Came here to eat as a family before heading to the field for the astros/yankees game. Fun atmosphere and our waitress was awesome. Had a great time and enjoyed the food. Biggios was a in the pinch decision when local lunch spot was planned to be was not open the day we needed lunch. Food was good sized portions and fresh. Surprising quality and large area. Could have more seating or better seating arrangement as we found it with a waiting line. The service was average to a bit slow for during the week lunch. Took 75 min for complete process. I believe they are simply understaffed as I saw only two people waiting tables. Definitely worth a visit if you want a break from a conference at GRB or at discovery green and want to take a break from the heat and watch a game. Big screens. read more

Well, the staff was nice. I'll give them that. The manager was real nice and comped us our meal after we discovered a non edible item in our food. This place isn't anything special though. It's a place to go for convenience, but if you have options and energy, seek other establishments. A nice place to catch the game and close to Minute Maid park, but that's really all I got. read more

Staying at the Marquis, so decided to just come downstairs for lunch. Big sign indicated us to seat ourselves, so we went ahead and did so. We waited a little over 10 minutes for our waiter to come to us, we were pretty hungry so we ordered our drinks and food together. Drinks were brought over by the bartender who literally did not speak to us at all, and seemed upset that she had to bring them over. Food took a short time to get out to us, but it was brought out with no silverware or napkins. They really wanted me to eat some sauce coated wings with no napkins! The waiter was nowhere to be found. We finally were able to get his attention and have some napkins brought out, but service was bad. I saw people at other tables get up and go to the back of the house to find the waiter when they needed something. I just am really disappointed in service. Being at a prime location inside a very nice hotel, I would expect service to be impeccable. Only bright side is the food was pretty good. The wings were basic, it's hard to mess up wings. Fries were awesome and crispy, and they have some homemade chips that were tasty as hell too. The star of the show however, were the brisket tacos. Edit: I have to downgrade my review to one star. my kids really wanted some french fries, so i wanted to give them another shot. I ordered an order of fries to-go. I ended up waiting 1 entire hour for a plain order of fries. While i asked the staff where my order was and why they were taking so long, no one addressed my question. Pick up instructions stated to pick up order from bartender. This was the same rude bartender from earlier who completely ignored me as I tried to get her attention to ask about my order. John is always top notch and just puts the finishing touches on the experience. Me and some friends come for the sports / good and always leave just happy as calms whenever we John as our server. Great spot for a drink if you're waiting for the Uber surge to die down after a game. The bartenders were slammed and HUSTLING, so even though it was packed, we didnt wait long for drinks. We have also come here for a quick bite before a game and the food was pretty much what you'd expect for a sports bar in a hotel (this is in the Marriott Marquis). Met up with the hubs and friends here and enjoyed a decent time. I was mesmerized by the huge double sports screen and I'm not even close to being a dependable sports fan. I initially only hit this strip to try out another particular restaurant which shall remain nameless that actually ended up being closed. I was with someone who suggested the place next door to the original place which was also closed ... then the light started gleaming around Biggio's. After a quick Yelp check I realized this place had already been on my list to try .. it was a wrap after that. Before the door could close behind me I was in love. This was my new downtown bar joint. There's a TV at every table. The chairs/booths/couch table areas all offer a bar worthy lavish dine-in experience. If it was up to me I would have sat at the bar to chop it up with the bartender and enjoy their extensive bar setup .. but Covid. I wasn't expecting anything better than decent bar food because I'm realistic, but it was genuinely enjoyable. I ordered the burger and a salad .. a friend of mine had the wings with fries, we shared and were both satisfied. Satisfied to the point of being excited to try their actual menu when it's no longer limited. Drink wise, we did wine and water. No biggie there. The service was immaculate. Went to this place about a week ago. It was a terrible experience from start to finish. Me, a buddy, and his mother-in-law went to get a bite to eat, and they both wanted to get a drink. We sat in the bar section, but away from the bar at a long table up against some windows. The barstools sucked and were very uncomfortable, they appeared to be old and outdated. We placed a pretty simple order: (2) burgers, a salad and a few sides. On top of that, I ordered and drank water, they each ordered alcohol. After waiting 45 minutes and still no food, I inquired on what was taking so long. Well, they couldn't find our ticket. You could tell they were scrambling and stressing about the order I'd placed 45 minutes earlier through the bartender. About 65 minutes later, our food FINALLY came out. The food was decent, but not worth the wait. On top of that, as a first responder in my work uniform (ID around my neck, badge on my belt next to my gun), I was told to leave the establishment by Mr. Hamburger (yes, that's what his ID stated his last name was). Confused as to why I was being asked to leave, there were also customers asking me, as a First Responder, clearly in a police uniform, why they were asking me to leave? I told them that because I had a gun on my hip, they told me I had to leave. As I left, I approached Mr. Hamburger and asked him if he kicks out all First Responders in uniform and he said no. I explained to him that I was in my work attire, on duty and wearing what I wear each day to work: Police ID, Badge, Gun. For whatever reason, he didn't like how I was dressed. I told him in my 13+ years of Law Enforcement, I've never been asked to leave a restaurant in Houston or anywhere else when on duty and in my work attire. He accused me of drinking alcohol (I was not/I did not). I don't recommend this place to anyone. On top of the bad experience with Mr. Hamburger, the food wasn't anything special. About the only thing good was the service from the (2) bartenders. They were pleasant, did a good job and I don't attribute the delay in food being their issue. I was there when they placed the order into the computer, so it was either a lost ticket in the back or a computer glitch, or Mr. Hamburger was hoping I'd leave before getting my food/hoping I was tired of the wait. It wasn't a super busy day. They had open tables, the couches were empty and after I approached the bar, a guy sitting at the bar leaned over and said, "you aren't the first one to complain about the long delay in getting your food, there have been others approach the bar and inquire about their food as well." Don't go here. Cross the street and go to SaltGrass or someone else. This experience was terrible, I will never go back. read more

Tables who had been sat 30+ mins after us had been served & were done. Our food was finally delivered 1 hr & 25 mins later. My nachos were cold & the others food was still somewhat warm. Don't however confuse that with being a hot fresh warm meal. Not a single manager bothered to come by to explain how this happened, but they had absolutely no problem coming to give me my $200 bill. My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time and finally had the opportunity to do so. We went early before the game and we're seated immediately. The service from our server was top notch, always checked in on us. Great atmosphere overall inside with plenty of TVs and Astros memorabilia. The food was amazing! I got the brisket tacos and the brisket was so tender and soft! The buffalo wings were perfectly crisp and the sauce was not overwhelmingly hot. It has the perfect amount of kick. I was having a mini staycation at the Marriott Marquis, to which Biggio's is attached, and so I made a stop here for a quick lunch. I came in through the Marquis' entrance and approached the hostess table. There was only one hostess on a Saturday afternoon and she was helping another group when we walked in. The way this restaubar is built, the hostess had to walk all the way down past the really long bar area to take the guests to one of the dining areas (there's also a dining area right by where the hostess table is) and then walked back to help us and then to walk through the bar area to take us to our table. All this walking back and forth made getting seated to be a little slow, but it didn't bother me too much because I kind of felt bad for the hostess. Moving on. The dining area where I was seated had bar-height tables (and maybe regular tables by the screen toward the back but I can't remember). The dining area by the hostess table had booth seating and couches (more like a lounge). I personally don't really like the bar-height table but oh well. Our waitress came and introduced herself not too long after we got seated. Throughout our dining experience, I found our waitress to be attentive and cognizant of our needs. No complaints for the service. For food, I decided to order the bacon cheddar burger. For $16, it's obviously on the high-end of pricing when it comes to burgers. I honestly didn't have a high expectation of the burger because I thought that it was just going to be another sports bar burger anyway. When the burger came out, first thing I notice was that my burger was overcooked. I asked for medium, but when I cut my burger in half, it was looking more medium well. I decided to eat it anyway and to my surprise, the burger was actually really good! And it was overcooked. Imagine how it would taste had it been cooked correctly!! I also have to do a special shout out to the fries that came with the burger because oh em gee, they were super crispy and super good. The fries were definitely done right and they totally almost stole the show from the burger. But we know that almost doesn't count. As for the ambiance, it's a high end sports bar. I wouldn't come here if I just wanted to watch sports. I'd come here if I actually wanted to meet and impress people because I can't see myself walking in this bar in a t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops like I would to a regular sports bar. They have a couple of big screen TVs in the dining area, but unless you're sitting at the bar, then you're forced to watch whatever's on the big screens. The prices on the menu will also tell you that this is a high-end sports bar. I definitely wouldn't mind coming in if I'm in the area and dressed for the part, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Especially considering the location and parking would be an issue. read more
