I work in the insurance industry and deal with body shops every single day and Alex Auto Repair is the place I chose for my own repairs. I took my car with a radiator problem into Alex Auto Repair on a Monday morning and the repairs were done that afternoon and they had to replace the radiator. The bill was less than I feared it would be and the service and communication was impeccable. I'd HIGHLY recommend this shop if you need auto repairs in Denver. Tell 'em Mike Norton sent ya. read more

Sketchy to say the least. Took our car in for an inspection, which they ended up charging us for without communicating the fees when we dropped the car off. They quoted us for a transmission replacement, which was high. We took the car to get a second opinion and found out there was a lot more going on. They were going to charge us to replace transmission without mentioning the other extensive issues going on, which ended up totaling the car. If we had used Alexs for transmission work, the car would have broken down soon after. Dont trust these guys! read more

Cheaters and lier. Alex the owner, or Sam the lead mechanic are liers and purposely sabotage my vehicle for future mechanical failures . They did $3000 of work that they purposely misdiagnosed and simply, purposely drained power steering gearbox assembly leaving no fluids, purposely put wrong size oil filter, so they could misdiagnosed another oil leak a week later. They put aquarium hose in place of automotive hose. After 2 weeks of destroying my handicapped van that I live in , yah I'm an elderly handicapped man on a fixed income, I took the vehicle to another mechanic and he rework over 7 purposely sabotaged area. Cost me $3.000 . The whole time Alex would bs me with born again Christian nonsense. The service I requested was to get my 2006 Jeep Cherokee computer module replaced, I came back to pick my car up to find out that they put a whole liberty Jeep computer in my grand Cherokee and set my car up for worse future mechanical failures my breaks locked up completely the car shut off and would not work they totaled my car from me being able to drive it all! Worst auto shop experience in my life they are liars they don't know how to work on cars let alone what parts are the right ones for a certain car! Horrible service read more

Going into Memorial weekend my old Jeep sprung a leak in the radiator, went through several reviews of different places and one here caught my eye. Got on the phone with Alex and had my Jeep back as promised and within budget. read more

I called this morning at 9 to see if they could take me after I had a piece of something (no expert on cars) hanging down after a 3 hour drive, and they told me "No problem! Bring it in and we can help you" I had every intention of having to leave my car for repairs and to my wonderful surprise the only thing I needed was a screw! Sam came out and slid right under my car and screwed in a screw and had me on my way! They didn't even charge me. He honored a battery warranty for me and carried the battery to my car. I was pleased about that.

Alex's team of certified bad a$$ mechanics are top notch professionals. This team works! I am very pleased with their performance and professionalism. This place is all about great communication to ensure you are comfortable about not getting "taken advantage of". My 5star bonus is also because these guys are working on Saturdays. This was convenient for my family since we had to leave out of town on Sunday. 1 year warranty on the work completed. Thanks Alex and team! read more

Never leave bad review except today. Had alex check a/c on vehicle. He took me in right away. Over charged system and blamed a bad compressor. Went somewhere else and removed over charge and no compressor was replaced. A/c still blows cold air now. read more

When my wife and I were moving from New York to California our car broke down outside of Denver with everything we owned in it. The situation was obviously stressful, our options were pretty limited, and everything seemed lost. Alex went out of his way to not only help us get back on the road, but also went above and beyond to make things as easy and pain free as the situation would allow. He treated us not only like real people, but as if we were his own friend or family member. In a time when it is harder and harder to know who to trust Alex and his team did everything within their power to help us get an understanding of what happened, what we could/should do, and even let us take the car somewhere else for a second opinion before we ended up going with him anyway. He helped us more than our insurance, more than the dealership, he came in on his day off when we would have been stranded in the middle of nowhere for the whole weekend, just because he knew it would help us out even though it did nothing for him. If you are in the area and need anything for your car, take my word, don't let the location fool you, this is the place to go and Alex is the person to talk to. read more

I needed a coolant valve replaced and Alex was able to get me in on a Saturday morning right away. I had an issue a day later and Alex drove to my work to fix it. I'm very happy with the service. Alex went above and beyond to help me! He was very responsive and I felt very valued as a customer. read more

Hi guys, got my car diagnosed here and following that I replaced the faulty part, fault still on after paying a lot of money, change more parts and still same issue, after checking with a different garage to found out that a part that cost 30e was causing this, they are absolutely butchers and I'm sorry to say that despite all the fake good reviews. I heard after that from another 2 friends that similar thing they done to them, putting customer to change parts that are not necessary, a typical practice in all this type of garages. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARAGE !!! prices are absolutely ridiculous, like in the main dealer, just stay away if you don't wanna get absolutely ripped off ! read more

Alex and his team are real mechanics... they don't just blindly throw parts at problems. In my experience he is very honest... he had the opportunity to charge me more but only sold what I needed and gave great advice about the state of my vehicle and further work that might be needed. Can't recommend him enough if you're sick of corporate mechanics at big boxes doing a horrible job. Absolutely will be back. Thank you! read more

Excellent business! Came in for a minor tune up and Alex and his team couldn't have been easier to work with. Extremely helpful and respectful. I found my new garage! Will definitely be back. read more

They said to bring my car in for a diagnostic, told me the price that my oil change would be but failed to mention at any point that the diagnostic was $100 until I went to pay. They definitely took advantage of me. Make sure you ask the price of everything they suggest you get done. read more

Alex was outstanding. He helped me diagnose and reset the software on my vehicle that was causing all kinds of problems. He quoted me a diagnostic fee and after he cleared up the issues quickly he declined payment because the diagnosis was not that extensive. The guy saved me a bundle with a quick fix. Other mechanics may have spent a week changing out components. He had me and my family on our way. I highly recommend the slight turn off to the industrial park where his shop is. Even while I was there I saw him talking on the phone and interfacing with customers at a refreshing level. Alex is great! Find his shop and I doubt you will be disappointed. read more

Squeezed me in even though they were swamped and are appointment only! Ran full diagnostics and reset my car's computer in less than 20 mins. Helped me out a lot, as I'm a bout to take a trip with the vehicle! Will definitely take my car there again. read more

I came in with my 2018 Ford Focus to get the timing chain tensioner fixed because my warranty just went out. The reviews led me to believe that Alex Auto Repair had a competent and experienced staff of mechanics. I could not have been more wrong. Now I have to get everything re-timed and the owner basically said, "F*** you, sue me." When I brought it up. read more

Awesome place to take your automobile! I've been going there for 4 years and I've never had that feeling u get from the larger chain mechanics. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I've also recommended this place to family and friends. They don't upcharge or fix things that don't need to be fixed. Straightforward and upfront pricing. These guys got it right! read more

I'm going to start off by saying I've never left a review for anything in my life, but I'm making an exception for Alex. By far the worst mechanic experience I've ever had. He texted me a list of things I needed done, so like most people I had some questions. Alex ignored all my questions and just sent me a confusing breakdown of the prices. I specifically told him EXACTLY wanted I want done on my car. No response. Sent a few more text messages with questions that are just ignored again. I call and I'm informed a part hasn't come in yet. Cool. Next day I hear nothing until they're about to close. He calls with prices higher than expected. Turns out Alex decided to install rear brakes on my car that I specifically said not to do. Apparently, Alex decided for me what I needed to pay for. Alex doesn't offer to lower the price at all for their mistake. So, I pay for the work done because I believe that's the right thing to do. The cherry on top was they didn't even bring my car to me. They parked it across a busy street for me to go get. Great customer service. read more

Alex prevented me from buying a faulty Volvo XC90 with his expert analysis and inspection. Honest guy, really appreciate his work.

My initial impression when arriving at Alex Auto Repair was one of apprehension. There were two open garage doors of a large warehouse "strip mall" cluttered with grease stained items strewn about. I had to walk into the garage and get a mechanics attention and he told me that the owner would be back in a few minutes to take care of my pre-purchase inspection. After a short time, the owner (who I presume was Alex) returned to the shop and without any hesitation, grabbed the keys to my prospective purchase and took it for a test drive, returned after a few minutes, popped the hood and searched, like a Bloodhound chasing a scent, for any defects. Shortly thereafter, he brought myself and the vehicle's owner to the engine compartment and gave a non biased assessment of the vehicles condition and a quote as to what the cost of repair would be. There were times when the seller would speak to Alex in Spanish and Alex would immediately translate their exchange and make a point to speak in English, as it was the common language for all parties involved. I ended up buying the vehicle at a fair price and I feel that much of that had to do with bringing it to this shop for inspection. I am definitely considering taking my vehicle back to him to have further maintenance completed. The only thing that is keeping me is the distance from my home as I don't live near the eastern Denver suburbs. read more

My transmission started slipping about 3 weeks ago and I had a hard time finding someone to diagnose and fix the problem. I'm new to Colorado so I didnt know where to start and was just going to attempt to get a new car that I couldnt afford. I found Alex information on a local Facebook community group. He told me to bring my car in and I will have it back in 2 days. I took my car in around 6pm Monday evening and they were done rebuilding and replacing the transmission in my car shortly after noon on Wednesday. I've NEVER had someone to GET THE JOB DONE THAT FAST!! I will NEVER use another shop and when I do get another car, I will start with Alex auto repair. They really have no IDEA how they helped and blessed me. I CAN'T thank them enough...like seriously THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH! read more
