Figured we'd try this place out because we were at an event at Discovery Green and it was also game one of the season for the Astros. From a sports bar perspective, good place...lots of tv's and huge screens in dining area as well. Service was good, our waitress was fun and sociable. As for the food, meh. We shared some appetizers which were neither here nor there. Expected a little more from the food being that it's downtown but it fell short. Would definitely come back to watch games here but more likely to have drinks and watch the game. Get food somewhere else ‍. The prices were also somewhat high for what we got and the quality of the food. read more

TLDR: I love Biggio and the 'Stros... but this one definitely didn't set any honorable records. Visit: Weekday (dinner) Order: Loaded Nachos 7.1/10 Your average nachos. A step above the stadium variety, primarily because they have more toppings. Bison Chili Fries 7.2/10 Not crispy. Not soggy. All in all, a basket of generic fries that were well seasoned and smothered with queso, chili, and other related toppings. Brisket Tacos 7.8/10 Basic store bought flour tortillas with a tasty serving of brisket that was quite well balanced by some pickled red onions and served along crunchy kettle cooked style chips. My fave of the night! The food wasn't half bad... but our interaction with staff was rather lackadaisical, bordering on annoyance with our presence. A group of friends and I ended up here after visiting the hotel's Christmas lights/Pool scenery. Upon arrival, we were informed by the hostesses that the kitchen would be closing in roughly 15 minutes. Afterwards, we were given a choice of a table or the bar... but when requesting a table, we were met with a seemingly hesitant response... reminding us that the kitchen would be closing soon. No biggie, we decided to order at the bar. After making our way to the bar, I spoke to a bartender inquiring about a menu and ended up ordering said items. At this point I was asked whether I'd like the food for dine in or to-go. When I responded with our preference to dine in, he subsequently asked "Where?" As the bar was quite packed at the time, we didn't have an actual space to specify. At which point, I was told that we'd need to order to go. Fine. I just wanted to get some food... so, I agreed. Meanwhile, I continued to order a drink. It was at this point that my friend joined me at the bar and wanted to place an order... but it was too late. The bartender had turned to get the beer I ordered and immediately got my check before returning. Effectively stopping me from ordering a round for the rest of our group. Again, no big deal... it was busy. However, following that interaction we never saw the server again until the food came out (albeit in an acceptable amount of time). At the end of the day, I would never actively choose to go here. The food was decent, but the service had an *order and gtfo* kinda vibe. I get it. It's a busy bar in a reputable hotel space in downtown Houston. Whatevs... they don't need the avid patronage when there are plenty of people traveling through to fill the seats. Personally, I'm fine with that. I just won't choose to come back. read more

Great place to grab a quick bite before an Aston game but expect it to be LOUD! AT least it was when I was there. Could be the concrete floors and high ceiling. After the wait for the seating hostess, the actual service was prompt, thorough and accurate. I just had nachos and they were a bit disappointing l. The portion size was huge but there was something on them that tasted sweet that I couldn't put my finger on...one of the cheeses perhaps? I would have liked more refried beans as well especially since I didn't order add-on protein like brisket. But it was fine. If I went back I'd try something else. read more

The ambience and service was great, but the food is very overpriced. A great place to go watch games.

The staff here were very welcoming. I went here to enjoy the Super Bowl with friends and it was well worth it because of how large their tv screen were! I felt as if I was right there at the stadium. The salad was massive and hearty!! I loved how well they seasoned the shrimp. Butter parsley and other flavors contributed to this amazing dish! Their drinks are also very delicious! I enjoy ginger beer which is lovely and paired nicely with my salad. There is plenty of seating at the bar, I counted more than 20 seats directly in front of the bar and they have a long table too stretched out along the window. The windows are also powered to go up and down. And look directly at discovery green. The area that this sports bar is located in is very nice but parking can be a challenge. Uber or Lyft if you can spare the money, if not, the valet charges $40-$45 for just a couple of hours. The parking lost charge $30 on weekends. read more

Food was excellent. My favorite dish was the brisket mac n cheese! It was so delicious and the brisket had a soft and sweet taste. Definitely a go to place for Astros fans! The place was packed with orange jerseys. It's very dim and relaxing inside. The service was not 100%, but that wouldn't stop me from stopping by again. read more

First thing I ordered was a Beer. It was room temperature from the tap. Then I ordered chili That too what is room temperature and had to go back. The coleslaw that was a side dish was also room temperature. The chili and coleslaw being room, temperature, are a big department of health violations and are very scary. I would not go back there for that reason not to mention a pint of warm local tap. Beer was $15. Grotesquely over priced and very poorly operated. But when you're the only show in town you can get away with stuff like this. Never again. read more

Biggios was a in the pinch decision when local lunch spot was planned to be was not open the day we needed lunch. Food was good sized portions and fresh. Surprising quality and large area. Could have more seating or better seating arrangement as we found it with a waiting line. The service was average to a bit slow for during the week lunch. Took 75 min for complete process. I believe they are simply understaffed as I saw only two people waiting tables. Definitely worth a visit if you want a break from a conference at GRB or at discovery green and want to take a break from the heat and watch a game. Big screens. read more

Food was sub-par. Never was asked how the food was so didn't comment. Not worth the price for the name.

Well, the staff was nice. I'll give them that. The manager was real nice and comped us our meal after we discovered a non edible item in our food. This place isn't anything special though. It's a place to go for convenience, but if you have options and energy, seek other establishments. A nice place to catch the game and close to Minute Maid park, but that's really all I got. read more

Staying at the Marquis, so decided to just come downstairs for lunch. Big sign indicated us to seat ourselves, so we went ahead and did so. We waited a little over 10 minutes for our waiter to come to us, we were pretty hungry so we ordered our drinks and food together. Drinks were brought over by the bartender who literally did not speak to us at all, and seemed upset that she had to bring them over. Food took a short time to get out to us, but it was brought out with no silverware or napkins. They really wanted me to eat some sauce coated wings with no napkins! The waiter was nowhere to be found. We finally were able to get his attention and have some napkins brought out, but service was bad. I saw people at other tables get up and go to the back of the house to find the waiter when they needed something. I just am really disappointed in service. Being at a prime location inside a very nice hotel, I would expect service to be impeccable. Only bright side is the food was pretty good. The wings were basic, it's hard to mess up wings. Fries were awesome and crispy, and they have some homemade chips that were tasty as hell too. The star of the show however, were the brisket tacos. Edit: I have to downgrade my review to one star. my kids really wanted some french fries, so i wanted to give them another shot. I ordered an order of fries to-go. I ended up waiting 1 entire hour for a plain order of fries. While i asked the staff where my order was and why they were taking so long, no one addressed my question. Pick up instructions stated to pick up order from bartender. This was the same rude bartender from earlier who completely ignored me as I tried to get her attention to ask about my order. Horribly organized, I hope this place gets their staff together. read more

I had a terrible experience at Biggio's on September 28th and wouldn't recommend it. I gave it a 1-start rating only because there's no option for a zero. When my food arrived, I found a hair in my tortilla chips. I immediately informed the server who brought the food out who removed the hair and tossed it to the ground, leaving the tacos on the table. I had to wait for the actual waiter who took the tacos away and brought new ones. Unfortunately, the tacos were bland and overrated. We also ordered BBQ fries, which didn't arrive until halfway through the meal after we reminded the waiter. Because of the experience, I expected the manager to come over and apologize, especially for the hair in the food, but no one ever did. When the check arrived there was no discount, which is common practice in restaurants when something goes wrong with the food. I asked to speak with the manager. When I requested a discount given the situation, she reluctantly removed the fries from the tab only as she said the corrective action for the mistake on the tacos was already resolved because they remade the tacos. This is poor customer service and bad management. Telling a customer " we fixed it because we made you a new order" doesn't address the bad experience. I was thoroughly disappointed. Biggio's might have a big name, but it fell short on every level. Liz Pina needs additional management training to learn how to better handle situations like this demonstrate genuine hospitality. read more

Great spot for a drink if you're waiting for the Uber surge to die down after a game. The bartenders were slammed and HUSTLING, so even though it was packed, we didnt wait long for drinks. We have also come here for a quick bite before a game and the food was pretty much what you'd expect for a sports bar in a hotel (this is in the Marriott Marquis). It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't pick it if I had a lot of choices read more

I initially only hit this strip to try out another particular restaurant which shall remain nameless that actually ended up being closed. I was with someone who suggested the place next door to the original place which was also closed ... then the light started gleaming around Biggio's. After a quick Yelp check I realized this place had already been on my list to try .. it was a wrap after that. Before the door could close behind me I was in love. This was my new downtown bar joint. There's a TV at every table. The chairs/booths/couch table areas all offer a bar worthy lavish dine-in experience. If it was up to me I would have sat at the bar to chop it up with the bartender and enjoy their extensive bar setup .. but Covid. I wasn't expecting anything better than decent bar food because I'm realistic, but it was genuinely enjoyable. I ordered the burger and a salad .. a friend of mine had the wings with fries, we shared and were both satisfied. Satisfied to the point of being excited to try their actual menu when it's no longer limited. Drink wise, we did wine and water. No biggie there. The service was immaculate. Southern hospitality approved. The waiter was a cool dude .. he paid for our meal, so we'll definitely be back to show him even more love. Go Astros. read more

Good things first- Pizza was amazing. Now the bad - we were there 3 hours, were only given 1 round of drinks (asked for more multiple times and was told yes but never got drinks) MONICA came to take our food order an hour after our drinks got here. Extremely inattentive and rude. Avoiding all her tables at all cost even though 3 tables had theirs credit cards in the air just begging to leave. Dont come here for a bad time. read more

My son and I needed to find food quickly. After running through the short list of possible food options we decided on Biggio's. We were seated fairly quickly. After ordering, we got our bacon cheeseburger hamburger fast. The lettuce and tomato were fresh. There was plenty of bacon and the meat was juicy. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned. The portion was large enough that we could share the meal and be satisfied. read more

Cool place to come watch the game. Good food and customer service. No complaints. Great surrounding views as well

Really awesome sports bar with a huge bar with so many TVs and screens. There is also a nice lounge area if that is more your speed.

Even though the astros are cheaters & liars I wanted to try this place cause Craig Biggio was an astro BEFORE they were cheaters & liars. Anyway its a nice place with comfy couches & lots of huge tv's to watch the astros cheat. Didnt get any food but the food I saw other patrons eating looked pretty tasty. Not a ton of folks in there on valentines night so the 2 servers waiting our table were pretty quick with the beers. Id come here again read more

This restaurant is located in the Marriott Marquis in downtown Houston with both Street access as well as lobby access The restaurant is huge with a two-story eating area and balconies up above there's an extremely large TV screen projected on the one wall and all kinds of seating at bars at tables and little alcove throughout the restaurant We got there with only 30 minutes before we had to leave for the airport and the waitress did excellent job hustling everything along and making sure we were well taken care of in that 30 minute experience The food was really good the service was great and I would recommend this place read more

I don't usually write reviewed and let me tell you about this staff at Biggio's. They are always so attentive and energetic whenever I'm there which is often sometimes. John is always top notch and just puts the finishing touches on the experience. Me and some friends come for the sports / good and always leave just happy as calms whenever we John as our server. So if you're looking for an amazing spot with a great staff / server Biggios's is definitely the place to be and make sure to ask for John. He'll take amazing care of you. read more

Very disappointed in the Bacon and Cheddar Burger I got last night. If you spend $21 on a burger, I expect it be darn good. The bun was huge. Two giant pieces of lettuce. None of the contents was proportionate. I did add jalapeño to the burger but there was none on it. Will not be returning. read more

Some of the worst service I've ever had. Sports bars that chooses to argue with the customers about turning the TVs on football games during Sunday's. The manager/hostess are rude. It's week 7 and no one can figure out how to change the channels. If you want to sit at a sports bar and have 8 TVs on the same game with no audio, this is the place to be.
