Been here twice, once was a couple years ago and then again just the other day. I've come because I've gotten flat tires from getting nails or bolts stuck. They will repair the tire for free! And they are very accommodating in getting you in and having your car fixed asap as long as you're willing to wait. They are very pleasant and friendly, and will explain things well so that you completely understand and talk through options to help you pick the best option for yourself. When I couldn't have my tire repaired because it was too old and so I decided to just buy a whole new set of tires, I asked if I could have tires similar to what I already had and they recommended another type that was better in their opinion, cheaper, and had a sale running. I buy all my tires only at Tire Discounters. Reasonable price, free tire rotations and air in your tires. Just recently I scheduled an appointment online to be dropped off on a Saturday. A representative called me the following day and wasn't to get me in that same week but the following. I needed and oil change, tires rotated and the inspection is free. I knew my brakes were giving out so they looked at that too. I got a call and then definitely needed new brakes and rotors. It was a bit pricey but I had to get it done. The technician was very detailed on the phone and honest. It was ready that same day. It now drives like a champ and I feel like the experience was a smooth transaction. They confirmed it was t a wiring issue, so I asked for an estimate to fix it....$501.99 is what Tire Discounters wanted to charge to replace the all plastic insert where the electric window and door locks are on his Honda Accord for ONE button that was broken. My son ordered the part online for $25 and we YouTubed the instructions......15 minutes later, his window now works fine. Only thing that took so long was 4 screws and being careful not to crack the casing. This is SO wrong!!! read more

He has helped me on numerous occasions, generously offering his labor when he could've charged me for small things. It always puts a smile on my face when I drive by their hilarious joke of the day on their sign every day. One day I was having a really bad day and I looked up from my dashboard and their sign turned it around. This place is run by a bunch of liars. I went there on 2/1/19 and requested a standard oil change. The salesman on duty said, "That will be $44.99." I was like, "Whoa! My last oil change here was less than $30!" He replied, "We've pretty much done away with that one. So you can either get an oil change for $44.99 or $69.99." I went with the one for $44.99. Later, the guy told me that my left wiper blade was the wrong size for my car and offered to replace it for $19.99. I said okay to that, too. The next day, to satisfy my curiosity, I called the store and asked how much it would cost for a basic oil change. He said, "Our conventional oil change is $28.99." I told him about my experience the previous evening, and he went on the defensive. "Well, did you sign your name to the work order? If you did, then you got what you agreed to!" I said, "That's not the point. Your employee lied to me about your prices." He said, "You need to calm down. What do you want? A free oil change next time?" I told him no, because I did not plan on going back to Tire Discounters. He told me he'd refund the difference--$15--and that it would take 10 - 12 days to show up on my credit card. I told him I was going to report my experience to the corporate office, the BBB, and Yelp, and I asked what his name was. He refused to tell me. I did call the corporate office. The woman who answered the phone apologized profusely, assuring me that "this is not the way Tire Discounters does business" because it's a "family-run business." She told me that the employees would be "dealt with" and that I should expect a phone call from the owner of Tire Discounters on Monday, 2/4/19. Guess what? As of 2/5/19, I still haven't heard from the owner. So apparently, this IS the way Tire Discounters does business. To add insult to injury, the wiper blade that was installed does a terrible job of cleaning my windshield. There's a 10" spot directly in my line of vision that it won't even touch. The old wiper blade--the one they said was the wrong size--did a perfectly fine job of cleaning my windshield. So apparently, they lied about that, too. GO TIRE DISCOUNTERS!!!! You managed to swindle a cancer-stricken veteran on a fixed income out of $34.99 by lying through your teeth! You guys rock! read more

Beware! They may try to up-sell you for services you do not need. I recently took my car in for routine service and they told me my 2015 car with under 40k miles needed new control arms "sooner rather than later". This is not typical for a relatively new vehicle. I wanted a second opinion and took my car to the dealership. They said there is absolutely nothing wrong with the control arms and even put my car up on the rack to show me. Tire Discounters was either unknowledgeable about my car or they were intentionally trying to mislead me into paying $850 for a repair I did not need. Very impressed with my visit to Tire Discounters today. I had a slow leak in a tire. I called them in the morning to ask how soon it could be looked at. They said it would be about a three hour wait. When I dropped the car off at 9am they said it would be done around 1pm. I said fine and left to go the gym. 30 minutes later got a call saying they looked at the tire and it couldn't be fixed, I needed a new one. Ok fine. By the time I was ready to leave the gym the new tire was on and I was good to pick it up. So an estimated 3 hour wait, turned into 5 hour wait, but ended up being a 1 hour wait. I was impressed. I would never go to Tire Discounters ever again. I took my car end of January 2019 to have 4 put on. They tell me I need to bars one on front n rear passenger side bearings on rear driver side. Before I okay work I asked Manager if it will be worth fixing cuz I don't want to keep putting money into it I would take it and trade it in. He said no after this it will be good to go for another 2-3 thousand miles. It started throwing me to the right after I picked it up. I had to go our of town when I got back I took it right in for only that problem only for them to come back an tell me I need $1000's of dollars more work down. I was so pissed after I stressed to them from the beginning. Tell me how could it be good to go then 3 weeks later all my mounts on engine n Trans needs replaced. I have leaks. My calipers were falling off plus so much more to list. DO NOT EVER GO THERE. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. Maybe because I was a women and they seen dollar signs. Be warned, this could happen to you! Tire Discounters drained my transmission fluid by mistake and gave me double oil instead of oil change! Monday I have been going to Tire Discounters for over 20 years, initially for tires and then for more general automotive services. I brought my car in for a routine oil change (full synthetic oil has a manufacturer recommended interval of 10,000 miles, but I get the oil changed at 5,000 mile intervals). I picked my car up at the end of the day, Monday, and I noticed a rough idle in the car. After just pulling out on the street, I circled around and brought the car back; and Matt, the Service Advisor, acknowledged the rough idle. He and his technicians tried to discover the problem (bumped sensor, loose coil wire, something else?). He checked the oil level (car has no dipstick, only gauge on screen in car). "Oil level was full." After about an hour and a half, we called it quits with a plan for me to bring the car back for more diagnosis the next day. I headed home and when I was on the on ramp to the highway, the engine free-revs and I get a dashboard warning that I have no reverse gear. I pull off on the shoulder, put the car in park, restart it, and I continue on. Now the transmission will not shift up or down (stays in 3rd or 4th gear). I stop on our street, call Matt and let him know I am bringing the car back. He drives the car around the parking lot, acknowledges the slipping transmission and he puts the car in the bay for the night. Tuesday Matt calls in the early afternoon. He found the problem. The technician who "changed the oil" actually drained the automatic transmission fluid and then put new oil on top of old oil in the car. So the transmission fluid is nearly empty and the crankcase has 14 quarts of oil in it rather than the capacity of 7 quarts. A couple of quarts of oil too much in an engine can cause catastrophic engine failure (hence the "do not overfill" warnings), and no or very little transmission fluid can cause transmission failure. Mistakes happen, so I try my best to be understanding. Matt does mention that the cost of the Audi transmission fluid they purchased was high. Wednesday So my 2012 Audi A6 which has 65,000 miles and a maintenance-free transmission fluid (ZF, the manufacturer says it should never need to be changed), now has the real potential for premature failure. I tell Matt that I would like to speak to the owner. He refers this to his regional manager, and Susan in customer service calls me. She wants to offer me some assurance over the phone, I ask for a written 5-year guarantee that if the transmission or engine suffer failure in 5 to 6 years, Tire Discounters will replace either. Jeremy, Customer Service Representative, calls me back and says Tire Discounters will not sign any such written agreement, and that there will be no further communication with me. A few days later, when I am able to get the car into a competent Audi service shop, the technician checks the transmission fluid level and it is low by a quart. I am not trying to come out of this with something more than what I had initially. I am, though, warning all other car owners to stay away. Oil changes seem like a pretty straightforward service, and you may save $20 on an oil change over a dealership or a competent shop. But is it worth the cost of a rebuilt engine or transmission? Not for me. read more

I had a recall notice for Nissan recently and had my oil changed while I was at the dealer. The dealer indicated I needed new brakes and tires. I didn't have the time to take care of that (and assumed it would be more expensive) so I asked for a quote from them. Then I called around and was happy to find one of the closest locations to me was a Tire Discounters that also had the best price and tires they could get for me that day (I was surprised that it was even cheaper than the AAA store with my AAA discount). The tires were much better quality than dealer quoted me and a at a better price. When I went into the store (which was spotless and comfortable) they already had notes from my call and the order was typed up and ready to go. The salesperson, Josh, apologized they didn't have the tire on display for me to see, I said that is fine as I had read the reviews, but he insisted I wait a second and went back to pull one out of inventory to make sure I knew what I was buying. Score one bonus point for customer service and transparency. I signed the paperwork and told them that the dealer mentioned I needed brakes, he said he would look into that, finally I mentioned I might need wiper blades changed (I know, easy to do on my own, but figured I would see what the price was). A few hours later I got a phone call that the car was ready and that they checked my brakes and said they didn't need changed right away and suggested that I check back in a few months. They saved me some money there when they could have easily just agreed with the dealer and sold me new brakes and installation! They then told me my wiper blades were just dirty and they cleaned them and I didn't need new ones. More money saved. Furthermore, at checkout they told me about a $70 rebate for the tires they made sure they had printed and ready for me (that I must have not even realized I was getting). I will be going back to this location for more car services than just tires including oil changes. I always like finding car service that is more efficient and cheaper than the dealer. read more

Women customers beware! I recently got a flat tire thanks to a piece of metal I ran over, and took my car to Tire Discounters in hope of a simple patch. I called the store at 6:45pm (they close at 7pm) and explained that I didn't like driving on the spare and asked if they would stay open until I arrived, thankfully the manager agreed (I arrived by 6:58pm). The tech looked at the tire and told me it could not be patched. He was very quick to suggest a new tire for me to purchase and went on to tell me I needed 4 new tires. My car only has 26,000 miles, 4 new tires seemed a bit odd. I decided to hold off purchasing anything until I could speak to a friend's dad who owns an auto body shop on the other side of town. I took my car to him the following day - and magically he could patch the tire!! He also said that my tires are perfectly find and new tires would be a waste of money. This is a friend's father - someone who truly cares about my well-being! Tire Discounters thought they had a damsel in distress and were 100% going to take advantage of the situation.
