While visiting my brother in Minden, he recommended we stop by Shoe Tree Brewing. It's a smaller brewery, great atmosphere with many board/card games that we can play. The bathrooms were clean and I know they clean them regularly because after using it after a few times I noticed toilet bowl cleaner in the bowl. Special shoutout to both employees Hayley and Taylor (I hope I spelled that correctly) for their hospitality. They were both super courteous, all smiles, very informative and great conversation. They made me feel welcomed and made me want to return to this fine establishment. read more

Cute place at the end by the movie theater. Outdoor and indoor seating. Great selection of beers and guest beers on tap. Bonus for having some NA options on tap too. They do have a fridge to grab canned beers and other beverages (NA and alcohol). They also offer a variety of hummus and pita chips which were quite tasty. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable on the items being served on tap. It's clean and nice inside albeit on the smaller side. Restrooms were clean as well. Shoe Tree Brewing has been one of my favorite local breweries, and after a few years delay, I finally got to check out their location down in Minden. This is a very nice little taproom, very welcoming and chill. They have most of the mainstays you'll find at the flagship location, plus a couple of beers they brew here in-house. The beer quality is very good, and you can sample some of the most unique libations to be found in our region. Prices are pretty standard for pints. Service was very friendly. Parking is abundant and easy. And they have snacks available for purchase, and nearby options for more actual meals. Plenty of to-go beer options on sale here, too. And they have scheduled music shows cycling through. So yeah, all told, this is a great spot for local brew hunters to stop in at and grab a pint, or three. Cheers, all! read more

Beer was okay, but not great. People were nice. Venue was really small, not the kind of place that's fun to hang out in. Particularly since they tried to make it "dog friendly". There were two huge Dobermanns, which were impossible to avoid because the space was so small. Probably won't go back. read more

We loooveee breweries and were visiting from out of town so of course had to stop here. The bartender was so friendly, she let us try multiple beers before choosing some for in house and some for togo. Super friendly locals with cute dogs too! Perfect tap room vibes. It's a cute small spot with great beer! Hopefully we can visit their brewery location someday as well. While trotting around the surrounding areas of Tahoe, we ended up in Minden after someone in Genoa recommended this brewery. My husband loved the hand crafted blonde ale. The atmosphere is low key with available games to play. The brewery got its name from all the shoes hanging from the trees. Didn't catch sight of any in the strip mall, but they must've been somewhere!?! read more

You have to go next door to get food. The beer is awesome and it's an old bar ambiance. The service is great as well.

Gayle and I recently walked over to Shoe Tree Brewing, after a successful appliance purchase at Marty's across the Ironwood lot. It's a relatively small place, with limited seating both inside and out. Yet, we came during a quiet weekday time, and all was well sitting outside. Gayle and I tried a variety of beers (in mostly the 4 and 8 ounce variety) from a generous selection. We really enjoyed both our adult beverages and the friendly folks that were running the place. The place is also dog-friendly. Note: Shoe Tree sells snacks, but you can bring in any other food that you want. Various beers and sizes are also available to take home, and Shoe Tree is sold at the nearby Battle Born Wine in Gardnerville. read more

New brewery open in Minden! Same ownership as the one in Carson City. They have ~16 beers on tap that they brew. Tried the cherry sour and the blood orange- blood orange was super smooth. Highly recommend. Worker very nice and friendly. They let you sample before purchasing. They also have growlers for $8. read more

Shoe Tree is a popular brewery with the locals. We arrived on a weekday evening and there were plenty of people inside and outside, both singles and families. The vibe was festive, partly because there was live entertainment. A solo act of a singer guitarist was playing outside. Normally, I'm all for added entertainment but the guy was a little loud. It was hard for me to talk to my wife. Nevertheless, we got a flight of beers and drank outside. They were all pretty good quality. Two of them, the Handshake King Vanilla and the Taquito Burrito, had strong vanilla flavor. I can't confidently say that the Burrito flavor was from vanilla. It was simply unique, and we both concluded that it was vanilla. The Burrito was also the first Stout-American that I had ever tasted. Upon further research, I see that it might just be and American Stout, which I have had before. Good work by Shoe Tree for mixing up the name to think that customers are having an original. On our way out we grabbed a four pack of the Coco Burrito Stout. The picture on the can looked eerily similar to a Choco Taco, my favorite ice cream sandwich when I was a kid. I don't really go to brewery's often, we went to listen to a guitar player. The music was great, I got a lemonade that night it was good! The place is nice and clean inside. We sat at a table with a guy that was already there. The tables were full when we arrived. We had good conversation good music , everyone liked what they were drinking. Not much to offer in regards to food. But they allow you to bring in your own food. The guy we sat down at the same table with and talked with that night, is now my boyfriend! Lol so I'm glad we decided to go that night! They seem to have a lot of local bands play I see announced on fb. We stopped in for a cold one after driving from east of Austin ending a four day peak bagging trip in eastern and central Nevada. We are very glad that we did. The beer is excellent and received great service from Taylor, working the taps. Had a great conversation about the brewery, brewing in general, hiking, and how the brewery came to be named. He poured small tastes of several beers, and we settled on the amber and an IPA. Both excellent! He also gave us a good recommendation for lunch since there is no food at the brewery. Will definitely go back next time in the Carson Valley. read more
