My fiance and I were quite impressed with Mike Novick. We took both our 2011 Acadia and our 2020 Nissan Rogue to him, for a starter issue and a heater issue, respectively. When we arrived at his shop, another customer was there waiting for his car to be serviced and he said that he had been going to Mike for many years and he had always been treated right by him. That was reassuring to us. We had checked out Novick Automotive, here on Yelp before we went there, so it looked good, but the other customer right there reassured us all the more. We had already taken the Acadia to 2 other mechanics, and one of them said the issue was too much for them and referred us to an auto electrician. The other suggested something else. Mike promptly figured out it was the starter, and put in a new one for us. The amount was actually lower than he originally thought. Mike passed the savings onto us! The Rogue's heating issue wasn't really an issue. We just needed to operate the heater differently in conjunction with the A/C, and he explained that to us. read more

Novick Automotive is a perfect example of what customer service should be. I had a check engine light on in my car and Jeep told me I would have to leave my car for 7-10 days in order to run a diagnostic test, even though I had an appointment. I went to Novick without an appointment and within 20 minutes they ran the diagnostic, told me what was wrong and looked up what part was needed from Jeep. Unfortunately, I could not have the car repaired due to the timing of the part coming in and my leaving to go back to Arizona. I was so surprised that they looked at my car rght away and in the end did not charge me again. Next time I am back in the Denver area and I need anything done to my car, I will be going to Novick. read more

My car had a broken water pump, died right in my driveway. The model of my car made it necessary to go into the motor/engine, complicated and a lot of man hours. My regular repair shop could not do it, so had to be towed to the dealer. Dealer had it for 12 days , finally said they were backlogged for many weeks. Quoted estimate scared me, way out of my budget on SS. I was overwhelmed. What to do ?? My regular repair shop said look for engine repair places, qualified to do this repair. Holy moly. SO MANY places, Warned it would be hard to find someplace, with a mechanic to do this kind of job. Picked one, start the search. Mike, the owner, answered, told my story, expected nothing. He listened, got basic facts: issue, estimate and my car not being repaired. He was all business but his calm friendly voice calmed me, that kind of person. He told me what he could do and would I trust him to make this happen. YES. He said to call & let the dealer know the car would be towed to a new garage. He took over then, sent a tow truck to the dealer, got my car. Said to come down the next day, he had a loaner car, I would not be isolated, stuck at home. I met him, felt right at home. Grew up around mechanics/shops, that smell and aura of the shop,wonderful. He gave me a loaner car, quoted me a good lower price AND they specialized in such repairs. That kind of garage that can do just about anything, and do it to perfection. It was time consuming to repair it, but at least I could go to the store, places I had to go, so fine with me. Done a few days earlier than predicted. I cleaned the car, washed it, filled the tank. My car ran like a strong car again. Mike & Novick Auto lifted a big black cloud over my head. I am thankful he was put in my path. No such thing as coincidence. The first place I called was meant to be the right one. Thank God. For you ladies out there...he treated me like a lady but NOT as a dumb female, he explained stuff & showed me the new pump etc...When you see & touch something, it makes you comfortable. He told me just enough to make it real and not cold. This made me smile again. Novick Automotive IS my shop now, there are many good shops out there, but I found the one for me. It's Christmas Eve... why am I writing a review for a mechanic? Without these guys I would have been stranded on the coldest day in Denver for 30 years. My battery died. My husband thought about fixing it to save money and in the process lost a piece that holds the battery in place. It fell in the car. I called around but also looked on Yelp. These guys are highly rated and I get it. They fixed my battery- same day- including getting a new holder piece and were cheaper than other people. They were kind, prompt, and affordable. read more

Our check engine light went on while on the highway, a 10min drive away. We called and they said they would take a look, we pull up and right away our car got looked at. Thankfully we didn't need any work done (our catalytic converter is below emissions standard). They waved us off free of charge, which is incredibly nice!!! Overall awesome experience. read more
