I had been searching for a go-to car spot in NKY and boy did I hit jackpot with Konens. They are fantastic here! Can't say enough good things about this place. From the initial phone call, the staff was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. While I'm sure they were busy when I called, they didn't act rushed as some others may be when interrupted from their work. You'd think this responsiveness to the phone would result in slower turnarounds for clients, but this wasn't the case. We dropped our car off on a Wednesday morning and picked it up Thursday evening, despite several issues needing addressed. While we brought in the car with a couple specific issues in mind, they completed a full inspection. Their transparency in the process was what really impressed me. They use a software that allows a report to be generated and shared with the vehicle owner when their inspection is complete. As you can see in the screenshot, it categorizes things by urgent, needing addressed but can wait, and no issue. I then spoke with staff on the phone to decide which issues I wanted addressed during the current encounter and which we wanted to leave unaddressed. Mark was honest about what things were actively unsafe and which could be delayed until later on down the road. He provided me several price points depending on which things I wanted fixed and which I did not without ever sounding bothered or inconvenienced. When we had determined all the services that were wanted, I received a link to an invoice detailing each task and the corresponding cost in addition to an option to pay online. They have convenient lockboxes mounted outside their shop for after-hours car pickup with personalized access codes for each customer. The only downside, if there are any, is the tight parking lot they have to work with. I can see how it can be difficult to navigate when the shop is busy, which should be always because of the superb service they provide. We stumbled upon this garage years ago and they've treated us well. Most importantly, they are honest. We have several cars - from historic to new - and they handle them all, including basic oil changes. On one occasion, they replaced a part on our car and it didn't fix the problem, so they didn't charge us. I've even stopped by for a quick, on the spot diagnosis. On two occasions, we thought something was wrong, so we took it in. Turns out there was nothing wrong - so they didn't charge us anything! Couldn't be happier with their service. read more

This place was recommended by several members of my family who have been coming here for years and I found out yesterday for myself why. I had a tear in my tire and needed it patched ASAP. I called here the next morning and they were able to squeeze me in without any questions. I took my tire down on my lunch break and by 5pm, I stopped back down and they had the tire repaired and put it back on my car in no time. I was impressed at the level of customer service I received. Having a hole in your tire is a real inconvenience, but these guys took care of everything and the problem was behind me in less than 24hrs. If I would have taken my car to one of the "big names" they would have tried to tell me I needed a new tire - saying they wouldn't be able to patch it - and would have tried to convince me to purchase 4 new tires instead. (Yes - that exact thing has happened to me at the Firestone in Newport when I needed a tire patched last year on a different vehicle) read more

What wonderful service! I called on a Friday and got in on the next Wednesday for a tire rotation. They worked me into their schedule to help me out. Truly appreciated! I was only there for a half hour and while I waited I got the chat with a friendly staff member whom was very welcoming. I overheard a telephone conversation between a staff member and a customer about her car and he was VERY detailed about what was wrong and how much everything would cost. I am not from Cincy or OH or even KY. I was in town for one night from INDY. I noticed my rear right tire wasn't holding air very well. Konen's was the closest to my hotel. I took my VW Jetta there, and they got me right in, Konen's was very honest with me about the problem of my tire having a leak in the side wall and not being repairable. A few months ago Hyundai in Alex. KY said I needed front brakes and calipers to the tune of $600.00+. Took in to Konen's. They said calipers were definitely not needed and replaced brakes for 300.00. Visiting our son in Dayton, KY (next door to Bellevue) and on way out of town to drive home on 11/2/15, we noticed spongy brakes. Pulled off and googled the closest open repair shop, which happened to be Konen's Pittstop. Even though they had a full day of appointments, they worked us in (with no griping), quickly identified the problem and efficiently repaired it, at a reasonable cost (they could have gouged us since we had no other choice really).
