They also had signage up that was super informative and helpful for certain situations one might run into in this current environment. The kitchen is super open and the service was friendly. They offer a variety of sandwiches, sides, soups, Italian sodas, and even catering. I went with the Classic sandwich: roast chicken, turkey, bacon, Colby, green leaf lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo, and avocado spread on toasted whole grain. I did have them swap the whole grain for sourdough because I'm a sourdough junkie. They were totally accommodating. The sandwich was delicious. The deli meat was high quality and had a great flavor. The veggies were fresh. The sandwich stacked. Highly recommend. They have a bunch of sides like potato, pasta, and even green salads, plus Mac and cheese, but I went with the tomato soup. The tomato soup is housemade with white wine and aromatics and topped with a dill crème fraische. The soup was so good that I would have happily eaten a giant vat of it and would have been satisfied. This will probably be the side I order for life. Although they do have a daily soup so that may have to be tried in the future. Definitely stop in and check them out!

My favorite was probably the sandwich... now, when you read the ingredient list, it includes 'cabbage' with no other description (which we found odd). It's actually thinly sliced red cabbage that both visually and texturally adds so much to the experience. As a coffee person (I like it black), I was pleased to see a self-serve station, though the addition of rock sugar sticks as coffee stirrers is a cute addition! The problem I have with this restaurant is the price and overall pricing structure. This restaurant is very pricey. Nothing is included, either. Fries aren't included with a cheeseburger, for example. You would think that the price they charge, they would throw in an extra or two. I know they don't give free fries at large franchise places but this is another type of restaurant. So by the time you order main item plus a side plus a pricey fountain drink, this is a costly place. My cheeseburger didn't feel cooked all the way through. No one comes to the table to make sure your order is okay. It just felt empty against the hype backdrop. I'll give it another try but I'm sure prices won't have gone down.
