The husband‑and‑wife team working that evening completely turned our experience around. They mentioned they had moved to Tahoe from LA and had a few daughters, and both were incredibly kind and welcoming. The gentleman went above and beyond, bringing out new reels, adjusting our setup, and personally coaching my wife with patience. Thanks to his effort, she caught her very first fish, and it absolutely made her day! We left with huge smiles and a wonderful memory. You'll drive a little out of the way to get to him, as he works from a 15 by 30 foot bungalow by his home, way off the beaten path. This also keeps his overhead very very low, and that is good for the customer bottom line. He's a reloading buff and is quite knowledgeable in that area. As for firearms sales realize you are going to seeing mostly vintage old west guns; revolvers, duck shotguns, and deer rifles. Not a bad thing; just an observation. The guns I've given him to work on are more tactical in nature, but no problems diagnosing issues and putting back together. Ammo prices seem to be quite reasonable here, though selection depends on what he gets into his shop, which is a smattering of various calibers. Overall, I recommend Dan highly and trust his work over the shops along the main drag that absolutely hammer you on pricing.

The owner had three customers in the store, including myself, with about 15 minutes left until close. He helped everyone out and still had time to suggest several fishing spots in the area. I picked up a few flies I didn't really need, but helping the local shops is important. I also found out he sells online too so I'll keep him in mind when I need something. Last thing he said was, "stop in next time your in the area and I can tell you where the fish are biting!" Thank you!!!

On my recent visit the staff was super kind and all wanted to pet my dog. Some staff had treats ready. Even though they were in the process of moving the entire ammo department, they still helped me find what I needed. Their website has a massive selection so if it's not in the store they can get it shipped there. Any store that allows me to bring my dog inside always gets a better review. That lets me know if the employees are going to be nice or not right when I enter. Will return again soon!

I spoke with Greg who told me that my gun qualify and to bring it in. If I had sold it privately, I would have to go with the buyer for registered gun dealer, and pay for the transfer fee. But I figured out how much I would get for a private sale less fees on background check it would be much better for me to deal with sportsman's warehouse. When I arrived, Greg was there he checked out a gun which was practically brand new and had all the original paperwork, he gave me a top line price, which was more than what I expected, and the processor was very quick. Paul H And Chris took care of all the paperwork and within about 35 minutes I was out the door with cash in hand. I was advised if I had done a trade-in they would've been able to give me more money but quite frankly I'm very happy with what they offered. Sportsman's warehouse has a huge inventory of every kind of weapons and ammunition you could ever imagine. They are all so knowledgeable. They know their stuff. This store has everything from weapons to clothing to camping goods hunting goods even down to the best snacks you can imagine. While I'm at it, Debbie, who I believe is the software supervisor and handles all the clothes and shoes and things like that is a wonderful customer service person. The minute you walk in the door someone says hello, and they are extremely helpful. I highly recommend them.

We got a chocolate croissant (only decent thing I got, but don't compare it to an artisanal made croissant where it's a dark golden brown with flaky crispy buttery layers). Their "croissants" are more like anemic, soft, moist bread. Also, got a cheese Danish. Starbucks sells a better cheese Danish than this place. The Danish was dry and hard and the center filling looked like it was pre-made frozen and just placed on top of the Danish. Finally, the worst of the worst, I got a personal size dutch apple crumble pie. Now THIS looked like it was made from scratch and I had hopes for this one. However, I took a piece of the crumble topping and ate it. It had an unusual funny taste. Almost like it was made with lavender. Didn't taste quite right. Then, when I got back to my hotel, I really dug into it. It wasn't just the crumble that was off, but the entire pie tasted of rancid spoiled butter. I had to spit it out, it was horrible. I can't believe they would serve that. I don't know how old that thing was, but they need better quality control. The only people I could see giving this place 5 stars on the food, are locals. Tahoe is behind when it comes to quality high end artisanal pastries. I have yet to find a decent coffee shop. Their sign boasts "Voted Best in Tahoe", but you'll see that almost every spot here has the same sign, from ice cream shops to bakeries to whatever else because there's literally nothing here. If you're from a big city, don't come here. Service was pleasant. No complaints.

Not much to choose from, but they did have the lemon meringue that everyone was raving about and two kinds of apple pie. Over two hours until closing at 5pm on Saturday and the chairs were already flipped over on the tables as if they were closing/cleaning. The lady packed our order to go without asking, so I guess that was also a hint to not stick around. Onto the pie: it sure looked nice, but one bite was all I needed. I did take a second bite just to make sure my taste buds weren't playing tricks on me. The meringue was gummy, the crust was soggy. The lemon filling was ok, but did not compensate for the top and the bottom being almost inedible. I don't know if it was old, just bad, or both. This was honestly one of the worst lemon meringue pies I've ever had. We would have been better off getting a pie at the grocery store. We didn't dig into the apple pie yet, but after the lemon meringue, I don't have high hopes.
