I've trusted this repair shop for at least a decade. Yesterday I took a car there purchased "as is" with an incomplete maintenance history. The dealership outlined repairs costing several thousands of dollars. After paying for an inspection ($10 to $22-ish depending on whether you're a Firestone credit card holder) to determine the car's immediate issues vs. longer term repairs, it was hundreds not thousands. After the inspection I was emailed their findings with an itemized cost estimate. There are additional discounts and special pricing for Firestone credit card holders. Over the years, I've found those deals helpful for tires. My review is specific to this Firestone location. Locally, this the only Firestone I have experienced. I've visited other locations out of town and had good experiences because they can look at my car's repair history. That's another benefit. read more

I honestly don't trust my vehicles anywhere else (we've tried quite a few of the shops around Castleton). Myk is always great to work with, and we've actually established a great relationship (I've got my own nickname and everything). Myk has never tried to upsell me on nonsense repairs for my kids beater cars (even though that's their job, to sell stuff), just getting them fixed and running. I'm sure everyone has a bad experience with someone they do business with, but we trust that if something happens after the fact, they will take care of it and make things right. I dropped my car off about last November 2022 for new tires, calipers, oil change, and a few other fixes. When I picked the car up, the check tire pressure light was constantly flashing, so I went back in and the manager said "I told them to check that out before you got here." I don't understand why I was called to pick it up if there was still work to be done. Since this visit my car has been driving louder. The splash guard fell and was dragging and I couldn't find the right part so I went to the Honda dealer and they informed me that the entire lower engine cover was missing. This is the part you would take off to change oil, and is large (and metal) enough you'd notice if it fell off. I called Firestone to see what they knew. The tech doesn't remember not putting it back on. Their records state I did have the lower engine cover prior to my last visit there, but per them, this does not indicate that they neglected to put it back on. Again, this piece was there before my visit, is gone now, and is big enough that I'd notice if it fell. The manager would not call me back to even discuss it and I had to pay $200+ to have it replaced at the dealer. Because it was STILL making noise (in January now), I brought it back to honda, who informed me the caliper was leaking. Because it was on warranty at Firestone (just replaced in November) I brought it back, had their 'brake specialist' look it over, and said it was an issue with the washer. Spoiler alert- it STILL made noise. Now back at Honda, it turns out Firestone neglected to put all of the screws in place in the caliper so it was swinging and making noise. Even double checking it they missed this. Their social media liaison responded to my google review and after a couple of MONTHS of correspondence and my reaching out for updates several times the regional Firestone manager reached out to me. They reimbursed for the splash guard and I will be submitting my newest honda invoice to him as well. Save your time and your money. Do not go here. read more

I had thousands of dollars of work done here only to have my check engine light come back on a few months later about issues related to this same work. They denied any liability and I still had to pay $130. The manager was a jerk from the second I answered the phone. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

My normal dealership was booked up, so I decided to get a routine maintenance at this location. I visited the website and saw a special for 29.99. I downloaded the coupon that prompted me to schedule. My service would be for oil change and tire rotation. The day of visit I checked in I'm there for a basic oil change only to be charged 150 dollars FOR AN OIL CHANGE! I was told my vehicle doesn't use the type of oil that the special covers. Well I should have been made aware of this in advance. I have never paid this much. The dealership is a 5 star and doesn't even charge this amount. The location never even discussed they would be giving me whatever they wanted to and not even giving me any options!! I will never use this place again and I'm warning others. His excuse was oil prices have went up. And to make matters worst they didn't even have coffee tea water nothing at all in the waiting area. Just all around pppr customer service. read more

Took my car to be serviced for AC. It was a lengthy repair as I was told the leak was behind the dash and had to be taken apart and put back together. I received my car a week later with the air conditioner working. It was a short lived success in the middle of summer. 3 weeks later my air began to blow warm. I took my car back stating that I was a previous customer a month ago, the employee asked for my phone number in order to find the account and could not locate the service that had done. I then asked what am I to do, only to be followed with the employee shrugging their shoulders stating that it's not their fault that they were told the wrong information. It couldn't be the wrong information as I was billed $1,100 for the service that they can't find in their system and still without AC. This was a terrible experience, complete lack of knowledge and compassion. Customer service was lack luster and beyond poor. Please save yourself the frustration and disappointment with this location. read more

I had a flat tire that I need replaced and out of ANY time that I've needed a flat changed, they were the quickest, kindest most affordable. They also fixed part of my battery terminal that no other car place has been able to fix, saying it's "too old" or "isn't worth fixing," and now I finally don't have to worry about my car randomly dying anymore. Been a loyal customer of this Firestone shop by Castleton Mall for many years and multiple autos but will be my last. Very rude staff especially Mike arguing with a customer when just asking questions. Spoke with Manager Jeff and did nothing because "he wasn't up front to see what happened"??? Days of being nice to customers and customers are always right are long gone with this place. I guess business must be great but lost mine and by the judge of the other reviews, they may be out of business soon anyway! read more

I don't typically have issue with most Firestone locations but this one in particular has a dude working there that just by watching his demeanor, you can tell he doesn't really care whether he does a good job or not. I've been here twice and both times he just changed the oil. Didn't top off fluids (but marked that he did). Didn't check tire pressure (but marked that he did). It's a shame because most people Firestone employs actually care. I guess to this guy, it's just a paycheck. read more

These guys do a great job!! I've had a flat tire (from potholes of course) that was included in my warranty and they took care of everything and fit me right in to their busy schedule. The customer service is top notch as well. Would definitely recommend for your tire and tune up needs! read more

Brock The store manager keeps on deleting, What does that tell you!!! Do not use Firestone!!! Take the time to send a review when you have an issue!! We will get them to either change their ways or shut them down to Tires only!!!! My drivable S10 blazer was in for rear noise and has lifetime wheel alignment. They came back with rear differential needing service and that they do not do. Also you think they would note ( to cover themselves) on work order that they had to open the hood with pliers because the hood latch release was broke when I went to open the next time needed. Still had a slight noise on backing out of drive only after alignment. Took to Car-X, my rear end noise was the wheel bearing not the rear differential as Castleton Firestone stated, replaced and is fine. Called Corporate to talk to the regional rep, one issue is the lack of master mechanics!! So corp or supposedly corp wanted the store manager to deal with my issue or that what Brock the store manager stated when I said I will call corp back if I dont get a call from Reg, Rep. Wanted to address Westfield store that quoted over $1300,00 of alignment parts on 8/2021, took car too the Castleton Store, (still had Master Mech at the time, Aligned blazer with no parts needed. All suspension parts were replaced 12/2019 so I new quote was incorrect and when I called the Westfield store back, Tech that did the quote was no longer with the company. Gave my concerns to Brock, all he could do is apologize as this was not his store. My concern on the alignment was the tech only spent 20 minutes doing the alignment and still had the minimal noise issue and brought up the hood release. When asking which Firestone (master mechanic) I should take my vehicle to he was all over the place! Suggesting other locations then came back to the Castleton store. So again I brought my drivable Blazer back to them, They brought me out to the vehicle and pointed out the inner/outer tie rods with connection sleeve along with the steering bar that connects the front wheels together was bad along with I had a front differential problem.   Had an issue with Brent as I called him out on the information he provided!  Stated sounds like your talking out your ass when mentioning that he never told me I had a problem with my rear differential. Written on my invoice rear diff needs service! So they chose to refund my lifetime for my harsh words. Driving back to work after they looked at it Blazer was severely pulling to the right and had to hold the steering hard left to drive straight. Took back to Car-X, They found both tie intermediate sections loose! This piece holds the outer and inner tie rods together. So my harsh words this is what I get!!!  Can you believe it! Car-X aligned with no parts needed!!! They fall short as mechanics! Best to use only for tires only change! OH and make sure your hood opens, the trunk opens, etc spend 30mins before you leave!!!! Keep the review coming, We need to shut them down!!! Or go to tires only!! I will be seeing if the news would like to cover it!! They way I stated it to Brock, How would you like for your mother to get that $1300.00 estimate!!!! Coming for you!! read more

I had an apt and waited around over an hour for my car to not even be taken in! I was the only person waiting! If someone drops a vehicle off and someone is waiting on one the person waiting should be taken care of before any other. Brought my vehicle in with some problems and they said they could fix it. So they kept it for a few days, then call me telling me they needed it an extra day. Ok. Extra day passes so I go to pick it up, pay them, and as I'm driving away it wasn't even 10 minutes and still had the same issues. It's as if they didn't even touch it. First: thank you for helping my daughter out. I use Firestone in Northern Illinois on a regular bases. (Me my Wife and Kids Car 4 total) Always found their service to be great. On a recent trip that my daughter made to another state was interrupted by a dragging noise (found to be lower engine protective cover came loose) She exited when she saw Firestone sign for repair. They were concerned about her driving late and rushed her rite in and fixed the problem and said no cost, she was on her way within the hour. I ran over a nail near some of the new construction near Allisonville Road and got a tow to this Firestone location. I had gone to another firestone location in the past, and was pleasantly surprised that they were able to pull up all of my history as I wasn't sure when the last time I got tires and also if I had purchased any warranties on it. The woman at the front desk was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I assumed that they would make me get all 4 tires changed (as that is typically what happens when one tire goes out at least for me) but the woman walked me through why I only need to change two of my four tires. I was very grateful because that would have added another $400 if I got all four tires changed. Bottom line, I felt very confident that the employees here were looking out for my best interests, and not for their wallets! read more

I hit a pothole around 11:30 pm on Memorial Day and messed up the same tire I had just gotten replaced about a 2 months ago. OMG indianapolis....I'm so glad I got a tire warranty on my new car! I think a lady named Rebecca helped me this time and she was very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease like I was in good hands. I believe her card said she was the store manager. Service was great, but the only downfall is when you have a 3rd party company covering your payment, you have to wait all day until they decide to send in the paperwork. My appointment was at 8am and I only needed a wheel alignment check and a tire changed. She told me to plan for a couple hours wait just in case the insurance company didn't send the info over immediately. Well, I was supposed to be at work at 4pm and I was late. But again, it wasn't their fault. It's my insurance companies fault. I'd definitely return again read more

WHAT A BUNCH OF UNEDUCATED LAZY CROOKS!!!! First off I was working in the area from out of town when my rear caliper froze up. (Now I'm not saying I'm a full mechanic but I do know a little bit about vehicles, 90% of the time I fix it myself.) Easy job, one caliper, but you should ideally do both sides. I'd have done it myself if I'd had my own tools. So I go in there first they give me a quote for like $870. I laugh at them! I'm like "for what?! It's a caliper. For $870 I'll go out & buy all new tools, hell even air tools & I small air compressor & do it myself in the parking lot." They then tell me the prices on parts which is at least double or triple the actual price, but I corrected them immediately. They eventually agree that I'm right. Then we agree on a much cheaper price. I let them do the work & pick up my truck the next day. FFW a month I I blew a brake line (not their fault) but while breeding my breaks I see that my new caliper IS MISSING THE BOLT THAT HOLD IT ON!!! It's 2 friggin bolts! Yet you forgot one. Oh and managed to chew up my rim in the meantime. If I didn't know about trucks they'd have ripped me off & who knows possibly even caused a wreck. read more

Great Service!! My car was pulling left so I took it in and they tested the tires (Firestone) and found that one of them was out of round. They applied the warranty to get a new tire and balanced and aligned. Jarrod and Jennifer were extremely polite and efficient. And Mel the technician did a great job too. Tom and Dave took great care of me and my Jeep and were able to repair the work done by Firestone's N Delaware location. I called Saturday at noon and they returned my call before 8am this morning (Monday). I was given space to work, wifi access, and they were very nice. I am still upset by the work done at the N Delaware location, but at least this location was able to fix it for now. read more
