We stayed in Bridgeport for 4 days and saw this brewery in town. We went for a drink our second day and the beers were great and Rose, one of the owners, was a pleasure to talk to. She gave us some recommendations for other things to do in the area as well. We liked the place so much we went back the next day. We would have gone a third day but it was Sunday and they are closed. Will definitely be sure to come back here next time we are in the area. Cruising down main street Bridgeport, Big Meadow caught my eye so we made a point to stop in during an errand run. I loved the stockyard vibes of the patio that sits just off main street and I imagined watching a parade or enjoying one of the town's special events from there. The patio also has a big stage and quite a bit of outdoor seating, suggesting good times there too. The brewery is small and they make 6-7 styles. There was a solid local vibe and constituency enjoying the beers here. The bartender was friendly, talked to us a bit about the beers and was quick to provide samples to help us make a selection. I chose the red ale and enjoyed the roasted malt flavor. At the end of the day, this is a microbrewery in a small town. This brewery was a warm welcome after a long drive and some hiking. It's no frills and very laidback lowkey type of vibe. There is a solid group of local regulars and tourists as well. Service was a bit catered more towards the regulars but hey they probably tip consistently. Beer is average. The IPA was nothing to write home about or complain about either. Don't know anything about this place EXCEPT that they don't allow dogs on the outside patio. I'm pretty sure I've never been to a brewery with outside seating that banned dogs, but it was a deal breaker for me. This is a great little brewery to hit along 395 in Bridgeport. I stopped in a few months ago while hopping around the hotsprings in the area and was was warmly embraced by the other bar patrons and the bartender who pointed me in a great direction to a wonderful campsite near town. The brewery is small, quaint and the setting and ambience are comfortable and inviting. Drop on in to big meadow brewing if you are passing through town! read more

We love it, the owners are very nice and welcoming! Beers are delicious and I always get the red ale. There's outside seating as well as inside with a beautiful view of the town! Good beer. No games to play, no pretzels to munch on, no tv to watch sports, very limited seating inside. Very nice server!

The burger was cooked well and I love how it came with ketchup and mustard on it. A dill pickle spear comes on the side, but I do prefer pickle in the burger. However, it worked out as the BF doesn't care for pickles and we split the burger, which they kindly cut in half for us. Salted plain potato chips come on the side, not as good as fries but the salty crunch complimented the burger. The staff was friendly and the bathroom was clean, although there is only one stall. They have outdoor seating, but beware of the big ants at the wood tables, they'll crawl all over you. *No burgers on weekends - they do a bbq thing. read more

We aren't beer drinkers but we heard the food was good (Growlers Eatery?). We arrived quite late in the day so the only option left was 1/2 chicken dinner. We got that with extra sides and had plenty to feed the two of us. Chicken was fantastic! read more

We were on a road trip so we wanted to stop and rest a bit. We saw this place and went in. They were so friendly and welcoming. We ordered our beverage the place is so cute. The decor was very unique. They had old crates that were hung making them into tables. They said they have been open for only 9 months. During our conversation they gave us a few tips on places to eat and stay during our trip. We really appreciated how kind they were. They offer games to play during your visit also. There is no patio, but they have a big window that looks out to the towns main strip. This is a small place with a big welcome, so please take a moment to go in and try something. I'm sure you will have a great experience just like we did. I know we will stop off again whenever we are in the area on another trip to try out something else. read more

Came up this way for the holiday weekend and noticed this small brewery by accident. We were so excited to try so after waiting a bit to open, the owner kindly invited us inside and our group sat down and sampled the available beers. There were 3 available at the time but all of them were solid. We settled on the Pale Ale and spent our time talking to the owner who was super friendly. Man, oh Man! Or should I say, Beer, oh Beer!!!! First noticed this place when we drove through in 2020, but they were closed for obvious reasons. Today we were finally able to try their beer. Talk about fresh beer and so good as well!!!! It is the freshest beer you are going to find in California, and who knew we would find it in Bridgeport! ?!? The day we stopped in, there were only two available, a Blonde and an Amber, but the place was busy! Right in the main drag through town it's easy to find. Reading the No dogs policy means we won't even be able to try it. We're camping in the area and can't leave the dog in our trailer. We are trying to complete the Eastern Sierra Ale Trail and get a patch which sounded like fun and now we can't. I have wanted to try this place when we were here before but they weren't open ,to early. But got to try today and it was awful! 26$ for beef ribs , pasta salad and beans. Don't do it . The ribs were tough and little meat on them. The beans lack flavor and the salad had to much bottled dressing on it . Terrible food and no IPA read more

I am a local but don't patronize this establishment for food because it is no good. The beer is good, although expensive. The beef barley soup was edible but take a look at the "garlic toast". Burnt and questionable at best. If you're driving through and nothing is open, keep driving. read more

Was on a road trip and decided to stay in Bridgeport and check it out. We saw this place and walked in. The couple that owned it were super nice and we chatted with them for awhile. They only had one beer on tap at the time cause the others were sold out. Wish we could have tried the mango. But the rye they had was good. It's small but has a homey vibe to it. Hopefully they'll serve food at one point, but never the less, it's a great place to hang out and have a beer. read more

If I could give it a zero I would. Upon entering I noticed they only had two beers on tap. I asked the waitress which one she liked. She said both and continued talking to her friend and stayed seated the whole time. She never greeted us her demeanor was very unwelcoming. Flat out rude. We were gonna order a beer. I asked about rhino pizza if they were open. She said I don't know. I just work here. My husband asked about ordering a beer. We were asking the rules. Her friend said you can order pretzels and get a beer. She was nicer then the waitress. It was really ridiculous the waitress then was saying what constitutes for a meal.
