Avon is blessed by the team at Advance! Our family van had the alternator die on us on Highway 70. I called around to find out where to get towed and God parted the clouds when we called Advance - Anna and Stacey made the choice clear. We got towed to Advance and they were able to work us in same day! Patrick dove right in. While we waited, our kids got to enjoy hot chocolate, sit on a comfy couch, and watch a movie. Most car repair shops are sterile with hard backed chairs and the smell of oil on linoleum. Advance was the opposite. While the blizzard raged, it felt like a ski lodge moment (after what we'd been through) The entire time we felt taken care of and understood. They put in extra care to get us back on the road as quick as possible. We are back on the road, but wishing every car repair shop was like this! My driver window motor was going out. I got on the schedule within two days. Once I got here I was welcomed and they gladly called my warranty company to make sure everything was covered. I had to wait approximately two hours but it didn't feel like too long as they kept coming and updating me on what they were seeing. Went to get my catalytic converters changed. Was offered two prices. 2300, and 1900. Waited 2, going on 3 weeks for the parts. Was told that the parts were ordered from ebay and that the supplier did not know where the part was at. Went to get my truck to take somewhere else and Anna had the nastiest attitude. Told me thats why they don't try to do nice things for people because it always backfires and that I should have paid the 2300.00 price because I would have had my truck same day. She is super rude disrespectful and imo racist because she talked down to me as if I was broke. not to mention she ignored my calls a couple of days out of the week when I called to check on the part. I know this because I called from a different phone and she picked up right away..... Howard from what I know is a great guy but his business is being ruined by Anna... My Jeep Cherokee died multiple times on me. I only had the car for a year and had to take it to the dealership five times. They kept giving me the runaround. I finally took it to Advance Automotive. They figured out that the dealership put a faulty battery in my truck. The truck has been running smoothly ever since. Not only did they take the time to troubleshoot the issue, but the staff is a friendly group. They are welcoming and have excellent customer service. I'm not sure how I feel about them after my last visit. I am dropping a star. I received a quote of $500 to have my front brakes serviced. A local tire shop in Brownsburg quoted $280 for the same service. That is a very, very large difference. They did price match for me, and they did quality work. I am updating my review so that others are aware that they may want to shop around on brake work before accepting their quote. read more

They did unauthorized work on my daughter's car. Was only willing to use a $50 coupon (which is available to anyone) for refund or to put old part back on. Why would we trust them to do that? Shouldn't have to pay for unauthorized work ($300-350) done to car. read more

A quick update on Advance Automotive, I took it back in to them because I was having issues getting my car started. I waited around for an entire day on Thursday for them to get to my car and was told that they wouldn't be able to get to it 'til Friday. They took a look at it on Fri. morning and said the problem was an electrical one with the aftermarket remote start and they said that they didn't work on those and referred me to a different shop. No charge for the diagnostic which I am thankful to Sean for but instead of the referral I was given I went to Extreme Auto Sales & Service instead which I am quite thankful for. read more

Once again, Advanced Auto has came through. I had a busy day planned and went out to my car to start it. It would start for about a second and then turn its self off. Sean and Anna both told me it would probably be ok from the "phone diagonisis" I got the vehicle to them and they had it back to me in no time. Turns out it was just the battery in the key that prevented it to recognize it and it was an anti theft issue. They saved the day and didn't even charge me. They know I'm not going anywhere. settled on a repair cost and they called back and said they found a part that was broke but they'd replace it at cost and no labor. it was a non-moving part. so who broke it, then? an old school shop would've taken responsibility for it. it could have been brazed back as good as new for a few pennies, but they bought a new one and charged me for it. read more

Very disappointed. I spent $1,500 for a repair there. One week later it broke, but their warranty "only covered the parts", so I had to pay another $640 to fix their mistake again. Once they got you over the barrel, you have to pay. Beware! read more
