When I walked in I didn't grab a basket, but my hands quickly filled up with so many great products that can sometimes be hard to find. I definitely had to go back for the basket! I'm sure the owner is quite well off and to not want to provide simple seating (like places like Barstow's does) for everyone including toddlers is greedy . I have to admit however that one of my main reasons for going is because they carry Ground Up flours. Ground Up is a local flour mill based in Holyoke, MA that doesn't use any kind of GMO or chemicals. This is the flour that my favorite bakery (Hungry Ghost Bread in Northampton) uses to make their delicacies. You can visually see and taste the difference in this flour. My mom who usually reacts badly to storebought gluten products has no issues whatsoever with this variety of flour. We used to think she was gluten intolerant but now we think it's probably whatever stuff they spray on wheat to keep bugs off that she's reacting too. But really, people shouldn't be consuming plants that have been sprayed by harsh chemicals or has been genetically modified which is another reason why I appreciate Dave's natural garden. People working there are really nice and help you with whatever you need.
