Great service at a markup. I went in for an amp and paid $550 which seemed reasonable. I came back to get a new touchscreen stereo and they said the stereo alone would be $350 and there wasn't much cheaper and that I had to get a harness for $50. Both of those prices are very much inflated. A touchscreen stereo can be as little as $50, but the one he showed me was more comparable to the $150 - $250 range. And the harness can be gotten from amazon or auto zone for $15 easily. The people are very nice and welcoming and definitely know their stuff. At my original installation they said it would take 3 hours, but had to take another hour. read more

Guys were extremely helpful and accommodating. I have to admit, the store looks a little suspicious because of loose stuff and wheels and tires piled up everywhere. But just ignore that and get talking to one of the guys there. They don't BS you and they tell you what you need instead of just trying to upswell you to line their pockets. Called to see how much they would charge to install a touchscreen Power Acoustic Bluetooth. A guy answers the phone "big papas" & tells me that they don't install that brand in cars. I said ok do you know a company that would ? He said some companies won't touch it because it's an off brand & to be honest it's garbabge. As someone who has never done business with this company I never will simply because of the comment. I've already purchased a stero and spent money that you are saying is garbage. Way to make someone feel terrible for their purchase. Once you lose face it's hard to get that customer back. Shopped around for my son's 16th birthday present--he wanted good speakers. We wanted them built in, he wanted big. We called several places and Big Papa not only beat the prices, they worked quickly and when we came back to get the car, they tested everything and walked through it all so we'd be fully informed on how it works. We love it, the sound is high quality the install was professional and I'm sure our neighbors are already prepping their hard eye rolls. After an audio system install they forgot to reattach the dash board.. it fell off when I pulled out of the lot.. they also forgot to reconnect the a/c.... came back for a back up camera WITH an appt at 10a. Was told 1.5-2 hours... EIGHT hours later... camera not installed properly, dash board not connected again, hands free not reconnected, and sub woofer left disconnected. I will not be back. Had higher hopes, was reasonable when came back for them to fix the items they messed up. Was told I'd be in and out as a priority. I arrived at 1010am... they open at 10.... Was given a surley attitude by the guy behind the counter when I expressed frustration on taking another day off to get this fixed. No attempt at customer service, no concern for their mistakes. This was done on a 2018 Jeep... Go elsewhere unless your pants hang below your butt and you smell like weed. read more

Took my truck to have a back-up camera installed. They wrecked my truck by rear ending someone then tried to blame it on the other party. Broke my side view mirror and tried to deny it. Had window tint installed. 150$. Not bad. I asked for the tint and then said I wanted the remote start that they have advertised for $89.99 painted in 2 foot letters on the side of their building. Guy says, "Sure, your total will be 400$." I said "I must have misunderstood something, your sign says "Remote Start $89.99". They guy says "Ya, that's for the part" "Ah, Very tricky" I say. "Not really" he says. I paid for it in advance because, depending on when they finished, I would have to pick it up after hours. Told em that if they got it done in the time frame they said it would be done, I could swing by and get it before I went to class, but if it was after that, I'd have to come after class got out at 10pm. I didn't get a call when it was done. First thing I discovered when I got in the driver's seat...it smelled like cigarette smoke. Really pissed me off. Next thing I noticed, my carseats were detatched. Now, I do admit, I should have been more conscientious when I dropped it off that they were gonna need those out of the way. That part is my fault. I'm glad they didn't reinstall them, but it would have been nice to have received a call just to let me know. Needless to say, won't be going back. read more

Big Papas Car Audio owe down!!!!! Well the amp was going on and off and I just wanted them to check it! They said it was (1A passenger side ) blown speaker and replaced it. Then this was what crazy! They blew the other one (2 B Left side driver) and charged me for it. Not only THAT I just got the speaker 8 months ago! JL Audio Enclosed Subwoofer Systems are warrantied against defects in materials and workmanship for Two (2) Years from purchase date. JL Audio will, at its discretion, repair or replace any products that exhibit defects in materials and/or workmanship during the warranty period. So I paid $300 and ran out of their 11;56 AM -3.30PM to replace a speaker? Do not waste your money with this place. I took my wife's car there for a window tint job because somebody had recommended this place. I was supposed to get the car back same day, and I called them at 2:45 yesterday and was told that the car would be ready by 5:30. I get there at 5:30 just to be told they hadn't even started it and they would need to have it until the next day. I pick it up today and was not even offered anything as a discount for the headache of not having it done on time and losing the car for another day. The tint job is not the level I said that it was supposed to be. it is one of the worst tint jobs I've ever seen in my life with a million bubbles all over the car windows and tears that I can see in the tint. There are gaps in the tint film around rear windshield wiper connection, and various other areas. I will never waste my time or money with this shop ever again. What we got was not worth the $70 I saved because now I'm going to have to pay a reputable company to strip it, and then give us the tint job I asked for. read more

Walked in an hour before close. There were 3 people "working". One guy got up to answer the phone while two other employees were sitting in the waiting area. We walked up to the counter clearly looking for help or we had questions. One of the guys sitting down watching tv turns, nods, and goes back to watching tv. Once the employee got off the phone he continued his conversation with the other employees and proceeded to use some foul language. All in all, very poor customer service. Five Stars all the way. I had new speakers and head unit installed at Best Buy (Alpine and not cheap) and it sounded terrible. I took it to Big Papa's, instead of selling me something he walked out, sat in my car, listened to the sound and asked what I wanted it to sound like. After his recommendation it's night and day. I had two 12'' Kicker Comp R's and a Memphis PRX1500.1 amplifier installed in my Dodge Durango. They also installed a Kenwood DDX376BT radio. They charged me $1,600. The subs can be purchased for $429.95 from Kicker. The amp can be purchased for $449.95 from Memphis. The radio can be purchased for $249.99 from Kenwood. If you spend some time looking you can find the items cheaper because they are old models. Do the math and it equals $1,129.89 so we'll round up to $1,130.00. They charged me $470.00 for the low grade wire , rca's , and installation. When I saw the garbage aluminum wire they used to power my amp I took a closer look. I know for fact the amp they sold me was refurbished because the mounting brackets for the amp were cracked and when i unmounted it to see what was going on I saw a sticker on the the bottom that read reconditioned. Then I notice the power knob on the radio would adjust the volume just from touching it. So I'm pretty sure it was used considering the volume knob was wore out. You can tell the subs are an older model based of the color of the cones which is a shade of grey and the new model are more of a black which I confirmed by going to a different dealer. I'm not going to say what dealer but they told me that there is a rumor that they sell used equipment and charge you for brand new equipment. This place is a rip off and I don't know how they are still in buisness. They sell B product at A prices. Don't let them get you like they got me because you will be redoing what they did just like I had to. read more

Big poppa's (BP) just doesn't seem the same since they moved from red bank. The last time I was there in 2014, I was getting beats put into my 2014 Ford Edge. After a lot of time waiting for them to finish they wound up asking me to purchase some more wire saying it needed something else. After purchasing that, it took more considerable amount of time for them to get finish. Once finished it was Banging until i got down the street and it cut off. I brought it back and they took another annoying amount of time to finish. After letting the manager know how i felt about the job, time, etc... He let me know he had pretty new employees and with that I was dismissed. I asked if i could have a discount or maybe a credit towards something and he told me no. More recently, as of this week (4/28/17), I have called and called to get the same beats I bought re-installed in another car. I was advised that they only make appointments for individuals who bought the beats from them on Saturdays. when i advised Brian that I had purchased them from BPoppas, he still did not give me a date, preferring to tell me to keep calling daily to see when they would be available and do a walk in. After calling all week; getting someone to pick up and other times not, getting a person to pick up and then holding for Brian for several minutes to only be left there or hung up on, I still never got any answers. SO, I will not beg BP's to take my money, I AM DONE! Once again I am left unsatisfied with their customer service!!!!!! read more

Don't waste your time or money here. I got a set of speakers and that I paid almost $450 for and within 2 weeks they had problems and I brought them in to get looked at and they said it was going to be another $100 for a new speaker which I paid for as well and they replaced my amp because it blew out in just 2 weeks but there was no warranty for the speakers. After I got that fixed another 2 weeks goes by and the same problem started happening again with all new stuff. I spent $550 already on these speakers that were originally $450 and the second time I went back they told me the amp blew again but they didn't know why and all they could tell me was spend another $175 on another amp and there would be no more problems. They wanted me to spend $725 total on a $450 set of speakers within the first month of buying them just to get the speakers that they sold me for $450 to work properly. DO NOT GO HERE. They aren't that expensive and you can see why if you try to give them your business. They are VERY unprofessional. I went in with my amp and subs working fine, I just needed my side speakers' wiring fixed so all of my speakers can be up to par. I had an appointment(not a walk in) and I dropped my car off before they opened because I had work. When I called, before I came to pick it up after work, they said they weren't finished yet, even after 8.5 hours. That's fine I guess, there's nothing I can do so I wasn't that mad. That was until I arrived and see them working on other cars while mine is just sitting there collecting dust. Then, after I make them finish mine, I pay them(more than what it was supposed to be originally because "it was more difficult than they expected") and drive off. When I hear my system, it's worse than when I brought it there. I check everything and see that they messed with my amp and it sounds like I have a busted speaker.(because they like to "test out" all the systems passed their full potential) They obviously deny ever touching my amp and they say everything was working perfectly when they were done. It's my word against theirs, so I guess I'm just SOL. I know I won't ever go their again. read more
