On OCT 11 one of the techs broke my door panel and said that it came in broke. They even tried to fix it by using a plastic welder. Terrible service here I would not recommend this place at all to anyone. not even my worst enemy. The manager Cedric is the worse of them all there because he did not help in any kind of way. Had a window replaced after a break-in in June. During first try Tire Discounters replaced the passenger window but I had to call them back because my door panel wasn't reinstalled correctly and they failed to reconnect the door handle latch. During second visit I found a few pieces of the door panel clips in my apartment parking lot that weren't placed back in the door during first visit. They put my door panel back on correctly and reconnected my door handle during second visit. The new window is loose and rattles when rolled down during drives. Definitely wish I would have used Safelite instead. read more

Never would I go back here again I just bought a car I called the shop to schedule a alignment and tires to be balanced first thing Saturday morning. The guy at the front looks at my car and say we can balance your wheels and alone your car your tires are not good ( the tires was not bad at all). I have in and bought their tires said it was going to take 1-1/2 hrs. Was there for 3 hours. Came out said we can't align your car today. I just do t understand how they cannot aline my car after I made a appointment a week ahead made me by their tires so the job was not finished completely. Mechanic came and talked to me said my window would not roll up and was stuck half way and he lied and said I had some kind of short. The window switch worked fine he threw it out of track. He could have said it just came off the track. Told me they would give me a call between 1-3 to see if they can finish the job. I did not get a call back I had to call them for them to just tell me they would not do it. They just said it to get me out of the store. read more

Upon arrival the next day, Just was not there but the lady that helped me was on it! Very professional and knowledgeable. My appointment time was accurate and I was able to wait in their waiting room. The waiting room was very comfortable with ample room. It had a large T.V., complimentary coffee and drinks. It also had two private desks that were available for anyone to use. It also had a small area for kids. This place is highly recommended for tires. read more

I brought my car to Tire Discounters near Avon, Indiana for (4) new tires and front-end alignment. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. They did install the tires I selected and properly torqued the lug nuts. Everything else was thoroughly incompetent. I don't recommend this shop to anyone. I am a Mechanical Engineer in my 60s, and cars have been a life-long hobby. I have repaired, modified, or hand built almost every part of a car, including chassis, suspensions, engines, transmissions, differentials A/C, and electricals. I KNOW cars. I just replaced the lower front suspension on my car. The McPherson struts and tie rods are in good condition. Knowing that the front end would need to be aligned, I removed the factory welds from the caster/camber alignment plates and insured the toe adjusters were cleaned and oiled. When I scheduled the appointment at Tire Discounters, I informed them that the front-end needed alignment but not the rear-end. I also explained how I prepared the front suspension to make the job easy. When I brought the car to the shop, I gave them a Xerox of the Ford shop manual's instructions for aligning the front end and explained that I had already done the Ford prep work. After the car was on the lift, the manager informed me that the tie rods needed replacement. Alignment shops sometimes try to sell unnecessary work. I declined and asked them to "do the best they could". Three hours later, the car was ready. I paid my bill and left. At home, I discovered all four tires had an astounding 45 psi. Obviously, the mechanic had seated the tires with dangerously high pressure and forgot to bleed it off. I normally seat tires at 36-38 psi, which is plenty. The maximum allowable pressure for seating these tires is 40 psi, and that label is molded into the tire sidewalls. That is typical for most tires. Some of the tires on display at Tire Discounters even have large manufacturer's labels warning the installer "Do not exceed 40 psi !!" After I checked the tires, I examined Tire Discounter's "before" and "after" measurements from the front-end alignment. Only the toe had been adjusted (which is easy work). The camber was badly out of spec. I returned to their shop. The Manager claimed they couldn't adjust the caster/camber because the tie rods were worn. Tie rods don't affect the caster/camber. They can be REMOVED from the car and it wouldn't affect the caster/camber. He also stated that they only do one alignment. I explained the basics of front suspensions and pointed out that they hadn't done ONE alignment. We scheduled an alignment for Thursday. Wednesday he phoned me to reschedule for Friday. When I arrived on Friday, the desk clerk found that I was on Saturday's schedule. The manager arrived and told me that a front-end alignment of my model car was difficult and he would have to charge me for any shop time exceeding 1/2 hour per wheel. I showed him the Xerox from the Ford shop manual and explained that I had already done the prep work. I paid for their standard 4-wheel alignment, but requested they only do the front-end. That saved them almost half of the work. I pointed out that their advertised price didn't include a disclaimer "... unless we claim YOUR car is difficult to align". The manager relented, and put my car on the alignment machine. 40 minutes later, the Manager claimed that my car would only need a minor toe adjustment. He showed me the alignment machine's readings and suggested that I had inadvertently corrected the caster/camber when I prepared the alignment plates. I stated that I prepared the alignment plates BEFORE I brought my car to Tire Discounters the FIRST time. It would be ridiculous for me to do it AFTERWARDS. I handed him a copy of their "before" and "after" alignment measurements taken from my earlier appointment. They were dramatically different than what the alignment machine now showed. Obviously, someone had jiggered the alignment machine to display the reading they wanted. I didn't bother to demand they return my payment for an alignment. Regardless of how friendly and helpful the desk clerks are, the staff seems determined to squeeze their customers. All together, I took a lot of effort to make their job as easy as possible, fix their errors, made two trips to sit in their waiting room for four hours and STILL had to go to another alignment shop to finish the job. read more

I was told at the counter it would take 35 minutes at most to fix the nail in my tire! As I write this review, 1 hour and 20 minutes after I gave them my keys, they are just now getting the tire off my car to look at it. If you're keeping track, that's about 45 minutes after the total time I was told it would take...... and they are just now getting my freakin tire off! I've watched employees chat and talk and joke around, all while someone could have been fixing my tire! There weren't even many cars in the bay. This is insane!! A nail in my tire, NOT IN THE SIDEWALL mind you, and I'm still waiting, watching them from the window, as they play around attempting to fix my tire! There was no sense of urgency, respect of my time, or any consideration about their costumers! If this is how long it takes for a supposed "quick and easy tire fix", then I'd hate to see how long it takes to change oil or even clean the windows (which, going from this time frame id say it would probably take about 36 hours). This place is not recommended AT ALL..... no matter the price! FYI, as I finish this post, it is now 1hr and 15 minutes past the supposed 35 minute quoted time!!! I love this location! I have had the pleasure of seeing both Cedric and Isaiyah at this location. They are the nicest guys you could ask for! So polite and accommodating. I have referred many friends to this location specifically because of these 2 workers!!! And because of how good the service always is by all the people that work behind the scenes in the garage as well.
