The food here is always good, it pricey for the offerings. I enjoy the crunch on the bread and I LOVE their garlic cheese bread. Haven't had their pizza, but the sandwiches have all been tasty and well proportioned cheese to meat ratio. Chips are bagged and optional, and the optional pickles are really good too. Solid lunch choice or if you're looking for a good sandwich stop. Service is usually pretty quick, especially if you can order ahead by phone or through the app. Tables or booths are the typical eat in choices. I came here with my two sons (9 and 3). We loved the food but even more than that, we loved the team! The manager took time to make us feel so welcome and answer my curious kids questions. My 9 year old wanted to walk down the block to the bookstore and the manager actually offered to walk him down there himself so my 3 year old could finish his lunch. I was so touched by this kindness! I hope they open a store in Manhattan, KS!!!! The food was excellent, the cookies were some of the best I've had. Can't recommend this place enough! read more

I love coming to Pickleman's! They are very attentive to detail and the quality is great for whole 7 minutes it's takes to assemble an amazing salad with fresh ingredients, same with the sandwiches. The soups taste like their are freshly prepared but of course it's not. They're only open til midnight now because of COVID, but always a better alternative than McDonald's or any other drive through! They offer delivery and pick up as well. My food was great I really enjoyed the food, I came out to Lawrence to visit my Friend who goes to KU. and when we went to picklemans the service was god awful, i mean i have never expirienced someone be so mean to me while i requested toppings on my sandwich. I asked for bell pepper on my sandwich, which is totally fine and the man sighed and kinda rolled his eyes, i was confused but then was like "oh and can i please have some onions?" and he looks up and goes "can you tell me the F**cking toppings before i make your sandwich". Nice place from a quick lunch. Tried the chipotle chicken sub on a toaster white roll and found it to be a satisfying sandwich. The broccoli soup was good but a little too watery. After a long day on the road we stopped in Lawrence. Asked the Front Desk if there was some place they would recommend that delivered. They recommended Pickleman's. We ordered a pizza and it was fantastic. Super thin crust, great sauce, and fantastic delivery time. Hands down the best pizza we have had in a long time. Highly recommend. read more

I order from here quite often and get the same thing the Asiago chicken pizza but in place of the Asiago add ranch. The manager told me he was unable to do it because it wasn't an option on his screen. I informed him that I get it all the time. He then stated that because he has never done it before he will not do it for me. I said I would pay extra for it but he would still not do it. He then offered chipotle ranch because it was an option on his screen. I asked if he could mark chipotle ranch and swap it out for regular. He then told me no again. It makes absolutely no since! How hard Is it to ask the person standing a foot away from you to add regular ranch!! He told me do due to inventory purposes even tho I offered to pay for it! I placed an order at Pickleman's for a work meeting yesterday and they did not disappoint. We chose Pickelman's because they offer a wide range of meat, vegetarian, gluten free choices. We ordered 2 turkey sandwiches, 2 Asiago salads, 2 turkey bacon clubs, and a lentil chili soup. I specifically asked that it be delivered at 12:45 and they showed up right on time. Everyone said their food was great. The person who ordered the chili said it was amazing and full of flavor! There was not one complaint about the food. On a separate note, the prices were decent, about $7-$9 per person. However, the delivery charge was incredibly high. They charged an $8 delivery charge and to me that seems unreasonable. If Postmates were in Lawrence, it probably would have been cheaper or the same price. We still left a 20% tip for the driver. Overall, food is good quality and fresh! Just maybe think twice if you want to order delivery! read more

Unfortunately, the quality of the food is not what it used to be. I had a sandwich there yesterday on very dry bread and very little filling. And the pick two is deceiving. They actually charge you full price so a half a sandwich and a half salad yesterday was $13. I won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Wow, might have been one of the worst delivery experiences I have had in my life. Waited two hours for food and never even got it, offered 50% off and said it is in the kitchen and should be done soon. Call them again and they said it would be another hour. I'd been avoiding Pickleman's because I understood it to be a chain. Being someone that typically avoids chain restaurants I didn't have high expectations. They didn't let me down. It a nutshell, it's a slightly nicer version of Subway with a hipper interior design. But the food... this isn't what I'm looking for in a sandwich, and it sure as hell isn't gourmet. Dispense with the title. I don't need gourmet in a sandwich--how about just quality fresh ingredients and bread that's acceptable? Got the Meatball with Marinara and the Asiago Chicken Club and added an Italian Chopped Salad. If you're billed as a gourmet sandwich chain I'd think you'd pay attention to your bread. This is tasteless, mealy dough that has not a lot of taste and soaked up ingredients too much so that in the end it became a goo ball. We didn't finish them. The salad was the whitest of iceberg lettuce with a few cheap cuts of meat arranged in a pattern on top. Salami & capicola? Hell, that's the same grade stuff you can get at Dillon's (Kroger brand) hanging by the hook sealed in hard plastic. Ever hear of a pinch of salt and pepper on lettuce to give it a little more taste? Not here. That's what I get for picking up a sandwich mid-evening on the run with impossibly too much going on in preparation for the holidays. I suspect the crowd that frequents these places, it's just good enough, and it'll stay that way. Like I've said before, people that frequent Yelp won't be busting down the doors to eat at a Pickleman's, Subway or other similar joints. Jimmy John's down the street does a much better job for a chain. I can return there but can't say the same for PGC. P.S. it's in Kansas City but if you want to see and taste what a meatball sub should taste like, hit Pandolfi's east of the River Market.
