I had such a positive experience at this Midas location. I was able to get an appointment for an oil change quickly. They got me in and out in a very timely fashion (30-45 min, as promised). They noted the repairs my car needed without being pushy or trying to upsell services. The place is clean, there is coffee, it's usually not busy. The location is superb: close to rookwood shopping plaza so you can walk to grab some food or shop while you wait. The pricing is very reasonable. David is an excellent employee who goes above and beyond in ensuring customer satisfaction. He was incredibly patient and understanding. I highly recommend this place. read more

Recently I had two cars serviced at this location and had bad experience. For the first car, I was told that the battery was bad. Since I always change battery at AutoZone and have warranty there. I brought my car to AutoZone and was told the battery was good. For the second car, my services were oil change and tire rotation. It turned out the rotation was not done. I recently got a muffler replaced on my Toyota. I was extremely disheartened with the first (and second) attempt to fix it by this shop. It turns out, it was not their fault. Bill and his staff calmly walked me through what the issue was with the replacement muffler and because I was dissatisfied, Bill ordered me a new muffler (different style) free of charge. His calm demeanor and the positive attitude of the staff made me feel more calm and less anxious (because honestly, with car issues, I become a hot mess). We got the situation all straightened out and while at first I'd have given this place a half star, I would now say I'll be going to them for all my car needs because of their personal attention to my situation and the way they handle themselves. I had an oil change in the past, and that went very well. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need or scare me into getting repairs done. Very smooth and straightforward. Today, however, I went again and the man in charge was incredibly rude to both myself and the woman ahead of me in line. He was very sexist and condescending. To the woman ahead of me in line describing the problem with her car, he interrupted her with "Stop trying to be a mechanic. Seriously." Then later he said, "Girls put too many things on their keychains. It's bad for the keys." Both of these statements were followed by condescending lectures to the woman ahead of me. For me, he informed me that it would take a couple hours to do an oil change because of their schedule, which didn't work for my schedule, but he very kindly offered to fill up my tires (which I was worried about since I'd lost my pressure gauge and they hadn't been filled in a while). He proceeds to check my oil anyway and says "If you don't get your oil changed soon, I'm going to tell your dad on you." I'm a 30 year old woman. My dad has nothing to do with this transaction. I am aware I need my oil changed. That's why I'm here. My daddy doesn't take care of me, sir. To the guy filling my tires he says, "I've got to scare her into changing her oil so that she doesn't have to buy a car every year" My car is 8.5 years old. I had a sudden flat tire in Mariemont square on Friday night. I dropped my car off to the nearest location which was the Midas on Wooster Pike. With no notice, I dropped my keys in the drop box and the next morning at 830am, they called me. Alex and Brandon had a solution for me when they called even though they didn't have my exact tire at their shop in stock, they drove across town, picked it up and had it fixed before noon! I couldn't be more pleased with their expertise and service! I will definitely make a point to go back there next time! Thank you guys so much! read more

I took my car to Midas at the Wooster Pike location after taking it to another car repair shop. I ended up at Midas because of poor service, treatment and communication at the other shop. The other shop had told me my AC had a leak and had already put dye in the system to identify it. I took it to Midas and they identified the true problem with my AC which was not a leak, but something completely different. Brandon, the manager was so helpful on the phone, calling me within a couple hours to let me know what was going on. The great communication was a pleasant surprise as I'm used to subpar communication in the past at any mechanic shop. They were able to fix the problem, and although it took a little longer than originally planned, they again were at least very good with communicating this and being as helpful as possible. I am always skeptical of mechanic/car shops but felt very comfortable Brandon and his crew not only knew what they were doing, but were being honest as well. I will gladly take my car back there for any future needs. read more

Definately a cheaper alternative to The Lube or the dealer, you have to wait a little while, but there's enough places to grab a bite or a beer nearby that it's not bad. They highlight things your car needs or could use, but they don't push or upsell when you pop in. Great if you have the time. read more

I had my car looked at and told what I needed at a different location but I wanted to be closer to home and have never had a bad experience at Midas so I chose to go to this one on Wooster pike believing I would have the same experience. I called around 1 o'clock in the afternoon July 1st and told the person I spoke to, Dave, what I needed and he gave me an estimate and guaranteed it would be done by tomorrow I just needed to come and sign the estimate and drop the car off. Everything was going smoothly his customer service was impeccable but when I got there that's when I had to talk to Godavi he ignored me when I tried to tell him that he was giving me the wrong papers to sign for some things i didnt need only when I had to repeat myself multiple times did he finally go get a manager who then pulled up the estimate we agreed on. I tried to understand that it was an honest mistake even though he tried to make me seem like I didn't know what i was talking about but when I called today he then told me basically the same things he said when he tried to make me sign the wrong estimate. Saying they had to do things to the car that he knew me and Dave did not agree on. Then refused to let me speak with Dave. He was completely belittling in both situations and he honestly is making me want to go pick the car up right now and take my $1200 elsewhere since it hasn't even been worked on yet. He does not need to be the first person people come into contact with when they enter your company because his customer skills are nonexistence to people he thinks are younger than him. read more

Went to this location to have a tire patched. Was told it would be an hour wait so I said that was fine and sat down. They then immediately took my car in and few minutes later said they couldn't find a leak in my tire and sent me away. I then went to a tire shop who found a nail in my tire right away in plain sight. I believe this shop first tried to scare me away with the hour wait (when there wasn't really a wait) and when that didn't work they said they couldn't find the leak! The location is a convenient stop on my way home and they are easy to schedule a appointment with and get oil changes done quickly. They don't close until 6:00 but I was told I would have to come back on Monday for the reason there weren't enough workers to service my car. I will never go back to this location again. It was raining hard. I pulled into this Midas location, all the power was out, cars are stuck in the lifts and the entire neighborhood has no electricity. Whelp, I am one of those drivers who will drive my car until the wheels fall off, literally. My VW passenger side window fell into the door and my car was going to be soaked. I was hoping for an easy quick fix to the electric button or something...but no. Tony is the area manager and he brings out a bunch of tools, some creativity and about 25 minutes of elbow grease detaching my door panel, sliding the glass up the window and then bolting it in place so I can order a part and still drive safely. Old school service model with stellar mechanical knowledge, and all the while nothing but positive commentary about the company, his crew, and even my 16 year old car. All for free. Refused to take anything. This does not happen in the modern world. THANK YOU. read more

The very first time I called in for an oil change I was needing to do it on the spot and it was almost closing time. I was apologetic and asked about making an appointment. The guy who answered was not only kind and considerate in his response, he was very open and friendly. He pushed aside my concern and told me I should be fine if I came when I said I would and they would be happy to help. The work was done and I was satisfied and relieved. That was many months ago. Recently I went in again, this time early in the morning. My car was taken care of efficiently and effectively. The staff seems to take pride in their job. They respect and value their customers. I was provided with honest and accurate information. I know that I am in good hands here. (This time last time around I had some more time to spend, and while I was having my car serviced I ended up speaking with another customer who felt the exact same way. So I know it is not just me. I also had a chance to chat with Dan, and ask some follow-up questions. He was easy to talk to and gave me reasonable and honest answers. ) I just wanted to say "Well done!"
