I like Inter Produce a lot. It's easy to get to on the G2 PVTA bus if you don't drive. If you do, they have their own parking lot, with free parking.
The store hours are excellent, and they have a decent selection of European groceries, and tea, in addition to the produce, which is their main event. They have real Avjar. Win, win!
I love peppers, and I think of Inter Produce as the pepper people. Green ones, red ones, yellow and orange ones, hot ones, they've got them. Nice ones, too. Fresh and the prices are good. The last time I was there I got a head of Romaine lettuce that looked local it was so fresh. It was massive, with big green leaves. And because I'm 99% sure it was local, I had no fear of getting sick. (Summer of 2026, here. Lettuce. Yeah.)
Eggplant was fresh and there was a good selection of cruciferous veggies too.
I was reluctant to buy potatoes, though, and this is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. There were more bad spuds than good. Sad but true. These were bagged spuds, too. And the ones that were unbagged were too close to the sun/light source, and had turned green. Bummer. (I do not eat green spuds. Do a search and look up why you shouldn't either.) :(
The store is well lit, you have a choice of a small grocery trolley, a hand basket, or one of those wheelie things with a retractable handle.
The woman at the counter was professional and courteous. I brought my own bags, which she appreciated, and together we bagged up my stuff quickly.
So, Inter Produce gets my vote, they're locally owned, they donate to local food banks, and are an asset to our community. Just mind the spuds. read more
