I wanted to write an update to my previous Big O tire service is had received. Kate went above & beyond to rectify the issue, but it was complicated, and time consuming. I opted to not continue the lug nut replacement for my hub cap, and I decided to chrome spray paint my problem away inwhich it was a success. This was the worst experience I've ever had at Big O Tires. I went in because one of my tires was low on air. Before I arrived, I even recorded a video of my tire, and there was no nail, screw, or any other object in it. After they inspected it, they brought me back and showed me what they claimed was causing the leak--a strange piece of wire lodged in the tire. It was very noticeable, and I know for a fact it wasn't there before because I had just inspected and recorded the tire myself. It felt like they were more interested in selling me a new tire than trying to repair the one I had. Based on my experience, I would avoid this location if you're hoping for an honest assessment or a repair instead of being pressured into buying new tires. read more

I start off by saying I have six vehicles and I work a lot of hours, so my time is important to me. I have been using these guys for years and never had a problem till the last two years. Almost every visit something is wrong or not attended to like I asked. I am a technical person with an engineering background. I give explicit instructions of what I need done. The last two times I went there I immediately had to turn the car around and come back. I bought two tires for my vehicle and asked for rotation at the same time. I didn't get out of the parking lot and the air pressure light was on. They had neglected to check the air pressure. Another time I had to buy a new rim for one of my vans and told them I wanted a new tire on the new rim put on and the worst old one put underneath the vehicle in the spare compartment. I get in the vehicle to leave and the spare was not in the spare location. It was in the back of the van sliding around. Not that big of a deal, but I asked for it to be done. Another time I had one of my vehicles get an oil change. When I moved the van a few days later, I noticed a puddle of oil underneath. The drain plug was loose and almost falling out. There was maybe 2-3 threads holding it in. I had to borrow a tool off of somebody near where I was in Sun City and tighten it. If I hadn't noticed that I would've needed a new engine for my vehicle. read more

You can tell that there is a good rapport between the crew and that they are there to be specialists and help you. There are always deals online, and they are willing to make sure you are getting the best option. I usually wait in store and always feel comfortable in the environment. A month ago I thought I was due for an oil change before a big drive and someone had looked at it and let me know hey, we can do it today but you can still wait, we don't want you to pay for something you don't need yet. Biggest ripoff car mechanics in the valley! Started off great. Showed up for appointment, couldn't find the appointment until I mentioned the manager's name. From there it's downhill hard. Had a coupon for a free oil change. It ain't free. Even if all you want is conventional oil, it's still only $30 off...so it would cost somewhere around $25. Don't bother with the inspection because the upsell on that is huge. My cabin and air filter were replaced by me less than a month ago. Brake and transmission flush were accomplished two months ago. Both were recommended by the shop. Told me it would only cost around $600 to fix. Seriously, if zero stars were an option, I would've used it. Avoid for all service. read more

Got 2 wheel alignments in one week and my truck was still veering to the right . Then when I asked them to do it again they didn't know it was on warranty so I told them . It's 5:57pm , they close at 6pm. Over the loud speaker he announced them to do my alignment again and the truck was done by 6:03pm. As I drove away the alignment was still messed up . Few things about this business. First a tire appointment means nothing. I understand they want to take as many walk ins as possible. I don't understand why a tire appointment takes 3+ hours to swap out two tires. If you have an appointment you should be in and out in under an hour. 2nd. Watch out for the extra charges. They added the tire protection on my order after I declined it over the phone. Could have been an honest mistake, I don't know. It was refunded once I found it but I left with a bad taste in my mouth. read more

The main reason is, they over torqued the lug nuts when they replaced my tires. I found this out when I took my car to the dealer to have oil change/tire rotation and the dealer couldn't rotate the tires for this reason, because they were worried it would crack my rims. read more

Had one of the best experiences at Big O's- Super friendly staff, great hosts, offering us water/coffee and providing us a comfortable space to sit down and wait for vehicle, respectful, and knowledgeable, not just with the person that was working with my car but overhearing other employees thoroughly explaining to other customers things going on with their vehicle. I appreciated all the updates I was given while waiting for my oil change, and I also appreciated the employees not being super pushy with extra unexpected things that needed to be done on my car. During the process of replacing a tire on my golf car that could not be repaired, the employee working on the replacement first mounted the tire inside out - the inside of the tire was mounted to the outside of the wheel. Then when trying to correct that problem, the employee managed to crack the wheel itself, making it unusable. While the store manager, Kate Baer, attempted to get the owner to reimburse me for the cost of replacing a set of four wheels on the car (we could not find a matching wheel to replace the one they damaged), he refused to do so. Thus, I would be very careful about going to this store for any golf car tire work. I know I will not be returning to them. read more

First instead of talking to me to let me know what was going on they made us wait for over an hour to tell m we that they would not honor their own warranty... When I spoke to Mike at the BigO tire in Tempe where I originally bought the tires, he shared that the warranty is cut and dry. There was no reason for them to not honor the BigO tire warranty! He suggested I go to another BigO tire so I did and what do you know AJ took care of me, honoring their warranty. I would not recommend them at all. I came here for a (free) oil change because I received a "welcome to the neighborhood" coupon in the mail. I called this location to ask a few questions about the "free" oil change. The gentleman Jeff asked me the typical questions...make and model, etc and offerd an appointment several days later. I asked, "do you need anything from this certificate I have?" He said just to bring it with me for the appointment. And I said, that's it? There's no change? And he said nope, we'll see you Monday. I quess you can imagine why I'm writing this sitting here in their lobby. Yep, a charge of $38. So, NOT free. WTH!? After asking what the charge was for, the guy says, cause that's what your oil change costs. This certificate gives you $30 off. When I say that's not what gentleman that I spoke with 4 days ago told me or what the certificate even says, he just stared at me. No words, just made me feel inferior and furious. So i knew I needed new brakes already but I messed up the rim my wheel turning into a median ‍ the day before I'm supposed to drive to LP from tucson. After driving up here on my spare, I called a few other places asking for quotes and was only referred to talk to dealerships. I hate dealing with mechanics myself and usually my husband does all this for me but he's out of town for work. I called this big o and spoke with Kate. She got my car right in and did a full inspection on it for me to see if hitting the median did any other damage. -side note about a year ago we got stuck in the mud in my Nissan altima and the big o in New Mexico where it happened at said everything was good to go after they fixed the alignment The inspection was done in a very reasonable amount of time. I had walked to a neighboring park and hadn't finished my return route yet by the time she called with the results. When I get to the store she goes over every thing they found in the inspection, she even took me back to my car and SHOWED me what they wanted to fix! I was amazed! Never has any other place done that for me. She dealt with the dealership and got my new wheel the very same day! It turns out my shocks were super busted. My husband had asked them to double check them after the mud incident in NM and they said they were fine! I highly doubt that they were so bad. She showed me a few other things I needed to have fixed and gave me the run down on priority. She let me see a few different prices on different options and actually showed me the computer while we were working prices. I feel like I am driving a brand new car. The work done was actual work needed and not just having to go off whatever they say you need. You better have all day, even with an appointment. I brought in my Ford dually in for a 10am appointment for 6 tires and alignment. I was called at 8:13am, and told the tires were in and ready for my 10am service. 3 1/2 hours after my appointment, the tires were finally installed. How do you stay in business when it takes 35 minutes per tire replacement? The tech changing the tires must cost Big O substantially more than his wages on a daily basis. Either leave your rig when doing business here, or go elsewhere for your tires. Waiting for your ride is infuriating, and the front end staff don't communicate with you after they have your keys. Shockingly, the alignment took 15 minutes, so 3 hours and 45 minutes to get back on the road, 37 1/2 minutes per tire install. What a joke! read more
