I had a scheduled appointment with Goodyear this morning at 11:00 a.m., and they took my vehicle into the bay at approximately 11:30 a.m. The vehicle was returned to me at 12:44 p.m., with the indication that the work was complete. However, upon merging onto the highway, I noticed a vibration in the steering wheel and a slight vibration in the floorboard, prompting me to contact them immediately. I inquired of the representative at Goodyear if anyone had test driven my car after they put the new tires on the vehicle. He stated no , they actually did not. They just pulled it out of the bay into the parking spot . He suggested that the tire vibration was normal as I purchased a budget tire and they had originally recommended a more expensive tire that would be quieter. I explained they were the same brand and specific type Kelly Edge that I had previously had on the vehicle. He then proceeded to state that the weights may not have been installed in the tires and requested that I return to the facility. I accordingly drove back downtown, and after a 45-minute wait, my vehicle was returned to me. I was informed that an issue had occurred, causing the weights to fall out of the front tire and one out of the rear tire, and I was assured that the issue was now resolved. However, upon approaching the highway again, I noticed a vibration in the steering wheel and a different type of vibration, accompanied by a more pronounced vibration at the accelerator pedal. read more

One year ago, I gave Good Year in downtown Cincinnati a glowing 5-star review. Refresher -- over the years, I have purchased 2 complete sets of tires, a couple of one-offs, countless oil changes, and many other repairs and maintenance. Many thousands of dollars. Today, I'm withdrawing that review for shoddy service. Two weeks ago, all of my tire sensor alerts flared up -- low pressure, calibration necessary, etc. I called GY per usual, but this time --- sorry, you can't leave it. Pull up to the first garage and we will inflate your tires. I did. The tech filled the tires. I rolled down my window as he walked away and asked if he was going to address the alert on my dash. "Drive at 25 miles per hour for awhile and the sensor should go off." And then he emphasised, "should." One week later, the sensor remains at high alert , even though it should have resolved itself pursuant to your so-called service. I don't do business by conditional clauses. Good-Bye, Good Year! I stopped at this store had trouble starting car sometimes. Wanted alternator checked that that was problem. Mechanic said he could test it after he finished some other stuff. But said he didn't think was alternator was the problem possibly the battery. But said bring back tomorrow will check for you. I went to auto zone get checked. Yes needed battery. Got it fixed and new set of tires from the local shop. One of you post looks over the top and puts the little shops down with a discount suggestion. Over the years I have bought tires and had service performed at this Goodyear location and have never been disappointed. If you need major repairs, their credit card usually has a 6-12 months same as cash deal, depending on which promotion they're running. They're also conveniently located downtown near the courthouse. And, they have free wifi in their lounge area. The staff is courteous & professional and the facility seems to be orderly and clean. buyer beware. came in to get an opinion on shaky steering. they basically said new tires and alignment would take care of everything. what a surprise, still shaking. ended up being an axle problem. don't waste your time here. go somewhere with honest people who know what they are doing. read more
