Great breakfast sandwich specially prepared for us.

Super nice place and so were the folks that work there. They made a special order for my wife who is a vegetarian and she loved it. Very accommodating! Nice cozy living room feel around the fireplace. We will be back! Thank you so much for being in Walker. Right next to the turn off for the rest stop...

A small town food joint that is busy as its one of the few things around here but was not ready to handle a group of 12 traveling thru town. By 1130 some of their food items (limited choices already) were already out, such as the ham and cheese panini. I wouldn't so much as call it a food joint but more so of a to go coffee shop that's far better than the coffees you find at a gas station or 7-11 or any other place you would typically run into on a road trip. The inside is small. Hardly able to contain all 12 of us on their 2 little tables. But they have some more bench seating outside as well as in the front. Being off the "main" road, this place does get a lot of foot traffic though. From the local sheriff's, to the locals to the tourists they all come here for food, drinks and gear. Im the 30 min we were here, we saw maybe 2 dozen cars pulling in and out of the gravel parking lot. Took a good 25 minutes or so for the quesadilla's to come out, which was a while. I ordered their turkey pesto paining. Bread was an interesting choice. But they have lots of turkey inside, and you can taste the pesto. It was large and pretty good. Also got a breakfast burrito which was more than enough for 1 person. I also got their redbull and juice drink. It was good and refreshing. Definitely helped with the 6 plus more hours of driving that I had to do. Overall this place is small (as expected). A little rundown. Serves limited amounts of food. But does have a more expansive coffee menu. If your looking for a sit down breakfast joint this is not the place for youm. But if your looking for something quick that you can hold on too and drive then try this place out. Or if your looking for a pick me up to help you on your drive then come here for one of their many coffee/caffeine offerings.

This place is so sweet!! Great customer service and amazing drinks. There's also a bathroom for paying customers. My husband said it's the best matcha he's had in a long time!

Friendly staff and a boost to life in Walker CA. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich- delish. As I was traveling and passing through, I frequented on my way out and back for my coffee fix. I also bought some coffee beans to take home. Only downside was restroom was out of order.

Nice little coffee stop on the way down to Yosemite! Convenient location right off the highway. I had the toffee mocha and it was pretty solid!

Friendly, good prices and super clean restrooms

Quant local biz that offers coffee drinks, some breakfast items with a menu for meals and coffee. Some pastries look homemade, muffins from Costco (which I like). Friendly, helpful, professional, sweet employees. Reasonable prices. The CLEANEST bathroom! Plus if you get "messy" they have all kinds of supplies on hand so you can clean up after yourself. Great idea.

Walker Coffee Company is a modern coffee shop that offers delicious coffee and breakfast treats. My friend needed a pick me up after visiting Travertine Hot Springs and we were super excited to find out there was a coffee shop within walking distance from our stay! Customer service was wonderful. We walked-in and received such a welcoming, good morning! Loved the whole cabin-like modern feel to everything in there. You can buy fishing and hunting gear while getting your coffee fix haha. I ordered a lavender latte. Loved the sweetness to it while still being able go taste the coffee. Definitely add this place as a bookmark if you're passing by!

Pot of Gold Coffee sprinkled with edible glitter, so cute!

First time here, ordered Pot of Gold Coffee, it came with glitter on top, a little bedazzle to my coffee! Nice atmosphere, friendly and clean.

Needed coffee while driving up the 395. Took a gamble and stopped in this cute coffee shop. The ladies were friendly and helpful. I am picky with my coffee and wasn't sure which drink to go with. They gave suggestions and altered the drink with the ingredients I did not want. Products are all sustainable and taste great!

While ownership has changed at one point, the bakery has stayed in the family. Locals absolutely depend on this jewel. High Sierra bakery is more than just a shop, but a place where neighbors meet, chat, and feel at home, fostering a sense of connection. Locals also order donuts for their different clubs, acitivities and gatherings. Tourism is also a big part of the bakery clientelle. The bakery has extended hours during peak summer time. It's essential to get to the bakery early during these times to be able to have many variety choices. While the bakery must close for the winter, you can depend on them usually beginning in April into October. It has been a long time, but we have ordered birthday cakes in the past. Everything here is consistent. The apple fritters are a big hit, and I say big hit because they are HUGE. The bakery also has sandwiches on the menu, but I think they are usually not available until after 11. There is plenty of seating inside and a couple of tables outside. Parking is available on the street and it is within walking distance from all local motels.

So their loss was our gain because I really enjoyed the High Sierra Bakery. I ordered up a delicious Sierra Haystack, A MUST DO when you go here. The bag was tempting, but they also have single haystacks for sale. My wife ordered up the Hulk and shared a bite of her sandwich with me. Perfectly made, in my opinion. Nice flavors and not too much of anything. They did have to sub pepperoni for salami but that didn't make much of a difference. For my sandwich I decided on a simple PBj because I wasn't super hungry. It was a good choice. Great bread and simple ingredients. The space is big enough for most groups that are coming through town and it really did feel very small town vibe. The service was good too! So many times I hesitate to get anything really unique in small towns because they just don't have the turnover, but High Sierra was pleasant surprise when it came to the quality of everything we had. I will definitely head there next time I am driving through from Reno.

What a cool place?…read more Whenever we are out and about and checking out new things, we always try to find some good local coffee. We took the kids to Genoa and after wanted to warm up a bit. This coffee place has always been one that we've seen whenever we've driven out of town to go to SoCal and always said "we need to check this place out someday". Super glad that we finally did, I got a peppermint latte and the wife got a toffee latte. They even have locally made ice cream and the kids enjoyed chocolate brownie, and cookies and cream. The lattes were both great flavored and really well made with beans brewed from Old World Coffee (Reno) beans. Which is our favorite roaster in the area. Honestly with our travels out of state and internationally, we found that Old World has the best roasted beans around. There's plenty of space in the main part of the coffee shop and a side room with a community table and even an area for kids to play and read books. I wish we had a good coffee place like this in the Sparks area. This will definitely be a staple when we're in town.

I'll continue to give them my business when in the area.

They're kind without trying. They ask the right questions. They remember what you like. The building feels like it's been waiting for this to happen.
