Long story short I had to leave my car overnight for some overpriced repairs however they did waive my 3% credit card fee of $127 but anyway Chris gave me my key fob. He asked me if I needed my keys that were on the other key ring and I said no they are from some other property. My son went and picked my car up brought it home said where's my keys he said this was all they gave me . I called Chris he said they didn'had them. I explained the situation they said they'd call me back. They did not call the next day, I called them Chris said let me look after work. I'll call you back. They changed a pinion seal. Drove home after parked in the garage. Next day big puddle of 90 weight oil under the rear end on the garage floor. Took it back ask them to fix it. Got it back. Still leaking from rear end. Did not trust them to fix it ,so I took it to my guys at brake masters. They put it up on the hoist. We discover they had bent the rear end cover prying on it . The seal was still leaking to and they had damaged the yook that the seal rode on to. Cost to repair was $700.00. Don't test these guys to do anything to your vehicle!!!! read more

Had a vibration in vehicle while driving. Took it in to have tire inspection (since I purchased tires at Big O). Service Member said they completed diagnostics and recommended new engine mounts (over $2k), and all new break pads, all totaling over $3000. He said this should solve the issue. Took vehicle for 2nd opinion at a reputable service repair shop (not even a tire shop). They located a tire bulge on 3 of the 4 tires that was very obvious. Engine mounts, CV joint, axel were all in great condition. BEWARE of this fraudulent business!! It is just despicable how they attempted to take advantage of the situation. I will NEVER use BIG O tires again, and will make sure people know this kind of disgusting practice takes place there. read more

Extremely poor customer service at this location in attitude and physical service. Faulty windshield wipers were installed on my car weeks ago when Arizona had its major rains. Since then, one of the windshield wipers has flown off leaving me with unusable wipers during our current rains. I've contacted the manager twice, who I was told is Tom Farmer, with no response. Like many other reviews mention, here and on Google, it's best to take your business elsewhere. Briefly, had my car serviced on 7/30, have been going here for years, was told I need among other things, new brakes. They changed the pads and had been hearing a fluttering sound, ended up taking my Jeep to the dealership, they said the after market brake pads were not big enough, had too much play, thus the noise, had to spend another $800 with the dealer. I came in today for an oil change since they had a special. I told the advisor I heard some rattling in the rear since this was a car my son drove and said to check out perhaps the suspension. When I came back to pay, after they diagnosed it needed new shocks and struts which I politely declined. I was surprised to see a $50 diagnostic fee included on bill. Just be aware of this as most shops I know of don't charge a fee for something I diagnosed on my own and just needed confirmation of it. So what I thought was a good deal didn't come out to a be a good deal, once you factor this unexpected added cost in. read more

I have been going here for quite some time now with both of my vehicles and have always dropped my vehicle off this time I waited for an oil change... One hour and 40 minutes I thought that was ridiculous then they told me I needed brakes and rotors and quoted me $1100 I questioned the price and what needed to be done they said my rotors definitely needed to be replaced, I told them I didn't want to have them done today so I went over to Brake Masters and they said my rotors definitely did not need to be done and they were machinable and was out the door for $550 moral to the story shop around these guys have always been high on everything from wiper blades to air filters I don't think I'll be going here any longer, Furthermore I feel like this place uses technical terms to trick you into getting more work done than you actually need! read more

The owner, Gabriel, and his manager, Tom, and assist as manager Chris, care nothing more than money. Further, they are reluctant to honor the tire or repair warranty as outlined on the Big O/TBC Corporation warranty website. I have had my vehicle in their shop for a total of three months this year. Excellent service! Very pleasant staff! I drove up to their shop right when they opened at 7am. My low tire pressure indicator light was on -and I had a long drive ahead of me. I was immediately directed to an open bay where my tires were inspected for leaks and filled to the proper PSI for no charge. They explained the low pressure was just due to sudden cold weather and that all my tires were a few PSI low. No new tires needed. No patching required. No money gouging. I was in a jam and badly needed 3 new tires for my car. They were almost closing but Jamin was able to squeeze me in. Jamin definitely hooked me up! The guys in the back finished my car in a zip and on top of that they were trying to close the shop as well. Jamin really took care of me, made sure that I had superb service and the best value for my buck! He was very detail oriented and you can tell he really cares about his customers. So happy that I was able to find this Big O by my house! After being told by the dealership it will be until October that they can pencil me in for an oil change! I did an online scheduling and confirmed it with Terrence. Mind you, this is right after I spoke with the dealership! Terrence was professional and put me at ease knowing I was going to get an oil change TODAY!! When I arrived, I felt truly welcomed I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. Jan 10, 2020 Appt scheduled for my wife's vehicle to have all 4 of her TPMS sensors changed out, and programmed at 10 am. I arrived about 9:45 am and checked in. I have not used Big-O Tires before. I brought with me 4 OEM TPMS sensors for install. Once checked in I went to the waiting area. I spent time using my phone while waiting. When I looked up 1-1/2 hours had gone by. I decided to see where they were at on the job. When I stood up I noticed our vehicle still was sitting in the same spot I had left it. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and went to get a bite to eat. I arrived back at close to 1 pm thinking that surely 3 hours later they would be done. The car was in their garage and not done. At 1:22 pm I was informed my car was ready 3-1/2 hours after dropping it off. When I went to my car all 4 of the nitrogen valve stem covers were not on. The store took care of that immediately. While I was there waiting, quite a bit of cursing was going on by employees. Yes, I realize this is a mechanics garage. But this type of language should not be happening in a business area of customers. What if a young child was present in the waiting room... The front of the shop was clean, they had a nice display of tires, and everything was neat and orderly. In listening to conversations with other customers regardless of gender, they were in my opinion being treated fairly, and talked to in a manner they could easily understand their vehicle repair issue(s). Why 3 stars, cursing by employees, delay between appt and actually servicing the vehicle, leaving all our valve stem caps off. Total for changing these 4 TPMS sensors out, and programming was $129. read more

Asked for synthetic oil change. Got full synthetic and $40 higher bill. Called and asked why I got full instead of just synthetic, they said they only have conventional, high mileage or full synthetic. High mileage is not a type the grade and additives added into the oil. Synthetic and full synthetic oils can make high mileage oils. read more

As a woman I'm always afraid I'm going to be ripped off for services that I don't really need. I felt at ease with him and he gave me an honest quote for my car and advised me what truly needed to be done and what I could wait on. I have never gone to big o tire i uasuly go to D tire down the road but this was close to our house. I set up my appointment online found the tires I wanted. Cool easy peasy... I show up that morning of the appointment the guy at the counter says how can I help you. I have an appointment 9am .he says yah it looks like the tires were ordered but they are not here we can have them here at 4:00 . But I told him I work at 3:00 till 11:00 and back to work at 6am I can do 3:00 the next day so I give them a second chance . While at work he calls to let me know that the tires are in and I can come get them put on. He then calls a hour later telling me the tires are in and I could get them on before they close. Yah I'm still at work obviously didn't listen to the conversation! I show up the next day at 3:00 to get 2 tires on and sit there for 2 hours the music in the shop is so loud blasting into the waiting area it was so unprofessional. There was only 2 of us in the waiting area so I finally after 2 hours go ask how much longer until my 2 tires are put on it's been 2 hours. the guy goes back and comes back out oh yah it's coming off the rack now. A minute later my truck is out . But before taking it back I had paid in full cash already . He asks are we checking the alignment I said oh sure. Well when they bring my truck out he says oh you owe $120 for the front end alignment . For the 2 tires they put on the rear. Wtf I won't be back to Big O at least not that one. read more

Called in to get a nail removed from the tire when I arrived and asked to get the nail removed they wanted me to leave that tire for about two hours stating that they were super busy walked out back into my car and saw the workers in their stations having fun chitchatting with customers and not working on cars this is a disappointment and a very in responsible way to treat customers and make them wait two hours for a nail removal read more

Decided to go to Big-O and pay the extra $7 bucks over WalMart to have a flat repair done, because when I called this shop, the guy on the phone said there was no wait. I arrived (literally) within 5 minutes and every bay was occupied. At that moment, I knew I had been duped. The guy who wrote me up said that they "just got real busy." You mean to tell me, that in the 5 mins it took me to get to your shop, you were able to service 6 customers, advise them, get their vehicles in the bay and up on the rack, then for every one of those customers except for one to disappear, nowhere to be found? These guys must be miracle workers!!! On the flip side, I was in and out within an hour (which is what I was quoted at the shop). One suggestion, if someone is just getting a flat repair done or getting new tires, but has dirty rims, please don't armor-all the tires. I know it's part of the "service," but it just muddies up and makes an already dirty rim look dirtier. read more

Ok, been going here for the last few years for basic maintenance on my vehicles. The issue that I had on one of my last visits, was that I got the buy 2 get 2 free deal on tires. When I went to pick the car up only 2 tires had been replaced. I pressed them on this and they put 2 additional tires on my car that were not identical but "equal" in quality. That was an annoyance that I am reminded of each time I look at my car. Should probably have told them to order the others in and I would wait, but lesson learned. Second issue, they put the wrong oil in my car. I don't claim to be a mechanic, but anyone with a honda v-tec engine should know to put the correct oil in the vehicle as to not plug up the tiny holes or change the way the engine behaves. Took the car back and told them, to which the reply was that it wouldn't hurt the car and it was fine but they would change it if I wanted. Well I did have them change it to the correct oil. The major annoyance on this was that I wasted a lot of my day dealing with this, so the convenience factor was definitely lost. Other experiences there have been generally positive, however there is a level of detail lost in the service. It's not enough for me to take it somewhere else, simply out of my own laziness and the convenience of having it so close, but I would definitely check everything. If you are fine with that then you should be OK. read more

Today I noticed my front tires were getting worn and too my car to get them rotated and an oil change. While talking to the employee I told him my car was pulling to the right so he suggested an Aalignment and balance. $133.00 So I bring my car home only to realize that my tires have not been rotated!! So I called them and they tell me that they are very bad and it is illegal to rotate them!! Nowhere on my paper does it say that my tires were not rotated and there are no notes saying anything about the shape of the tires!! So why do I get charged money to have an alignment and balance on tires that I'm just going to have to replace in a minute anyway. I feel like I got ripped off for sure!! read more

Our RV had been in storage for 3 months and when we picked it up recently, one of the tires was extremely low in pressure. We took it to the Big O store on East Main St. in Mesa. While very helpful, they didn't have nitrogen to refill the tire. So they referred us to the Big O tire store at 2113 S. Power Rd in Mesa. Chris, the assistant manager, was super helpful and professional in getting us back on the road. They checked and refilled all of the tires with nitrogen and removed a nail from the leaking tire.....all at no charge. I was in a real bind; it was a case of many things going wrong all at once. and the staff at Big-O took care of me. I had a large screw in my tire (in a place that prevented the tire from being repaired) and one of my lug nuts was stripped. I wasn't in a position to have my tires replaced at that very moment, but instead of turning me away they took care of me. 15 minutes after arriving they had swapped the damaged tire with the spare from my trunk, made the lug nut usable, and the most extraordinary thing was they didn't charge me.
