The prices are great; in fact, I'd go as far to say that the local chains (Big Y, Stop 'n Shop) can't touch their prices. Their produce selection is amazing, and sometimes they carry local produce, which is always a bonus. Our budget is always met when we shop at Price Rite. If you're not into the heavy crowds that show up, especially on weekends, go late in the evenings on a weekday night for your weekly shopping. We're NEVER disappointed when we go at 8pm on a Wednesday night!

He accused me of stealing the items as I walked in and was not only rude but very unkind. Due to the weight of my return, the long walk to the register and my breathing condition I was not breathing well when I first encountered him. Although he could see I wasn't breathing well he continued to ask me questions insisting I answer him instantly. He treated me as if I was a child doing something wrong. I am a 48 year old woman . The policy is 7 days for perishables and 30 days for other items. It has been 4 hours. After I was banned from doing returns he followed me out of the store harassing me the entire way. He is a terrible manager and a unkind, unintelligent, cold, rude person. Everytime I shop there when he's working he's always just standing up front doing nothing. I won't be shopping there again. $17 return vs over $500 a month in sales. Not bright!!!

I was kicked out of Fruit Fair for going into diabetic shock. I was also told that I was "scaring"…read morethe customers. Nobody offered me any medical help & I was threatened with the poloce. Fruit Fair left me passed out in an aisle for 35 MINUTES! (I know the exact time bc Sam, the co-owner rubbed it in my face.) This is how Fruit Fair treats their customers with disabilities. There are public police records of this event taking place on 12/7/2023 if anyone thinks I'm making it up. (Simply go to the CPD to have the record printed.) I called the police myself right after Fruit Fair threatened me. I needed to tell my side of the story because this was a disgusting injustice. The police officer who came to my home was so kind & understanding! He & the 911 operator explained to me that there were absolutely no records of any 911 calls coming from Fruit Fair on 12/7/2023, so Fruit Fair also lied to me about calling the police on me. The police academy teaches cops that diabetic shocki mimics drunkenness, so he understood me. He even offered to go to Fruit Fair & educate them. He kept asking me if I was okay over & over again. Amazing officer! Fruit: There are fruit flies swarming the fruit, especially the tomatoes! They lay their eggs inside the fruit. You will be sick if you eat it. Deli: There is a CONSTANT swarm of flies at the deli & the deli workers are RUDE! Frozen Food: Their freezers constantly break down, then work again, which refreezes everything. They have boxes standing up, so when their freezer breaks, all the food thaws out, slides to the bottom, then refreezes. This malfunction also causes mold. The 3rd problem is freezer burn; Lots of it. Returning anything when Sam is around is a nightmare. She is a narcissist who believes she can do no wrong. (I pity her husband bc he seems like such a sweetheart!) Sam always gave me a huge problem when I returned food...She once followed me to the parking lot to question why I was returning food! Mice are an issue. I've seen 2. Please humanely trap them. Don't hurt them. I was kicked out of Fruit Fair for going into diabetic shock. I was also told that I was "scaring" the customers. Source: MyHealth.Alberta.ca With diabetes, your body either doesn't make enough insulin or can't use it as well as it should. Diabetes is a chronic (long-lasting) health condition that affects how your body turns food into energy. Your body breaks down most of the food you eat into sugar (glucose) and releases it into your bloodstream. When your blood sugar goes up, it signals your pancreas to release insulin. Insulin acts like a key to let the blood sugar into your body's cells for use as energy. With diabetes, your body doesn't make enough insulin or can't use it as well as it should. When there isn't enough insulin or cells stop responding to insulin, too much blood sugar stays in your bloodstream. Over time, that can cause serious health problems, such as heart disease, vision loss, and kidney disease. There isn't a cure yet for diabetes, but losing weight, eating healthy food, and being active can really help. Other things you can do to help: Take medicine as prescribed. Get diabetes self-management education and support. Make and keep health care appointments. Diabetes by the Numbers About 38 million US adults have diabetes, and 1 in 5 of them don't know they have it. Diabetes is the eighth leading cause of death in the United States. Diabetes is the No. 1 cause of kidney failure, lower-limb amputations, and adult blindness. In the last 20 years, the number of adults diagnosed with diabetes has more than doubled. Source: CDC

Unbelievable!! This…read more3-star is based on over 10 years shopping experience here. It's a very nice place, especially that was before a few years ago and all Sundays. However, today, a January Sunday noon, I've experienced some that never happened before for more than 10 years. That bad feeling is really not good, and I believe no one would take that. This makes a pretty bad day to me. At the self-checkout station, after payment submitted, I was ready to go. At that moment, I was questioned that if I scanned one of the items. I told her that was first one get scanned. And, I would have to ask her if she wanted me to take to "somebody". She immediately agreed and recommended me to talk to store manager. For 10+ yrs shopping there, this never happened before. As a long-term resident shopping for many years, once you got doubted if you've paid one of the items or no (that's just $3.99), would you feel that's kind of rude and negative to your reputation? Especially you serve local community for years, the career and the church. THe store clerk who questioned me seems was retired elsewhere and got rehired here. I'm not quite sure if she did her job or no (checked customers' goods all get scanned and payment cleared). Or, she just wanted to make people a bad day.

I walked around a bit observing the wild animals in the zoo and and after poking my head around long enough I jumped into the line with the slowest cashier on mother earth. The guy in front of me and I got to chatting coming to the conclusion that she was wonder woman helping out other cashiers with how often she momentarily stepped away from her post. I thought this line would have been quick, the people all in front of me minus the person who was getting checked out all had very few items which I thought was s godsend. Nope, fools gold. I tried to escape to the line next to me but was too late. So I stuck it out. When I finally did get checked out my five items literally took all of two seconds to process and I was out the door. I looked back and wished everyone behind me best of luck (in my mind). As I walked to the car, which ended up being on the complete other side of the parking lot, I seen the man who was in front of me in line and did I ever laugh coming to find out we parked next to one another. I said to him "great minds think alike" and laughed, "both picking what we thought was a quick line and parking away from all the traffic". Wished the guy a merry Christmas and off we both went. That's the end of my story. In all seriousness I hate Walmart and only come in during essential times like bathing products and the random bulk beverage buy (once/twice a year). I watched employees stand around on their phone, arguing with customers about what's a mountain bike and what's not (that customer should have went to an actual bike shop, silly her), and be typical stereotypical employees. The store itself was a lot cleaner than expected, especially two days before Christmas. Social distancing was clearly not being enforced (not that I care) but when mom and pop stores play by the rules and I see superstores open the floodgates for mankind it really grinds my gears. All the employees had masks and gloves on so that was a bit of a surprise. The picture I attached what these superstores represent during the busy times. If you do not have the staffing to open all the lines up then staff the open lines with employees that can keep the lines moving. What better way to minimize people on top of one another than a quick checkout. That's in for my rant. Good story with a review of my observation. Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year!

The food is good, the prices are decent, and I've had consistently positive experiences. I've seen a lot of negative reviews, but honestly, many of them seem personal rather than actually about the store. If you're having a bad day, that's not a reason to leave a one-star review. If you don't know how to manage your money, that's not BJ's fault--that's on you. And if you're already in a bad mood, don't take it out on the employees. Every time I go, it's been a pleasure. The girl in customer service is awesome (I wish I remembered her name), and all the employees I've encountered have been polite, hardworking, and professional. I've never had a rude experience, and they always greet customers with good manners. I don't know why there's been an increase in negative reviews lately, but to me, it seems more personal than legitimate complaints. BJ's has been great, and I'll continue shopping here!

I guess coming here first thing in the morning is not a good thing. I think a lot of the employees still had thier grumpy pants on. I I went to the deli section first, to get some freshly sliced cheese. The employee turned and looked at me, and asked if she could help me in the rudest tone possible. I felt like I was interrupting her. I asked for 1/3 pound of sliced provolone and she immediately walked away... she didn't even give me a chance to tell her that I also wanted chedder. She didn't even ask me what brand. Ohnce she looked like she was finishing up the provolone, I asked for cheddar, she sighed really hard and looked annoyed as she stomped away from the slicing machine to grab whatever brand SHE chose. While she was cutting my next block of cheese, she was gossiping to the other employee that even the seafood section was short handed... maybe that's why she was in a bad mood? It looked like the store needed restocking really bad. I went on with my shopping and spoke to the cheery cashier. It would have ranked higher, if the employees were a little bit nicer.
