5/5 stars! Writing this review the third time I've been to Overbeck. The first time was a standard oil change, the second time was getting a full set of new tires with an alignment and balancing and they repaired a broken tire pressure sensor. The alignment was done properly for the first time, probably ever in my 11 year old car, according to the tech. It was so rusted stuck that had to use a torch to heat everything up so it would release. And I just took it to a Toyota dealership less than 1 year ago for an alignment. When I told the staff this they said it looked like it had never been touched. So it seems to me that everyone else (Toyota and firestone) besides Overbeck wanted to stay on schedule, not getting behind, and just did the bare minimum. And let me tell you what- my car drives like it's new again. The third time was 2 days after my tire pressure sensor was replaced- I took it back in to have it looked at becuase the low tire pressure light came back on. They told me the one they replaced was only intermittently working and was therefore defective. So they replaced it for free and sent me on my way. The best part about this? They have a line that they text confirm your appointment, send quotes to, etc. I send a text to this number around 10pm on a Wednesday to try to secure an appointment early the next day. To my surprise, someone wrote back and told me to bring it right in in the morning, no appointment necessary. When I got there, they said "we're dropping everything to get you on your way", And even offered me a loaner car for the day, knowing I had to get to work. I declined because I had the capability to work in their cozy lobby on their wifi network. I feel like I'm truly treated like family here, they even greeted me by name today (which I find impressive since I've only been here three times). I'm so so satisfied. I just happened to come across this place because I got a coupon in the mail for an oil change. I'm so glad I decided to bring my car here. They want to make sure they're doing the best work possible and making sure they have happy clients. read more

I'm not sure if they can fix anything but they really know how to rack up a bill. I took my truck in for a diagnostic on my sunroof and an oil change and they sent me a proposal for $6000 which included a host of problems I didn't ask for. I do not recommend this group. It's your standard hustle car repair shop. Don't get taken. read more

My husband and I have been having issues with an unknown shake on our truck. We took it into Overbeck (Springdale location) and the mechanics were able to take our truck back right away. They looked at it for a bit and were able to give us a quote within a few hours. Once we agreed to have them do the work, they started working on it right away and had it fixed within a few hours! I don't know enough about cars to know if we got a good deal, but I really appreciate how quickly they took care of us. read more

I took my Chevy volt here for regular maintenance and inspection as it neared 100k. Quality fast and efficient service with clear communication and they scheduled me at my leisure with a loaner vehicle. Tough to do better than that. Price might have been a little higher than what I was expecting, but was in line with dealers and definitely has the certifications to back up their work. read more

More like"Over-Priced"....I took my Honda Element here to have the spring bolts and gaskets replaced between my header pipe and catalytic converter, it was producing a small exhaust leak and my check engine light was on. I told him that it was probably faulty work from when my catalytic converter was replaced 2 years prior due to theft. After they had my vehicle I got a call with a quote for the job at $250. This seemed pretty steep for a very easy job (literally remove 2 rusty bolts, place new gaskets in and put 2 new spring bolts in. I'm in a pinch to get this done due to cross country road trip so I went for it. What really chapped my butt was the fact that they then tried to sell me on a new catalytic converter for $1500 because it was "opportune due to already working on the exhaust and my check engine light was showing a catalytic converter code". They must think I'm an idiot, obviously the converter is going to throw a code when there is a leak proximal to it. They didn't even fix the original problem and check to see if the converter was compromised, they simply tried to sell me a very expensive part that I likely don't need. They also quoted me $250 dollars to change 4 spark plugs and "clean the throttle body" which likely means they just spray some crap in there..... I can't recommend this place less.... Edit: one thing they did do that I appreciate: I had brought a serpentine belt that I had intended to install myself but never got around to doing. When they quoted me for that work I declined. A couple days later, I noticed the belt wasn't in my car. I popped the hood and it appears to be installed, but they didn't charge me....I'll give ya a couple stars for that... read more

Warning! This place will take advantage you. Trust me. They told me they would fix my AC for 186 and my headlight for 100. Two hours later they said they can't fix either but I owe them 286 for looking. AWFUL. It would be comical if it wasn't this disgusting. read more

My favorite non-dealer alternative went out of business. I was thrilled to find Overbeck less than a mile from my home. They were pleasant to deal with, and less than I expected to pay. There were some items they checked and decided could wait until my next maintenance, saving me money. read more

I treat my car like it's my child. It's the first car I've ever had, and I fully expect it to last a long while, as Honda's should! The hardest part about moving to a new area: finding new doctors, a new hairstylist, and a new mechanic. I saved finding a new mechanic for last; I was very nervous and wanted my car to be taken care of well! My dad suggested Steve Overbeck's garage. He made the new suggestion because he had heard him on WVXU doing a car show called Autoline. I figured, well, if he does a radio show, he must know what he's doing! I was able to make an appointment quickly for the next week. My car is approaching 50,000 miles, so I opted for an oil change and asked them to suggest any repairs for the miles, as well as a new wiper blades. I waited in the shop, and it took about an hour and a half. Steve's son Matt worked on my car, and his wife, Ann, manned the front desk and phones. Several different customers came in while I was waiting, and all of them seemed to know Steve and Ann well, some even stopping in Steve's office for a chat. That gave me a good feeling- they obviously know their clients well, and their clients seem very loyal! My 50,000 mile check included checking all fluids (brake and washer fluid), checking all lights, axles, exhaust pipe, tire pressure, and lubing up my doors. With that, the oil change, and new wiper blades, the total came to about $120. A little more than I was expecting, but they did a good and thorough job. The only thing I thought was odd; Matt only talked to me because he stopped by the front desk for a paper. Ann explained everything that was done, but I personally like to hear it from the mechanic that my car is OK and see if they have any suggestions for future workups. If you want good service, go here. If you want inexpensive, you may want to go elsewhere. I brought my car in for an oil change and new brakes. I was prepared to wait for it, but they were kind enough to find me a ride home and then back to the shop to pick up the car later that evening. Excellent communication with upfront pricing before any work was done and they were able to explain everything to me without making me feel like an idiot. Like I said, not inexpensive, but so far seems worth it. read more

Had my hybrid batter replaced, which is around $5k repair at a dealership. They did it for about $2800. 4 months later the battery was failing again, they are replacing it again for free with no hassle. They are so professional, caring and honest. I have heard it said that auto mechanics often take advantage of women who come in alone for a car repair and I feel that in my case, this was very true. I took my car into the Overbeck location in Amelia because my rear brakes were making a grinding noise. I fully expected to hear bad news and they did not disappoint me. Not only did they inform me that my brake pads were completely wore out, but the rotors needed replacing as well as the calipers. Not knowing any better, I agreed to the full repair, which came to a little over $1,000.00. During this time of covid, it hit me hard, but they gave me the impression that I had no other choice. After it was all done, I spoke with my son who, although is not a auto mechanic, is very knowledgeable on some car issues, including the brake system. He told me that the rear brakes only use about 30% of the braking in a car and calipers rarely if ever, need replacing even if the pads are completely worn. Also, unless the rotors are extremely warped, they should not have been replaced. Overbeck's upsold me when it was not necessary to do so. Shame on them!! I do not recommend them!! read more

Always great service. The price is a little higher, in line with their quality. I haven't taken my cars anywhere else in 10 years.

I thought I would find the problem to my car but unfortunately I did not. As soon as I drove it off the lot the engine light came on. The group was honest, negotiated the cost and offered a service with my oil changes to hopefully catch anything before the cars engine would become damaged. I will bring it back to them for the oil changes for this reason. read more

First time in. Had to have some major work done, timing belt, water pump, starter, rack and pinion and a few other things done and their prices were comparable to some of the other shops I checked with. Service was great. Will take all my vehicles there from now on. read more
