If you want to buy some, you should call ahead. For my first visit, I came by during their posted hours, and I read a sign to honk my horn to be helped. As Mr. Austin explained to me, he is around during the days/times posted, but he might working in one of their fields. (If he knows that you are going to visit, he'll plan to be in the area of the farm shop.) He was also kind enough to explain some basics about choosing meat for what I might want to cook. He was so helpful! I'd never bought meat directly from the source before, and I'd never set out to buy grass-fed beef before (but I've been getting more interested in knowing about food sources). Every weekday, I drive by the Austin's Farm on my way to work, and I can see how well the animals are kept, and how happy they are in their spacious fields. In a sense, it could seem morbid to see the animals that might end up on my table, but I'm actually glad to know that they are healthy cows who live good lives. And, I like knowing that my purchases directly help to keep a local farm family in business. Best of all, their food just tastes amazing!! I hope you'll stop by and give it a try!! The deli and meat counter has a good amount of house-made dishes, from chicken salads to smoked salmon. The really huge, well-curated cheese section is worth it alone. This kind of counter is what I've missed after moving up here! Nice selection of grocery staples with an emphasis on local/regional producers where possible. There's a small but solid selection of natural health/beauty products and gifts, too. "Well-curated" is a running theme, as the beer section stocks a ton of nicer local brews I can't find at the major chains here. The staff is helpful and friendly without being overbearing. It's definitely a worthy detour if you need groceries and are in the area.

One cashier in particular, a young woman with black rim glasses and COLORFUL PINK hair, is frequently on her phone, speaks to customers rudely, and makes the shopping experience unpleasant. Her behavior has come across as racist and completely unacceptable. Customers deserve to be treated with basic respect, regardless of who they are. On top of the terrible service, the store has an awful smell that makes shopping uncomfortable. Even worse, I have come across expired food still sitting on the shelves. That is a serious concern when it comes to food safety and proper store management. The prices are reasonable, but decent prices do not make up for disrespectful service, an unpleasant shopping environment, and concerns about expired products. Management seriously needs to address the customer service, cleanliness, and food quality issues. I would not recommend this supermarket unless significant improvements are made.
