I had to use tin snips to cut one of them when I had my bike locked to a tree. Took less than 10 seconds to cut, thankfully in my situation. I won't ever leave my bikes unattended for long periods of time with any type of lock. No lock is unbreakable but this lock cannot be cut easily. Be smart when you lock your bikes. OttoLock is that extra hoop thieves would have to jump through that they may not be ready for. Lock your bikes in a public area as well. If you can lock your bike within sight as well. If you want to break through this lock you will have to be loud and it will take you longer than usual. A friend of mine had a u lock and the OttoLock locking his bike. They cut through the ulock but left the bike after the OttoLock was taking too long to cut. They failed to cut through. A thief may only spend a few minutes trying to take the bike. Any longer and they risk too much. The OttoLock does that. It will deter a thief. It's small and easily carried with you which I love. The rubber straps used to hold the lock on the bike will not scratch your bikes paint job as well. The lock has a rubber coating as well to keep your paint surface clean.
