Always soggy, lacking flavor and just bad. Decided to use some monthly credits I get for Uber and placed an order for boneless wings. The promo on Uber Eats was BOGO 12pc bone in or boneless. I chose the sweet peach heat and Asian zinger as my two flavors. Both had a nice kick to them and were delicious. The French fries were good and the accompanying ranch/blue cheese were also good. Looking forward to returning and exploring more of the menu!

We went in at 12:30 on a Saturday to order a party pack- 25 boneless, 25 bone in, 4 sauces, and a shareable size order of fries. The service was good, the order was ready unusually quickly... which should have been a warning. We paid for a few more sauces, and especially blue cheese dressing. Taking our order home, I was two bites into the bone in wings when I realized that they were reheated and NOT fresh. I tried the boneless (which I'm not a fan of, generally); they were mediocre. Also, was very sad that they forgot my blue cheese dressing. I have made lots, and lots, and lots of chicken in my adult life. When I go out & pay someone else to do it, I want what they're advertising- fresh chicken. The fries were fresh, so that was good (but I cannot really eat them). I'll be back, because I had 3 good visits before, but if that had been my first visit- I would NOT ever be back. Please do better, WingStand; I know you can!

There were two cars in the lot which turned out to belong to the only two employees present. Even though there were no customers the place had a cozy inviting feel. I ordered the burnt end plate with coleslaw and beans. The burnt ends were as good as any place I've eaten and better than some. I would definitely order them again. The slaw was good, not fantastic, but good. The beans were a little lower on the scale and I may or may not order them again. The downside with Sierra is their hours. I would stop in on a Saturday if they were open. That said, I will return to enjoy more burnt ends and try some other menu options, which I'm sure I'll enjoy just as much.

This is my update after visit 3 to Joe's BBQ since moving to OP…read more This visit brought my review down a bit. I've tried more BBQ places in the area now. I met a couple of friends for dinner tonight at Joe's which did make my visit awesome! You order at a register, then pay, and pick up your food on a tray. A long line moves pretty fast, there's a decent amount of seating. so Zero complaints on service and ambiance. It's basically self serve and the decor is what you'd expect at a BBQ place. I was impressed with how smoothly and quickly it went with a large crowd there for dinner! I like the BBQ but it's not the best I've had. I got a 2 meat platter which comes with 1 side and toasted white bread. The brisket is pre-cut. I always ask for the lean side and the lady at the register said they cut it that way, but it had a lot of fat so I couldn't eat about half of it. The other meat I chose was pulled pork. It was fine. My side was corn. I'd call it Elote but they call it something else. It was very good. It's a small cup so I wish it were more since it was my favorite item of my meal. I also prefer a mustard/vinegar based BBQ sauce and they do not offer that at Joe's unless I somehow missed it but I don't think so. The BBQ sauce is very sweet! I would go back if a group of people I'm with wanted to go, but it's not the BBQ place I would pick for myself. Some of that is personal preference. It may be that you love fat (many do) and sweet BBQ sauce. If that's you, I would recommend you go!

We always get 2 different wraps that we split and typically we finish full and happy... I ask again, what happened that everything changed?? I'd say it was the prep person, but the ingredients were off too. We got a crunchy tofu Thai wrap and a kimchi fried rice burrito. I didn't even eat my half of the Thai wrap as it literally consisted of dry cabbage and 6 pieces of tofu that were the size of peas! I had to take a picture because no one would believe my description otherwise. The rice in the kimchi burrito was dry and greasy, but I managed to eat most of that. I'm really very sad as it was the kind of bad that I won't give it another shot because it was both different and bad. The size was easily half what we used to get, way more wrap than filling. I hope the owner uses this review to train or assess the changes made. It really was our favorite lunch spot in town

Once we were ready to order, the owner was eager to help us make decisions on different menu items and even father is a sample of one of their flavored iced teas when my mom couldn't decide which drink she wanted. I ended up ordering for the spicy chick on a bubble waffle with fries, and my mom of for a BBQ chicken sandwich with a waffle on the side. The dining room was clean and comfortable, and the temperature was just right (a unicorn when my mom and I are together, as she's always too cold and I'm constantly undecided whether I'm too hot or too cold, especially during the humid weather air conditioning season!) Our food was cooked to order and done pretty quickly. By the time we got home the wake was a little less crispy, but that's to be expected when hot, fresh food is transported in carry out containers. The waffle was still delicious, nonetheless! The chicken portions were enormous and could have easily made two meals. Per my usual M.O. though, I was a glutton and ate the whole thing - haha! The sauce/seasoning wasn't exactly like other Nashville hot chicken I've had, but it still had a great flavor, and the jalapeños gave it an extra kick that pushed it right to the edge of my spiciness threshold. Good thing I had that delicious iced tea to wash it all down! All in all, I had a great experience, and this will definitely be in my Lawrence takeout rotation. I can't wait to try all the other flavor combos on their menu!!
