The BEST part is the gentleman who fillets the fish is so hands-on and friendly with kids. He let my nephew step into the shed to watch him gut the fish and taught him a few things. You'll drive a little out of the way to get to him, as he works from a 15 by 30 foot bungalow by his home, way off the beaten path. This also keeps his overhead very very low, and that is good for the customer bottom line. He's a reloading buff and is quite knowledgeable in that area. As for firearms sales realize you are going to seeing mostly vintage old west guns; revolvers, duck shotguns, and deer rifles. Not a bad thing; just an observation. The guns I've given him to work on are more tactical in nature, but no problems diagnosing issues and putting back together. Ammo prices seem to be quite reasonable here, though selection depends on what he gets into his shop, which is a smattering of various calibers. Overall, I recommend Dan highly and trust his work over the shops along the main drag that absolutely hammer you on pricing.

The owner had three customers in the store, including myself, with about 15 minutes left until close. He helped everyone out and still had time to suggest several fishing spots in the area. I picked up a few flies I didn't really need, but helping the local shops is important. I also found out he sells online too so I'll keep him in mind when I need something. Last thing he said was, "stop in next time your in the area and I can tell you where the fish are biting!" Thank you!!!

I spoke with Greg who told me that my gun qualify and to bring it in. If I had sold it privately, I would have to go with the buyer for registered gun dealer, and pay for the transfer fee. But I figured out how much I would get for a private sale less fees on background check it would be much better for me to deal with sportsman's warehouse. When I arrived, Greg was there he checked out a gun which was practically brand new and had all the original paperwork, he gave me a top line price, which was more than what I expected, and the processor was very quick. Paul H And Chris took care of all the paperwork and within about 35 minutes I was out the door with cash in hand. I was advised if I had done a trade-in they would've been able to give me more money but quite frankly I'm very happy with what they offered. Sportsman's warehouse has a huge inventory of every kind of weapons and ammunition you could ever imagine. They are all so knowledgeable. They know their stuff. This store has everything from weapons to clothing to camping goods hunting goods even down to the best snacks you can imagine. While I'm at it, Debbie, who I believe is the software supervisor and handles all the clothes and shoes and things like that is a wonderful customer service person. The minute you walk in the door someone says hello, and they are extremely helpful. I highly recommend them.

The Danish was dry and hard and the center filling looked like it was pre-made frozen and just placed on top of the Danish. Finally, the worst of the worst, I got a personal size dutch apple crumble pie. Now THIS looked like it was made from scratch and I had hopes for this one. However, I took a piece of the crumble topping and ate it. It had an unusual funny taste. Almost like it was made with lavender. Didn't taste quite right. Then, when I got back to my hotel, I really dug into it. It wasn't just the crumble that was off, but the entire pie tasted of rancid spoiled butter. I had to spit it out, it was horrible. I can't believe they would serve that. I don't know how old that thing was, but they need better quality control. The only people I could see giving this place 5 stars on the food, are locals. Tahoe is behind when it comes to quality high end artisanal pastries. I have yet to find a decent coffee shop. Their sign boasts "Voted Best in Tahoe", but you'll see that almost every spot here has the same sign, from ice cream shops to bakeries to whatever else because there's literally nothing here. If you're from a big city, don't come here. Service was pleasant. No complaints.
