This garage was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad I took his advise. Services was top notch and my car drives like new! All their mechanics are extremely knowledgeable and professional. General manager Saeed is an awesome guy! He is very honest & has a great attitude. I highly recommend this garage to anyone who wants car repairs done right at a great value. read more

Awesome service. A friend recommended this garage to me - I already had a good garage but I got a different used car and this garage was reported to know Mercedes well. They did a thorough inspection and told me things about the car that could be looked into in the future. As a woman I am always suspect of garages ripping me off - did not feel this here at all. Super reasonable price and friendly up front service. I definitely will return here and will recommend to others. read more

I'm so happy I found this jewel of a car repair shop. they go over and beyond with customer service, repairs, and priced well for the quality they deliver. Very trustworthy and knowledgeable. The best in Burnaby. read more

What an amazing experience. I took my car there for a repair estimate and they did their inspection and investigation very promptly. They suggested that it is not worth the expense to repair the car, after showing me pictures of the issues they had identified. The cost of repair would have exceeded the car's worth. They did not charge me anything and gave me good alternative suggestions. I would highly recommend them and when/if I get another car I would certainly take it there for any needed service and tune-ups. read more

Our family has been coming to Bill & Walters since the 80's; my Dad dealt with Fernando for not only his personal cars but his company fleet and now I deal with his son George and I know I am getting quality repairs every time. He will tell me exactly what I need; and if there are any other issues he will let me know and give me my options? I've recommended them to numerous people over the years! It's a great central Burnaby location, close to skytrain, and a mall if you need to kill time while your vehicle is being looked after. read more

Fernando offered friendly and knowledgeable service. I got struts, a timing belt and shocks replaced here. Problem was the excessive price. More than $1700. The four struts were charged to me at over $140 each. Upon walking into Canadian Tire, I see they were selling them for $67 each at regular price. $130 for a wheel alignment. The coolant was changed without my consent. They did quality work. I just don't like mystery bills and unauthorized work. I was floored when my bill was given to me. I even brought in my own timing belt =\ read more

This place charged me over a hundred bucks to change lightbulbs. Seriously. I wanted to change my headlights to have some brighter/whiter lights in them that I had and not being mechanically inclined I was able to change them myself, but then couldn't get everything closed again properly. So I decided to just take the bulbs to them to actually get it done right and when I came back to pay they claimed that the new bulbs I gave them were dead so they had to charge me for new ones... even though I had just tested them myself the night before and they worked fine. I expected to maybe pay half of what I was charged so I was really disappointed. One other time that I went there I waited at the front counter for ages and no one ever came to help me. I eventually left because no one ever came to the front counter the whole time I just stood there patiently waiting for many minutes. I get that they were probably busy in the back, but wouldn't it be important to have someone who just works the front? How long was I supposed to just stand around there for? And finally today I needed my car horn disconnected because it was going off by itself so I called them to see if they could do it (why I was prepared to give them a third chance is beyond me). The guy told me it would be $40 and he couldn't take me for 3 or 4 days. So I called the place across the street and they said they could take me immediately and wouldn't charge me for something that simple. Wow, what a difference! read more

I really wanted this to work out. Auto repair is one of things that feels like going to the dentist. Everyone says theirs is the best, you keep putting off the appointment, and when you finally make the appointment, you have to re-arrange your day to make it work, but if you make it through ok, you're set for life. A co-worker recommended this place for Audi repair, and even though Burnaby is out of my way, I decided to try them out. I had two problems with my car: a coolant leak, and a nagging all-wheel-drive wheel slipping problem. This place isn't far from Brentwood Skytrain Station, so that was my escape plan. I dropped off my car on a Wednesday morning, explained the situation, told them I didn't need the car back until Friday, and they agreed to call me before any work was done. Wednesday went by... Thursday went by... I called them on Friday afternoon as I grew a bit worried, and I was told that the car was ready to be picked up. Apparently they fixed the coolant leak, changed the Haldex oil and filter, took it for a test drive, but couldn't figure out the problem with the AWD. Not one phone call was made to me. Not. One. Total bill: $550+ I dejectedly made the trip out to pick up my car and pay them, and to add insult to injury, there was a new warning light on the dash that never appeared before that they couldn't figure out how to turn off (I figured it out myself after looking online), and in addition, the car was filthy! I even took pictures of the muddy, dusty state that it was in. It's like they drove it through a wet construction site for an hour. Now I have to repeat the whole process somewhere else, because I'm not wasting my time going back here. read more

I was soooo impressed with the service that the guys and Bill and Walter's gave me. Much better service than the Mercedes or Jaguar dealerships I've been taking my cars to for years. read more

The quality of service is 10/10. I prefer to take my car to them rather than BMW. Superior mechanics and a lower price

It's the worst feeling you turn the key to start your car and all you hear is ....click. I took my car into Bill & Walters as it was close to my work. Fearing it was something serious as my lights and radio were working I thought it wasn't my battery. Thankfully it was. They replaced it for me, did a diagnostic checking my fluids and tire pressure and I was on my way. read more

I agree; Bill and Walter's Garage are the best. They kept my son's Ford Escort rolling along to 300,000 km. They'd always be clear about what the car needed for safety and what was optional. Now they're doing great work on my 2002 Jetta. It needed a new catalytic converter - a $1000 job. I told them to go ahead, but B & W suggested I check with the dealer to see if VW had extended the warranty. They had, and the dealer did it for free. They're great at diagnosing problems, great at repair work, and absolutely trustworthy. read more

When my wife's car failed to start it was towed to Bill & Walters garage for repairs. The third day that it was there we had a call from the them telling us that a window was smashed during the night. I then heard " we are not responsible" No amount of talking would change their mind so I called ICBC & was told that it was their responsibility as the car was in their care. The next day the ICBC adjuster phoned to tell me the glass has been replaced but the battery was now missing from the car. Once more we were hearing "we are not responsible" & this time ICBC agreed with them as theft from the car would go against my insurance which did no good as the new battery cost was less than the deductible. A two star rating is being generous for this "couldn't care less about the customers car" attitude of this garage. read more

I have been bringing our three family cars to Bill and Walter's for a number of years now. I have found them to be a very honest and reputable operation. On more than one occasion I have brought a car in thinking it was going to be an expensive fix and it turned out otherwise. The latest example was my daughter's alternator...I thought it would have to be replaced but they found that the belt had fallen off and that's all that was required. I highly recommend Bill and Walter's if you want quality work done at a reasonable price. There are some folks here who have complained about the cost of service...my only response to them is that quality work needs to be paid for. It's like anything else, you can always find someone out there who will do things "cheaper" but you have to ask yourself about the quality of work as well. I have found that Bill and Walter's has found a good balance between quality workmanship at a reasonable cost. read more

A bunch of honest mechanics in this day in age!!! They have consistently fixed my vehicle at a reasonable price, been up front as to what needs to be fixed immediately, what should be fixed (but can wait a bit) and pointed out other areas of concern (without the sales pressure). They have even suggested whats wrong with my car over the phone, and i fixed the issue myself. It doesn't get any more honest and awesome than that!!! read more

I recommend B&W's to everybody I know! I have been coming to B&W's for over 14 years. I was referred by a friend that claimed "They are the best, go see Fernando!". After bringing my 1992 VW Jetta there a few times, I knew they were the BEST! Knowledgeable, friendly, and VERY reasonably priced! One time I dropped my car off, I said to Fernando, "There's something wrong with the car. I don't know what it is, but find it and fix it. I'll pick it up after work" When I went to pickup my car I said "What was wrong with the car?" He handed back my keys and said "Nothing, it's a little older, but I checked it over and everything is running great." He didn't even charge me the time it took to check things out. Wow! This was unheard of from a mechanic. I have never brought my new VW Golf(not new anymore) anywhere else but here. They really are the BEST and trustworthy! B&W's specializes in Mercedes, Volvo, Volkswagen and more. B&W's is now run by his son George, but Fernando still works there! Definitely worth a call next time you are having car troubles! read more

I called these guys about replacing the water pump in my Vanagon. They told me the part was $400 and the labour another $300. The labour is about right but the part is worth $125. $400 for a water pump is insane. read more

I chose this place because of their rating with the Better Business Bureau. I took my car in May 2013. They charged an exorbant amount and my car was returned to me making a new noise that it never made before. When I came back to question the noise, they gave me some story trying to justify it as normal. In November, the noise because much worse and now my car needs to be taken in again. Looks like a problem with the axle. I feel very mistrustful of this garage and based on some of the recent reviews, I decided not to give them another chance. read more

Greedy!............I used to take all my vehicles there for service (four in total!) My initial experience with them was positive but as time went on they became more expensive! I don't know if the owner George needs money desperately or what but the final straw was a $3 charge for washer fluid on a $800 job. I though he was kidding with me a first but his lackey Winston (who had George on the phone) insisted that this was a standard charge. I warned him that if didn't remove this I wouldn't be back. He didn't so I haven't. I'll spend my money where it's appreciated thanks. read more

I was referred here by my friends and I have to say the service was great. I called in the morning and was able to get my car in the same day to get my brakes replaced. They even rearranged their schedule so that I could get my car back in the early afternoon. Besides the excellent customer service, they also did quality work. I highly recommend this garage! read more

I took one of my vehicle's to Bill & Walter's to get the timing belt replaced. That was fine and the service was done as quoted. At that time I was told the cost for my other vehicle would be less. When I got the belt done on the other vehicle, however, it came out to several hundred dollars more than I was quoted. The answer I got was: "Oh, it could never be that cheap. The mechanic must have misquoted you." Since I had no written quote I just paid and got out of there. I will not take either of my vehicles there again as I do not trust them. read more
