They literally cannot change a tire. I took my brand new Ford Explorer here to get snow tires put on and had to bring it back 3 times to get it fixed. Each time they said they "fixed" it, it broke again 100 miles later. Eventually I took it to Ford where I bought the car and they said big o tires hires incredibly incompetent employees and never set the tire pressure monitoring system. So yea, even though they're called big o tires, that doesn't mean they know how to change a tire :( UPDATE: I have absolutely no idea what Lana is referring to. Long story short I went in for an alignment that took 2 hours in which they left my vehicle worse apparently their equipment doesnt work on bigger vehicles .After leaving from there I went to a place around the corner where they showed me a loose bolt on the left tire . Overall they were super rude and couldve been the reason for me getting into an accident. Luckily this was caught before I drove any further . From the start, he was kind, approachable, and easy to talk to, which immediately put me at ease. We had an unfortunate experience with two flat tires in the middle of absolute nowhere in Utah. We had no options and the only place within 100 miles that had my size tire was a Big O 60 miles from where we got our flats. Got towed. Got it handled. Wasn't our choice. So, when we got back home, I wanted to get an alignment done and figured it would be best to get it done at the same company we got the tires from. Looked up the closest Big O and it was this location. Decided to get maintenance done at the same time. It wasn't really a choice, but I'm sure glad we ended up at this Big O. They were super friendly, professional, courteous, and provided the print outs of the tests they did and explained everything. This is my new mechanic. :) Not long after, I got a flat in one of those new Utah tires and took it back here for a fix. I brought my jeep in yesterday to get a new set of tires, rotors as well as an alignment, when i picked up my jeep there was a very loud sound which wasn't there when i dropped it off. ( NIC ) was the person who delivered my keys i asked about the loud sound and weird noises he instantly snapped and was VERY unprofessional when trying to speak to him he assured he had no idea how jeeps work?? and instead of being helpful he was making the situation VERY difficult, he was getting upset with my questions and wouldn't help answer any of them, he was VERY disrespectful and should definitely not be working in a field he has ZERO knowledge in. However JESUS RODRIGUEZ quickly noticed and deescalated the situation he was professional and very polite he instead had me leave my Jeep another night and assured he would personally take care of it , today I picked it up and he indeed fixed the issue !! read more

Had a lengthy review typed out but ultimately just wasn't worth posting it. Took 3 hours to patch a tire and do an oil change when I called in advance and they said they had time. Got there at noon, entire lobby was full, left at 2:55 with empty lobby. Would have gone elsewhere if I'd been notified or alerted in any way that it would be awhile-- I live 3 hours away and am now headed home in rush hour traffic towards a snowstorm I was trying to avoid. The job got done. Two new tires and an alignment. Breck was a cool guy but doing an alignment on a vehicle without someone waiting before someone who is waiting seems like a failure to prioritize. Overall a fine experience but I never saw anything that said the mechanics we're certified; just a bunch of signs advertising products. I probably won't be back unless I need something in a bind. My previous review was somehow removed?!!! Do not take your car here they will damage it. Even if you watch them damage it, they will not repair their damages. I WATCHED as their mechanic dropped my fiancee's car onto my tire, which was leaning against the back of her car when it was in the air. The car did not drop all the way. The mechanic noticed walked around to the back and pulled my tire out from under the car. The car and bumper dropped completely. The Mechanic put the tire in the trunk and he did not tell anyone what he did. When the requested that I pay the bill, I brought this up and went to look at the car that is when I noticed the 3/4 hole in the bumper that was NOT THERE BEFORE. My fiancee just purchased this car 3 mths before. And it was NOT THERE prior to be bring it in. Hole in the rim also seems to have a curve to it, MUCH LIKE A TIRE RIM!! The manager only wanted to "buff out" the rubber marks but not repair the damage. Sale person also saw my tire tire leaning against the car. She stated later it was policy not to lay anything against a lifted car. So why did she not say anything if she saw it leaning against the car before the jack was dropped. Manager then proceeded to call me a loser and an A$$HOLE, because I was demanding he be a responsible business manager and repair what his team damaged. read more

Stay away from this place! They are not honest people. I've used this Big O since it opened, but recently there have been some concerns. In August 2021, I went in for a check engine light, and after the assessment, I was told I needed to pay 1700 dollars to fix the problem. I didn't have the funds then, so I drove another car. Three weeks ago, I was ready to fix the car, so I spent another 150 because my check engine light was on; they fixed the issue, which was only 750 this time, so I was thrilled considering the 1700 quote I got in August. Two days later, the check engine light, and they told me there was another issue they had to fix and charge me again, so I paid. Three days later, my check engine light came on again, and they tried to charge me 600 more. I then asked why the issue didn't come up during my engine light check. He slipped and said, "in August 2021, when you came, you didn't want the service!" So this time, they planned to slowly fix my car as I have to keep coming to them with check light engine issues and eventually have me pay the lump sum they intended in the first place, which I would have paid anyway. The fact that I must miss work and other events to go through their game is unprofessional. I came back to get my car and would not pay the last 600$ because I decided to go to another mechanic, and the manager had a guy standing next to him as a bodyguard, which made me think he knew he was wrong. As I left, I told him I would bring this to someone, which he stated he didn't care about, and he mocked me for it. As I left, escorted out by his worker, I was called a "user" by the manager, I came back and asked him what that meant, and he said that's what I call "you people ." I took it because I was black; that's what he assumed. I ignored how they never smiled or had friendly customer service and never tried to know my name after being a customer for over six years. After looking at the other reviews about Peoria Big O, there seems to be a common theme about management and their treatment of blacks in the community. Made an appointment over a week in advance for an oil change. Technician left for lunch and never came back is the story I got. We didn't get a call for 3 hours so when we called they said they couldn't do it because their 1 oil change guy left and never came back. Who knows if they ever would have called us. 0 stars and no respect for letting people make appointments and having them wait for 3 hours without telling them they can't be seen. They pulled the pity card with short staff but why let someone make an appointment if you can't help them? Atleast let us know. Benefit of hindsight ,we should have gone to better area because this area looks dicey . Choose the tires and we're told two hours to get them mounted and aligned. I came here on December 2, and they supposed fixed my car on the right side, and "placed a new" tire, they charged me more than $1500, everything had to be done on the right side. I was supposed to have guarantee for 1 year. Today I found out my wheel had a huge scratch, I came today and they said my tired wasn't new and that they place it in the back of my car. Why did they do that ?? I took a picture when they gave me my car, and I show them the picture of the wheel and this person just through my papers and said he wasn't gonna help since that is not the "wheel" but I just came with what they did on my car. The kind and thoughtful folks at the Peoria Big O Tires were totally great in helping us buy, install, balance, and do a bearing repack on new tires on our travel trailer last week. Not only did Lenae (sp?) verify they had the tires in advance, but she made helpful notes so that -- when we arrived the next day -- they knew exactly who we were and which tires we wanted. They were able to squeeze us in that afternoon and offer completion before end of day. The Big O repair tech called mid-repair to ask me about a comment I'd made, wanting to make sure we were getting exactly the right tires for our vehicle. I really appreciated that. In addition, they were able to do the work more quickly than they'd anticipated, charging us for only one hour of labor instead of two. Also, they were very accommodating when a sudden change of plans meant we'd need to pick up the trailer in the morning instead. Altogether an easy and pleasurable experience. In my experience, these guys (and gals!) get the job done and do their best to make sure it gets done right. read more

First things first: Wednesday is Ladies Day. This is very important to remember if you appear to be lady-like and need work on your tires. 10% off. It proved eerily convenient for me last Wednesday. I was picking up a friend at the airport last Wednesday and got a flat tire somewhere between Park Hill and DIA. If I had to guess, the construction on I-70 could be the culprit of the nail in the rubber. So I'm at the Arrivals area with a completely flat tire and they bring in a tow truck to jack up the car + change out the spare. WAY better than attempting on my own on the side of the highway. Since one can only drive on a spare tire for 20-25 miles, I used Yelp to find the closest retailer. Big O Tires showed up and off we went... slowly. Peoria Street ain't the sexiest place to be on a hot summer afternoon, but the Ladies Day sign prominently displayed on the door made it slightly more promising. 10% off of four new all-wheel drive tires cost a pretty penny, but the discount saved me about $100. Why all four new tires? Apparently with AWD vehicles, you have to replace all the tires at once. They work as a system and need to on the same level of tread. #TheMoreYouKnow. The Big O Tires guys replaced the tires within an hour and I was back on the road like new. They were very nice and there's wifi in the waiting room, in case you brought your laptop or iPad along. The new wheels have a warranty for up to 30K miles. Doesn't make the unexpected expense go down better, but I don't have a choice. read more

Absolutely pitiful excuse of someone trying to portray themselves as a legitimate business. They should change the name of this store from Big O to simply, Breck's. The name of the "store manager" lol... This guy swears he is the all high Supreme Master mechanic of the universe and there is no one who knows more or is above him. Let me explain why. I've had an issue with my brakes with work done at another Big O and was referred by corporate for a 2nd opinion on the matter at this location. After his diagnosis of my vehicle, he concluded that it was the brake proportion valve (a component that is barely ever used and usually lasts the life of the vehicle) and it was "conveniently" only $550 dollars for them to fix it when most if not all the work should be covered under warranty. I asked him how he came to this conclusion, he then told me that my brakes were heating up too much because they were "hot to the touch" and that I needed to take his word for it because he's been a mechanic for 25 years. Of course I was skeptical. Instead of just believing him I asked more questions like did he do a brake pressure test on the system and he literally told that no such thing exists and you can't test the pressure in the lines! All of which I have recorded in a 12 minute call between us. I wish you could post audio to this review as I couldn't believe he told me that and that he thought I was dumb enough to go for that! I took what he said at face value and then proceeded to ask for the Owner's information to have in case me and him couldn't reach an agreement, to which he refused and told me that no one is above him, he doesn't give out the info for the owner and that I was out of luck if I didn't want to deal with him. News flash buddy! Not only did you waste your time with a rushed diagnosis, resulting in a missed opportunity to gain a customer, you also in the same motion earned a one star review for your shannanigans while making no money in the process. I set up appointment for repairs, picked up vehicle it was making grinding noises as if metal was hitting metal. I took it in they were very rude they treat you as if your stupid and said I have to pay if it was not related to repairs. Even though that wasn't an issued until they worked on it. I get it back and they just apologize drove it and now my sensor light is on I call and they are short and don't care meaning I will have to make a THIRD trip for the same issue.
