my car here for everything. From oil changes to completely new brakes. I find the prices to be more than fair, and the staff is incredible. They are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and they strive to keep you as a client. The waiting room is lovely and cozy. I have felt right at home even bringing my baby with me to wait. The entire place is clean and organized. I plan on going back to them as long as I need to. Brandon and Matt are awesome! read more

Our family discovered Professional Automotive when they donated oil change cards to a local school fundraiser. We have now been coming to Brandon for our oil changes and various vehicle maintence/repair needs are couldn't be happier! Brandon won't recommend work that he doesnt think is necessary and also is honest in his communications, explaining and educating you along the way. They warranty their work. There have a very nice waiting area with Wi-Fi and a few basic refreshments. We highly recommend Brandon and will continue to come here for our automotive needs. read more

Oil change done in 20 minutes, very reasonably priced. They will handle my repair needs in the future.

Knowlegable, service oriented, itemized receipts, quick service, trustworthy A+ business! Ive taken numerous cars to Pro and they have always been top notch service with competitive pricing, itemized receipts, conveniently located and knowledgable in what has happened to my vehicle! 5 stars easily! read more

Excellent Service! Polite! First time here. I had oil change service and tire rotation. Convenient location.

These people will rip you off. Not only will Brandon lie to you, but the owner will back him! They overcharge for everything. They will charge you for part replacements but not actually replace the part. Then they will provide playback video of the alleged repair, but the recording is such bad quality that you can't even make out the mechanic or the vehicle. I spent over $1,000 for labor/parts and multiple days of my vehicle in their shop and NOTHING was ever repaired! After weeks of frustration dealing with Pro Auto, I took my vehicle to a different shop, where they replaced the parts and fixed my vehicle for a couple hundred bucks and in only 2 hours! Pro Auto, this "faith-based" auto shop, is just a wolf in sheep's clothing, another money-making rip-off location. There are too many other shops to use, save yourself people and go anywhere else!!! read more

Facilities, waiting room, and amenities are very nice, the staff is very friendly and polite, and the coupons available from various services are generous BUT... Misdiagnosed my vehicle, quoting me ~$900 in repairs. A 2nd opinion, from a different mechanic shop recommended by family friends, revealed none of the items quoted were in need of repair but rather another part was in need of replacement to the tune of only ~$150. Definitely earns the 1-star "Eek! Methinks not" yelp rating. read more

Do not go to here for any automotive service they will bait and switch try to rip you off. They are several other automotive service centers that are honest and care for you as a customer must be trying to pay for their remodel read more

Professional Automotive - Auto Repair Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

We were driving through Indianapolis on a road trip and noticed fluid leaking from under the car. We stopped at professional automotive and on the spot a mechanic looked at our car. He let us know it was condensation and nothing to worry about. Great place, really friendly people, if we lived in Indy we would definitely come here! read more

I originally had a 5 star review here. I took my shop in a year ago, almost to the day, to get my alternator fixed. It got fixed (expensively, but I trusted the establishment), and all was good. Until this week when, unexpectedly, my power steering went out midturn, almost causing me to crash. Then my car wouldn't start again. What was the problem? It was a bad alternator! The stop literally gave me a bad/poorly refurbished alternator (charging me hundreds for the parts alone), which lasted less than a full year. As much as I like to support mom and pop companies, don't waste your money and possibly endanger your family (luckily I didn't crash when my lack of power steering froze up my steering wheel) by going into this shop. read more

I had an oil change with Professional Automotive this morning, and I can say that these guys are the best auto shop I have ever been to. The employees are the nicest I have encountered, and their focus is on helping you, not upselling useless parts. They work quickly, and are very knowledgeable. I will be using Professional Automotive exclusively in the future. read more

In the past, I've received great service at Professional Automotive. Waiting for my car work to be completed wasn't a headache at all--they have a comfortable waiting room, complimentary snacks and nice restroom. However, last fall when I had my brakes replaced there, I asked a technician about the looseness of my steering wheel--it hadn't seemed right. I was told there was nothing wrong and trusted the judgment of the Professional Automotive employee. Recently though, I was at my dealership for some recall items on my car, and I asked about the same looseness in the steering wheel. They immediately recognized that a $5 part is worn out, and told me unfortunately, because the part and labor were just passed warranty, it would cost $280 to fix because of the labor time involved. Had the service technician at Professional Automotive, who works on any number of makes of cars, recognized the steering column coupling was worn out when I asked him about it last fall, my repair would have been covered under my warranty and would have been replaced at no charge. However, because I was shortly passed my warranty date when the dealership technician could easily tell me what was wrong, the cost will not be covered. I relied upon the knowledge of the Professional Automotive technician and they made an error which they are unwilling to fix. I was offered a "discount" to have the coupling replacement done at Professional Automotive, but I believe they should be responsible for the entire replacement. Had they been knowledgeable enough, I would have had my repair done well before my warranty expired. They were unwilling to do a minor fix in order to keep what had been a very satisfied customer. $280 should have been worth keeping any customer's business and referrals when the mistake was on their part. I am highly disappointed and will no longer go to or recommend Professional Automotive to any of my friends or neighbors. read more
